I went here tonight with some friends, well this was the second time I went here. The first time I walked in sat down and left because it took too long for the waitress to arrive and it wasn’t busy. However tonight wasn’t bad. We were told that we would wait 20 min for a table and it was only 10. The waitress was friendly, the music was good; could have been better but it didn’t break my heart haha. The drinks are nice and strong. After we ate, we decided to try downstairs again music wasn’t bad, ppl were dancing, however there weren’t a lot of ppl and that’s ok with me. Vibes were good, almost stayed in tonight, however I’m glad I didn’t. I’d go back here. Maybe not right away, but I’d return in the future.

Sip N Chat always provides a nice ambiance with good food and great service. The staff are friendly and ensured that my mom and I were given excellent customer service.

Very laid back and relaxed ambiance. Came here to celebrate a friend’s birthday on a Saturday night. Surprisingly became more crowded after 9pm. Recommend coming with a group of maximum 3 – 4 people. Music was lively and service was good. Drinks were good and the food was tasty. I hear there’s an area downstairs that opens up late night for dancing, but unfortunately didn’t get a chance to check it out.

I live around corner couldn’t go home because of work going on so I stopped in for a drink great bar pleasant bartender and beautiful place I will be going for restaurant next it was very early so no crowd when I was there but can’t wait to try again

Came here for a «couples date night» with my boyfriend and friends. First off, can I have a moment of silence for the food… It was AMAZING! I had the curry shrimp and my friends had the roti! The curry was nice and hot just like I like it. Now onto the drinks— these tings were strong Bai! Wow! Totally wasn’t expecting that, especially since most bars give you watered down drinks. SipNChat is not that bar. Be warned lolol. The place also has a downstairs lounge where you can go dance your food off and have a great time! The only downside is the price. This place is pretty pricey, but if you are looking to have fun, dance, have good food and drinks, you will achieve all that here !

HORRIBLE!!! Came on a Monday night were like 4 ppl were here. The waitress took like 30min to attend to us and then had the nerve to tell us that we’re the ones to have to call her so that we could get service… Where they do that at!!! Food took like 40min to come out and it was very average…

1÷8÷2016 came here with 2 of my friends round 9pm for the frist time it was great. We Enjoyed our selves. The food was so good. The music was nice old and new school Caribbean music, which I’m young but still love cuz I grew up with it. The server was friendly and helpful. The place was a lil tight with all the tables and chairs so close to each other, everyone on top each other. Didn’t bother me much but I still would love more room.

Horrible Horrible Horrible experience I’ve had at this venue and I’ve sent people there too I’m ashamed of myself, one guinness $ 8.00 i was so upset I leave the two dollars as tip and walked out. The service is one of the worst I’ve received in Brooklyn. Do not go here.

So I’ve heard a lot about this place. A friend and I randomly decided to stop in. There wasn’t any host to sit us at a table so we stood for a while until a table became available. Our waitress did apologize. I ordered a frozen margarita. But it tasted awful. I prefer a drink with a smooth taste a good balance between flavor and liquor. (I expressed that to the waitress and she immediately spoke to her manager and removed it off my bill). Now the food was really good. Not only did it look good but it tasted even better. It is kind of pricing, but i think it was worth it. ShoutOut to the DJ too, the music was just right.

The owner of this establishment operates a unfair and unethical business. They will charge you for everything, they also have a unique System that is set In place by management to extract your hard Earn money Right out your pocket and it goes a little something like this!!!

The owner of this establishment is just plane greedy and as you can see from the reviews
of this place they makes money and lots of it so please answer this question why are you hustling your clientele’ for more money?

Nice, low-​key spot, and nice ambience. Came here last night and had a good experience despite the loud music. Enjoyed the coconut shrimp with white rice and my date liked his pasta. The names of the drinks are very interesting to say the least.

