. They say they trust him and would recommend him to others, that he listens well, spends enough time, and helps you understand your condition. Well, I do not concur.
Soifer misdiagnosed my condition. This caused me 9 months wasted in physical therapy treating me for the wrong thing.
On my visits to Soifer, he spent very little time with me, moving down the hall of exam rooms as quickly as possible. I did not feel that he listened well, and his manner did not engender my trust.
With my new orthopedist, I learned that Soifer’s cortisone injections had been given at the wrong spot, that a topical anesthetic is available, and that an oral anti-​inflammatory for the aftermath is advised. With Soifer I had quite a bit more pain from the injections than is necessary.
Now I have an accurate diagnosis, an accurate cortisone shot with minimal recovery, and appropriate PT. I’m doing tremendously better and I have a good prognosis.
