They knew exactly what I like. Although i suspect everything is good here. Super delicious! And great service! So happy my friend took me here. LOOOOVE the atmosphere!

Wait staff is busy messing around on their phones, and when asked any questions on the menu respond with an abrupt, «what?» Brunch is disgusting and the frittatas are basically burned omelettes. Served our gluten free request, by placing floured latke’s on both plates, and telling us they had no alternative sides, at a restaurant that has a big sign saying we have gluten free pastas, desserts and offerings. Left $ 0.01 tip.

Came here for lunch with two coworkers. I was impressed by the décor. It looks really fancy inside! We ordered from the lunch menu and I was surprised how small the portions were for the price. $ 13 for penne a la vodka from the regular menu. It was really good though. $ 12 for regular pasta with sauce. Super small portion… the salmon lunch special was not so good to my coworker. She was not satisfied. But I liked the salad that came with the lunches. It was refreshing. The mozzarella cheese with tomato and pesto was a bit weird tasting at first but it grew on me and it actually tastes pretty good.

I made a reservation here for mother’s day brunch because they were the only restaurant I could find in the area that would accept a reservation on a holiday for 15 guests. 4 of us arrived first at 11:50AM, our reservation was for 12PM. We were sat immediately to my surprise. A few moments later, the manager(I assume) came over, angrily telling us we were not to have been seated without our full party and demanded we call our missing people and find out how soon they’d be arriving. I apologized and tried to reassure him they would be there within 10 minutes, since we were still early for our reservation. He came back over several times to continue to complain, in so many words, about how we were losing him money by taking up space. What is the point of a reservation if this is how you get treated? We didn’t demand to be seated, it isn’t out fault they sat us without our full group! When everyone finally arrived, we were rushed the entire time. The food is decent and the unlimited drinks is great, but for the experience we had, feeling uncomfortable and like our business wasn’t wanted, it wasn’t how I’d imagined mother’s day would be. I understand brunch is a busy time, especially with large groups, but the way management treated us was unacceptable. Especially with an automatic 20% gratuity! I won’t be back.

It sounds like the brunch is good… The dinners, however, are really underwhelming. The waitstaff is unenthusiastic. Almost $ 70 for one person for flavorless food served to you by slimy, huckster-ish staff. Some of the food tastes canned or frozen(do NOT get the tiramasu, or anything with roasted red peppers — unless you like canned, pre-made frozen food and/or Hershey’s chocolate sauce). I find it really disappointing to pay top dollar in what is really a neighborhood joint just to get normal, not especially skilled, food. I mean, maybe I got the wrong things(woulda liked to see how they did a risotto), but what I got was bland, bland, bland. For entrees starting at $ 30 in a residential neighborhood, you better have your shit together to back that up. They don’t. Even my $ 9 glass of wine tasted thin. The more I think about my meal, the more disappointed I get.

I came here for brunch with a group of my girlfriends in October 2014. There were 9 of us all coming from different directions, 4 from Mill Basin, 2 from Bensonhurst and 3 from Staten Island. I am born and raised in Brooklyn but moved to San Diego in 2010 and was getting all best girls together for brunch is hard enough. Obviously, because of the neighborhood, parking is a nightmare but I won’t hold that against them. My biggest issue with them and why they are only getting 4 stars, is they wouldn’t seat us until the whole party was there. This is frustrating with big parties coming from all over the place. Like at least let us sit and have our drinks! The place was also a little uppity. I did enjoy the food. I’m not sure if I would go back again though.

I came here with a girlfriend for brunch. We had no expectations for the place, and just wanted to grab some brunch and drinks. Our waiter was great, and very patient(which we love because we take forever to decide on what we want). Before we even placed our order, he asked what drinks we would like so he can start us on our unlimited, which was pretty sweet. After that, we never saw the bottom of our glasses. The staff was attentive, friendly, and accommodating to our requests. I ended up having the Fusilli al Salmone, which had a good portion of pasta with salmon throughout, tossed in a creamy pink sauce; and my friend had the Gallinella, which was a grilled chicken sandwich. Overall, we had a great time, and did I mention the staff was patient, because my friend and I typically tend to get carried away in our conversations, and stayed wayy past brunch hours.

