I stopped at this restaurant that every time we pass by we look into it but finally today(Father’s day) we did. Let me tell you that the food is absolutely amazing, the service is very poor. Our drinks finished and we waited, and waited until we decided to go. The plates on our tables were never removed until we asked for the check. Note to owner: please upgrade your customer service because you are loosing money. If I gave you a 4 start you will probably never pay attention to your poor service!

Song, how much you disappointed me. I’m a huge fan of Joya there sister Restaurant in downtown Brooklyn and I assumed the quality of food would be consistent with that of JOYA and it deviated so far away! I have a standard dish that I absolutely love at Joya and its there American broccoli pad see ew. I’ve been ordering it for years. When I went into song I ordered it to go, along with another meal. The décor is very similar to Joya, it’s cute. The staff that took my order were nice as well. My issue lies with the food. When I got home I realized how much they messed up my order and gave me Chinese broccoli instead of American broccoli and for some«odd» reason it was spicy?! Why I have no clue, but it was spicy. They give you a lot of food but I’d never thought I’d say this they loaded it with so Much food it looks unappetizing it’s just like to the top. It looked like they needed to get rid of someone’s old pad see ew and dumped the leftovers to fill the container. I’m all for big portions but this was a little overdoing it especially when the quality Dept was strongly lacking. If your going to go for the we’re giving you a whole lot of food for nine dollars approach id rather a smaller portion where the food tastes good. Would definitely not be coming back to song!

This is not my first time at Song and I have to say I had a great experience. The food was delicious the service was great and their were eight of us. I didn’t particularly enjoy the meal I ordered, but I was trying something different than I would normally try. I had everyone at the table try my dish and they all enjoyed it. I was able to pick off of all my families plates so I was fully satisfied. My fiancé ordered the skirt steak and I must say the sauce was amazing, full of flavor with a little kick. Everything was really good

Set in an incredible location, Song has a lively atmosphere with a wonderful staff. Song used to be one of those«low-key» spots but has recently blown up and sadly, now is even more difficult to get a table on a lively Friday or Saturday night! Incredible staff which jokes and is very sweet — all dishes come in large, awesome portions. If you are a fan of calamari, one order of large fried calamari would fill two people and then some! Feel free to ask for more sauce though, as one cup will not be enough. Chicken pad see yew is my go-to, and all drinks from the bar are quite strong. They also offer Thai and Italian beer which is arguably somewhere difficult to find in many other Thai restaurants. Song is nearly identical to Joya, I believe they are both owned by the same person, could be wrong — but Song is an amazing Thai restaurant to grab food at. Only downside is that on weekdays, it opens at 5pm.

Always a great meal for an amazing value! Drunken Noodles with chicken is my go to, but we’ve tried many other dishes and are always happy. Great atmosphere, too.

Inexpensive, delicious food. Poor service. I tend to be very forgiving about service, but throughout our meal at Song I was truly distracted by our server’s inattention. Fifteen or twenty minutes after I wanted to order a second drink, we managed to get his attention and I ordered it, not even sure if I wanted it anymore. Didn’t matter. He never brought the drink. In addition to being frustrating to me the customer, this would anger me if I were his boss, as it’s a loss of money to the restaurant! Smh. I really enjoyed my dish of grilled shrimp pad thai with avocado, and my Better Half had a half chicken cooked perfectly falling off the bone, served with just-right crunchy brussels sprouts. Were I rating Song on the food alone, I’d add a star. Too bad.

Okay so they don’t have the most attentive service but I honestly rarely come here to dine in. It’s my go-to order-in restaurant. The pad thai is my favorite dish and I rarely deviate from this because it hits the spot every time. The fried calamari is addictive as a bag of chips. Combine these two with netflix and I call that a solid night in.

My Absolute favorite Thai in NYC. It’s delicious and cheap. The service isn’t the friendliest but the food more than makes up for it. It’s hard to get a seat for a big group during primetime so beware, you’ll have to wait quite awhile. That being said, I’ve been coming here for years and I compare all other Thai food to this place.

I ordered a shrimp dish and found this piece of chew up beef after 2 – 3 bites. It’s disgusting! Totally lost my appetite. Oh well, they just lost me as a customer.

My friend was here few times before. He said this is pretty nice place with thai food so we should go there. As for me asian cuisine isn’t my favorite, so I went there without great desire. There were four of us, and weather was warm, so we decided to have a sit on the backyard of restaurant. I ordered to try Moo Kratiam, and I definitely have to say that it was tasty. I had a great experience at Song. I would definitely come back.

Excellent service, food, and atmosphere. I will always return to this place. Had the chicken with mango tonight, app of chicken curry puffs and a Thai house salad that I highly recommend. But not recommend for someone with peanut allergies.

