Alex was amazing! I was fortunate enough to book color with Alex several months back for highlights after having a very hard time finding a colorist who I loved enough to stay steady with. Needless to say, I am never gonna have to find another colorist again!!! Alex is a genius when it comes to color and he works wonders on your hair. He has kept my highlights in check and has most recently turned my caramel highlights to a more sandy/​natural blonde tone. I honestly didn’t think my hair would lift this light but Alex proved to me he can do anything right!

This delightful find is one-​of-​a-​kind! I don’t remember the last time I had such a wonderful salon experience. Alex, the owner, colored my hair with precision, and gave me the perfect cut. Totally worth the trip to Greenpoint from Manhattan, which was like 20 min. Just an amazing place. Will definitely go back time and again! Marc

I have been a client of Alex’s for two years. He is an incredible stylist and colorist. His true gift is marrying what you want with what is practical. The space has a charm and warmth you won’t find anywhere else. When you leave his salon, you will look fantastic and count him as a new friend. I can’t recommend him enough.

Alex has an eye for what works best for your face, structure and for what type of hair you have. (which DOES make a difference!) I was so bored of my old style, and Alex gave me a whole new cut, and I couldn’t be any happier! Also, he is a master of color… I have been trying to go lighter, and he has made it happen!
The studio is stunning. Such a warm and inviting place, and dogs are welcome!
I should also mention that I have had more compliments on my hair than I think I ever had before!

I had a keratin treatment gone really bad in LA. Alex saved my hair. He touches up my roots and literally makes sure the rest of the hair doesn’t even get wet while washing out the color so as not to get chemicals on the damaged hair — he is SO meticulous. As an extra benefit, the new salon is completely chill. No waiting room or wait time, the best salon chairs ever, heated blankets, beverages, snacks, music.

ABSOLUTELY amazing. I came in with a butchered head of hair (no really, I had been cutting it myself for over a year to even out a very horrible side-​cut grow-​out) and looking for it to somehow be made more manageable. It had been so. long. since my hair had been treated right (because I’m living that non-​profit life, and let’s be honest, I don’t have a ton to drop on salon services) but it was *time*…and I’m so glad I went.
I got so much more than I asked for (which was a cut and single process color), I left with an amazing, soft, shiny mane! I don’t even know how Alex did it, as he kept the length of my hair but just cured it of it’s crispy, uneven drama without making me feel bad for letting it get into such a state. I seriously wish I had taken a «before and after» picture to share. Alex is not only talented, friendly, and hospitable, but also built out this beautiful intimate studio himself from head to toe — you can tell he is passionate and loves what he does.
Could not be happier with the entire experience — I will definitely be returning in the future, and also will definitely be recommending to friends!!!