Went for brunch one Friday afternoon and had the eggs Benedict with salmone. It was incredibly tasty, the service was wonderful and friendly, and it was overall very charming! Would love to go back and try the dinner menu!

Came in with friends for the brunch. All the food was pretty good, nothing outrageous. We ordered eggs Benedict and the salmon Benedict. The pound cake that came with the meal was not good, potatoes were amazing. The 3 star rating was mostly for service from the owner. The servers that helped us at first were very nice. As expected when you come to these brunches you expect the unlimited drinks(that you are paying for) to keep flowing. We had a few glasses when the owner essentially cut us off by pouring us glasses of OJ instead thinking that we wouldn’t notice. Needless to say they quickly cleared out plates and brought us the check. If you are expecting to drink, eat and hang out with friends this is one of the least accommodating brunches I’ve been to.

I went here for dinner and had a pleasant experience. Our waiter was really attentive and knew the menu inside and out. I ordered the eggplant rollatine and my friend ordered the seafood linguine. The sauce was amazing and they kept the free bread flowing. I would go back again.

We have been to Sotto Voce three times. Each for dinner. We have ordered the same thing each time, and while we want to change our ways, our meals are just sooo good. The place is small and cozy. The furnishings are modern and tasteful. I ordered the beef carpaccio to start and my partner ordered the bruschetta. My carpaccio was nice. It has the thin slices of beef. One top there is a nice salad with Parmesan shavings. It was great, I just wish it had a coarse sea salt on top(a little salt did the job though). The bruschetta comes with three large pieces topped generously with diced, dressed tomatoes. Also, you are provided some bread with olive oil and a sun-dried tomato spread to start. For my main I had the montenero. It had caramelized onions and mushrooms with a cream sauce. I always sub the rigatoni for the house-made fettuccine. It is work it. They cook on the pasta is perfect with a good bite. My partner had the salmon wrapped with gratin. The mustard spice was on point. We order the same thing for a reason. The service was okay. The runner was very nice and our server was cool too. I almost wish it was the same person who assists consistently though. The prices are good considering the quality of the food. We are both fans of this place.

Been here for lunch on several occasions Food is fair, nothing to spectacular But it is always incredibly noisy Honestly there are better options near by The only draw is the outdoor space which is nice but noisy in the summer.

Four of us had brunch on a Saturday. The food and service was excellent. Our waiter kept our glasses refilled consistently and the mimosas are not too watered down! Food arrived in good time and everyone was happy with their choice. The eggs Benedict was a decent size and very tasty. Potato latkes with the egg dishes is a nice touch. Atmosphere is good; light and airy — not too loud but not quiet either. Exactly what I want from a brunch spot.

My friends and I came for brunch on a Sunday at 1pm. Two of us were there first, but we were waiting on a third, and they let us sit at our table, but couldn’t order until the third person came. They offer a bottomless brunch for $ 18.95 per person, and the cocktails will continue coming as long as you’re still eating. I ordered the contadina omelette, and my friends ordered the pancakes which comes with fresh fruit on the side, and the salmon eggs Benedict. On the side with each entrée they serve you latkes, which were soooooo good, I wanted more of them! Our food came out to the table in about 15 minutes, and tasted very fresh and tasty, we all enjoyed our meals. The bottomless brunch is what sold me to come here, but I would definitely come back again, maybe for dinner next time.

Everything was fine until the end. On the website states that it is $ 20 minimum for credit/debit cards, so when I gave the manager my card to swipe and it turned into a argument; there goes me being a regular costumer never returning. My friend and I were regular customers(nearly 3years) at aperitivo, so after they shut down, and we found sotto Voce, we were happy. Now, the payment issue aside, the biggest problem arose when one of the waiters, or he’s maybe manager, was leaning over us talking, and coughed(yes you read correctly), over our drinks, and walked away. Never bothered to apologize. Icing on the cake was him coming after me when I left the establishment, calling me rude wagging his finger into face for calling him out on his disgusting ways. YOUDONOTCOUGHIN A PERSONSDRINKANDEXPECTTHEMTOBEOKAYWITHITESPECIALLY A PAYINGCUSTOMER! You are sadly mistaken if you think that this behavior would have been ok, and I was to just deal with it, and keep quiet. Needless to say, I’m done! I will make sure I file my formal complaint with the proper outlets.

