The store is a true reader’s sanctuary. The shop is small and quaint with lots of corners for reading. It’s like a large den where you could get away from the world and escape into a great sci-fi book. I would highly recommend that all sci-fi literature fans take a trip to this independently owned book store as a literary pilgrimage of reading and to support local/small businesses. Singularity&co will not disappoint true fiction readers

One of a kind. I love their concept and joined as a lifetime member the minute I walked through the door. Check out their special events, where writers are brought together with readers. I will be back here many times and hopefully to answer and read my own work, November Seed, and other WIP. Don’t miss out on this special place. I met some great readers of SciFi while there and the Staff are so helpful and passionate.

Just finally visited this place, after hearing about it for ages. It’s so cool! They have a cat! He bit me! They also have an ass ton of pulpy old scifi and fantasy stuff, which isn’t really my genre but it’s neat to see it anyway. Here’s what I enjoy: places that pick one thing and do it well. Like The Shoveler from Mystery Men, y’know? And that’s what Singularity does. I’m very glad it exists. (ps: no, the cat is really nice. It’s just, y’know, I’ve picked up a lot of strange cats in my time, and what happens there is that sometimes they bite you because who the fuck is this guy picking me up? It’s worth it.)

Brick and mortar may not be their main venture, but Singularity & Co has a uniquely awesome IRL location. The owners gave me great recommendations for new reads and even searched through approximately 100 lbs of unsorted books to see if they had any more Greg Egan. Surrounded by sci-fi paraphernalia and an odd assortment of 3D printers, I was in the perfect environment for some serious book browsing.

For those of you that value the art of having super-knowledgeable owners and staff that are passionate about the work they do, Singularity & Co. is your kind of place. The team there can guide you to just the right book for you. Or, in my case, help me discover great gifts for my sci-fi obsessed friends. If you ask, the owners may give you a tour of their robotics lab located behind a curtain in the store – very cool.

For all you of sci-fi fans and super nerds, Singularity is a must-see and visit. A short stroll from the York Street subway stop, Singularity stands alone at the end of Bridge Street, eerily adjacent to a power grid. The book store is a nod to a lost genre — floor to ceiling shelves boast a plethora of enchanted and fantastical stories, dog-eared paperbacks, and dusty relics boasting UFOs, ethereal beings, and far away lands. The décor is reminiscent of your parent’s wood-paneled 1960’s basement, chock full of flea market finds and even a pay-per-pound book scale. My favorite were two Star Trek Potato Heads about to saber each other. An instant smile came to my face when I walked in — I appreciate anyone’s efforts to protect and idolize a special art, particularly via the written word. The owner also offers subscriptions to Singularity’s e-books, including a few out-of-print novels. Very laid-back, no-rush owners, helpful and friendly. I’ll definitely be going back…