I came here with my friends and each of us got a different meal to share. We like the Pad Thais(chicken, and sea food), Tom Yum soup, and appetizers(ribs, spring and summer rolls) more than the seafood fried rice, spicy noodle, pad see Yue, and a curry dish(forgot which one). I told my friends, the Fried Rice is just fried rice. Spicy noodle was a bit salty. Pad See Yue was bitter for my taste(chinese vegetable), the lemon on the side made it tastier. I really like the Thai ice tea. It’s really sweet.

I most often take Song to go so my review is just of the food which is great and inexpensive — my favorite Thai place!(*note this the twin-sister restaurant of Joya in Cobble Hill). Dining in can be loud and busy, but usually still enjoyable. My favorites: Pad See Yu Massaman Curry Chicken and Broccoli *check out the specials Not my favorites(but still good): fried calamari pad thai

I dont know why they have such a low rating. This is my go to place for great food with great menu prices. The staff is always quick & the food always hot great & flavorful. For the warmer days theres even a backyard with ample seating. Parking is tricky around the area but overall its about the food!

A couple week ago I was in Brooklyn visiting family. We had spent the whole day walking around, sightseeing and shopping. The whole day passed us quickly and before we knew it, it was 9:30 and we were starving. Someone recommended Song as a great place to get some Thai food. Big portions and low prices too. I couldn’t say no to that so off we went. When we arrived they were about an hour out from closing. The restaurant was still pretty busy but we were seated quickly. I ordered the glass noodles, my sister ordered the pad thai, and my brother ordered the yellow curry. The food came pretty fast and they weren’t kidding about the large portions. Holy cow! The food was pretty delicious, nothing to complain about there. The curry was the perfect amount of spicy. Sometimes I notice curry is either too spicy or not spicy enough. I did feel a little rushed towards the end of the meal but I can’t really blame the staff, I know they want to go home too. We paid our tab and left with our leftovers(which made a great breakfast that next morning). I really enjoyed my meal and I’ll definitely go back when I’m in the area. One tip, stay away from the house red. I ordered it and couldn’t stand the taste. :(

On a cold February day when everyone had the good sense to stay indoors, I linked with a friend to eat some Thai. Song was the choice and there will be another and another because Song’s food was delightful. They do the known Thai dishes with respect and with a little extra flair. Mango Salad: refreshing & filling Basil Noodles(without egg): meaty, warm, smokey from open fire preperation, seasoned perfectly Give this place a try. It is the perfect staple when you aren’t feeling to try someplace new.

My friend recommended this place so i decided to bring my family here for dinner one night. We didnt have rsvp and it was a wkend. but only waited abt 5 – 8 mins(we got lucky i guess! Cos it was def a full house). I do have to say i dont think their vents are good enough becos it was very smokey inside the restaurant and i felt it in my eyes. The tables were pretty small or their dishes were too big. Becos we were strugglin w space. Their thai iced tea is really good as it is not too milky or too sweet like most thai places. I can actually say one of the best thai iced teas ive had. My bf really liked their curry, my son and i enjoyed their steak and my sis really liked her pad thai. The appetizers were also very good, puff pastry, calamari, and mussels. Customer svc was decent – it was a full house so we did hafto wait here and there to get our orders taken down and to get condiments/utensils and check. Perhaps they can arrange more waitress/waiters on busy nights. Think i only saw 2 walkin around. They have an outdoor area but too bad it was too chilly and didnt get to explore it. We will definitely be back when the weather gets warmer :)

I come here for the chicken curry puffs and the Pad Thai. In that regard, this place is excellent. Various friends who order different dishes have also had really good things to say. I tend to eat here when I’m craving Thai and I’m in slope. Their sister restaurant, Joya, in Carroll Gardens is equally scrumptious. Their portions are humongous, their prices are cheap and the service has always been pretty good with each visit. For Thai, I’d recommend Song if you find yourself in the nabe.

Good Thai and not crazy expensive like some other places in Park Slope/Prospect Heights. Great tom yum. Decent spicy noodles — though not really that spicy and a little soggy at the bottom(also, I asked to add broccoli and I think that helped).

My favorite place for Pad Thai. I’ve brought many of my friends here and not surprisingly, they fell in love with the Pad Thai too. There is a perfect balance between the sweetness, sourness, and saltiness. Palate party! The Panang curry is my second go to entrée. The Tom Yum soup is very good on cold days. The prices are very affordable but Song only accepts cash. The place has a hip modern feel. I don’t like the pictures on the wall very much but everything else is very nice. Both bathrooms are modern and usually clean. The back outdoor seating is comfortable and cute but the tiny pebbles are awkward to walk on. I love the transparency of the kitchen. You can see the cooks at work from the inside as well as the outside.