Great dining experience in a really cool area. I went with 12 friends on a Saturday afternoon before we headed over to Royal Palms Shuffleboard(20 minute walk by the way). I walked in and was a little thrown off because they told me I didn’t have a reservation even though I had just called to confirm that morning. Nevertheless they set up a long table for us by the window, and we were able to get seated pretty quickly after everyone got there. They’re pretty strict about that by the way — you need your whole party there before they even think about seating you. The brunch special is actually out of this world. I’m used to Manhattan bottomless where it’s a little more expensive and they try to get you out of there pretty quickly. not at this place — they let you drink as long as you’re eating(so eat slowly!) and they’re amazing with refills. You can choose between champagne, mimosas, and bloody Marys, and they give you this unreal unlimited poundcake as well! They got our drink and food orders pretty quickly, and then I’m not kidding you when I say they had the food out within 15 minutes. Great service on one hand, but on the other we didn’t really even finish our first drink before the food came out. I would have liked a little less rushed of an experience. I got the eggs florentine which was pretty solid but nothing crazy. The potato pancakes they give you on the side though are pretty unreal. My friends ordered some pasta dishes, and they were decent portions and tasted great! Overall I’d definitely come back here but maybe with a smaller group since they seemed pretty overwhelmed with all of us.

Service and seating were very slow despite reservations. The hostess was a bit rude and dismissive at first. I can say that the food was good and the mimosa’s were flowing. The space is very small and the staff was challenged by large parties. Be prepared to wait with or without reservations.

The drinks continue to flow! That definitely is a highlight of Sotto Voce. They never allowed your glass of mimosa or water to go empty. The food was average and everyone in my group had a clean plate once done. My only gripe with the food is that there were no alternatives to substitute the pork products. Ummmm hello! This is NY, city of variety. In all things! The staff was decent but be assertive or else you might get treated like a chump. This is a very small restaurant but they serve you pretty quickly to maintain a turnover. I wouldn’t recommend this place to impress an out of towner but it’s still worth a visit. I am a firm believer that if you are with the right crowd, you can enjoy most experiences. Once the mimosas started to flow we went zero to 100 real quick.

My boyfriend and I came here to celebrate our 3.5 year anniversary and to have brunch. Nice, mid-sized restaurant in the heart of Park Slope. Décor was simple and the restaurant had a nice and cozy ambiance. For weekend brunch, there’s unlimited mimosas, champagne, bloody Mary, homemade pound cake, hot coffee or hot tea. So many options. We started off with mimosas. It was light, simple, and delightful to drink. There was a lot more orange juice than champagne. We were given a bread basket and inside was two slices of bread and of the homemade pound cook. According to my boyfriend, the pound cake was delicious! My boyfriend ordered the Gallinella which was a grilled chicken sandwich with lettuce, tomato, and mayonnaise and side salad. The sandwich looked amazing, but I didn’t try it. My boyfriend wasn’t a huge fan of it and said he’s had better. I decided to order the Eggs Saporite which is oached eggs with ham and portobello mushrooms with Hollandaise sauce. Sotto Voce’s approach to the Eggs Saporite is very unique because you’re not getting the classic English muffin like you would for Eggs Benedict, instead you’re getting the portobello mushroom. It was very moist and soft. The homefries were cooked perfectly. It had a nice crunch to it! Everything about this dish, just came together and it was vibrant and very delicious! I definitely would recommend Sotto Voce for a brunch spott because it’s a cozy and local restaurant that you won’t be disappointed with. And, unlimited drinks, hot coffee or tea, and homemade pound cake? Who can resist?