Laid back and a relaxed atmosphere. Good drink selection. I had shrimp appetizers which were really good. Great for late nights

we started with appetizers which was #jerked chicken & fried shrimp ((both came pipping hot & taste delicious)) very pricey for the seafood and other things
waitress was very nice and attentive
me & my lover had the #sipnchatmargarita & #juicyapple ((sipnchat was very strong)) my lover suckes the juicy appl down as if it were water so dont think thats to strong at all
enjoyed the food & cocktails will definitely be back

On March 11^th, 2015 I came too sip n chat with two sisters and my niece to enjoy dinner and karaōke. DJ went from dance hall too old school music. We joked with the DJ and said «how do you go from dance hall to slow music». DJ apparently got upset and said «DONT TELL ME HOW TOO DO MY JOB, I DONT TELL YOU HOW TOO DO YOUR JOB WHEN U SUCK ING DICK!» We was so shocked and embarrassed. He was so out of line and disrespectful. I could not believe he said that. Needless to say we share some nasty words. I WILL NEVER ATTEND THIS SPOT EVER AGAIN. Their pasta is a fake imitation of «footprints «Rasta Pasta… I plan to speak too the owner the following day… i only add a star because they will not lete proceed without a rating.

This lounge has good food and great music. I visited this spot on a Wednesday, karaōke night. It was lots of fun to sing along to some great reggae tunes. They have a wide variety of drinks. I look forward to coming here again!

I’ve been there twice and enjoyed my visit both times. The food is good, theres a dj and a tv good chill spot. The drinks was ok. The food is pricey but ill go again.

If you’re looking for a delicious selection of carribean food (during the day and late at night) this is the place you must be in. Everything we’ve tried here is phenomenal. The music is diverse, because the DJ really knows what he’s doing (this was a Friday night). I only gave Sip N Chat 4 stars, due to their price… which should be a bit more inexpensive. We always order their shrimp ($ 22 basket; $ 15 jerk; $ 15 coconut; $ 15 bbq) and/​or their $ 38 seafood combo platter (includes all the different shrimps as well as fried fish strips and calamari). I normally don’t have a thing for calamari, but with this combo platter, I found myself going back for more. Drinks, are nice and strong. Dang, this is long, but truthful. …so go and enjoy Sip N Chat!

This is a great local spot! Great music! Great drinks, friendly service and good food. The best fried shrimps ever! You must order that! My only reason for not giving 5 stars is that it is pricey. Manhattan prices. Wish they served brunch.

I really like this spot. I use to come here every week with a friend. The food and drinks are good. I usually order simple meals like the fried wings with hot fries or grilled shrimp with a side.
I recently started coming here on Saturday nights to party downstairs. Each time I went, it was crowded and the music was pumping. I always have a good time!

1. Saturday is a great night for Caribbean music. The DJ really rocked the house with the soca
2. Be sure to spend ten dollars at the bar (~ the cost of one drink) in order to get your receipt as your ‘ticket’ to get downstairs. I repeat, SAVE YOUR RECEIPT to get downstairs.
3. I came around 1. From the hours of 1 – 2 the bar is extremely packed. It is very difficult to get the bartender’s attention to order. If you come between that time, you’re better off just ordering two drinks initially. I didn’t score my first drink until 1:22.
4. The other reviewers were correct. The crowd here is ‘mature’ (Read: old). I’m 31, and I’m certain I was the youngest person in there by at least five years. Don’t get me wrong, there aren’t any grandpas here, but on the flip side you’re not gonna find many dancehall queens here.
5. Speaking of dancing. Fellas look to ‘teef ah wine’, may be sadly out of luck, The guy to girl ratio is insanely in favor for the females. If you come with a woman, keep her close, because she WILL get talked to. And if you’re a guy looking to talk to a nice lady, make sure you close the deal quickly, bc they’re are some ravenous fellows out there.
6. One great thing is the kitchen is pretty much open until 3. Good luck getting a table though, between 12 and 2. Everyone starts to go downstairs around then.
With all that said, if you’re from the islands, dating someone from the islands, think about the islands, have a neighbor from the islands, or whatever, this is a fun place to come and enjoy the music with or without your bottle of rum.
