I was wandering around the neighborhood one Saturday night and saw some jewelry out of the corner of my eye. I was drawn to the window and started oohing and ahhing over the stuff. I regularly shop at places in w’burg and Young Designers Market and other miscellaneous shops around the village and Court/Smith Street in Cobble Hill. I really liked this store. I think it has great things with great prices. I’ve been to some places in the city with similar jewelry or similar goods that were really over priced. It has a great assortment of kids clothes, tees for guys and girls, jewelry, hand made cards, tote bags, artwork, and so on and and so forth. I went in looking for a necklace and maybe a watch. I left with a watch, a gift for my cousin’s newborn and 3 year old, a shirt for myself that was on sale… and almost bought a canvas bag on the way out but I restrained myself. I’m very happy with my purchases. I even got free gift wrapping for the gifts for my cousin’s kids. I’m happy to have discovered this place. I’ll definitely be going back to check it out. It’s not cheap but it’s not over priced. Support local art and artists!

See, I just discovered that this store is unbelievably close to my apartment, which means now I have to go in there and buy sh*t all the time. Except none of it is sh*tty — all the stuff is adorable and relatively affordable. I just bought a hand-made, painted tote bag from there for $ 30, but it was totally worth it(especially as opposed to places nearby that sell similar items for $ 50 at least). They also have a great selection of cards, jewelry & I saw little baby clothes. I’m considering getting pregs just so I have another excuse to go back.

It’s amazing how much is crammed into this tiny jem of a store, where you will find everything from oh-so-cute baby clothes, delicate jewelry, and cool wall art to silk screened tees. The hand printed cards are as lovely as the owner, and I almost never fail to find totally unique gifts here for birthdays and special occasions.

This is one of your neighborhood artisan run clothing/accessory shops, full of the cute and colorful of all different styles but with those little extra«je n’ai que pas» that puts it on top. It’s a small little place tucked into an alley, and that makes it wickedly cool for some it’s almost squatter-like affinity. There is the small store space, so you don’t have to surrounded by the effluvium of humanity if that’s not your bag, and the small back-room/workshop is just oh so small. It’s adorable. They tend to play some righteous soundage too, so the experience can even get borderline synaestetic. I do a good amount of gifting from here, both to ensure the quality of the gifts(I give gifts trying to make people cry), and to keep the cash flowing as much below the belts of the already rich as possible. So all you have to do is make it happen.
