The Seeley Market is a well stocked little market with both standard brand and upscale items. I can usually find the last minute item that I need and a craft beer that I want. The folks behind the counter may appear stoic, and a little grumpy, but that’s just a façade — the’re nice and often give you a reason to laugh.

This isn’t a bad little place. It’s a little cramped, but it has almost everything you would find in a supermarket. It’s in a good location, right across the street from the park.

This is a good market for convenience: it has a good selection of general food, ice cream, soda, cleaning supplies. Always well stocked, and the people there are a nice family. However, it is on the expensive side. I recommend it as a pit stop if you’re running home and don’t have time to shop around.

The Seeley Deli, or the Seedy Deli as it was lovingly refereed to, was the closest deli to my old apartment in Brooklyn. It was wonderful for an occasional sandwich before heading off to Prospect park to watch birds. Yes I watch birds in prospect park! You want to make something of it?! The sandwiches aren’t great(hence the 3 stars) but they are cheap… and cheap is my middle name… wait that didn’t come out right. The real problem with the sandwiches is the bread. It’s that crappy white stuff that tastes vaguely like bread, but more like a dense sponge. So go get a sandwich and look at some birds. (Redheads are my favorite.)
