Delicious and great service! Prices are pretty good, but competitive with Brooklyn greasy spoon. Schnitzel sandwiches are always fresh and they come with a nice choice of sauces. Sides are great too!

I placed an order at this restaurant online and 21:35 for delivery. They charged my card right away, and on the receipt it said that it will take approximately 45 to deliver. I called them at 22:26 to find out where my food is, and was told that it will be delivered in 15 to 20 minutes. at 22:59 the food still wasn’t delivered, so I called again and was told that it’s on the way and it should be by me within 15 minutes. At 23:18 I called them up again and I asked where my food is I was told that the branch I ordered it from is currently closed and I can come pick it up, by another branch, when I tried explaining to the employee that I placed the order two hours earlier, and my card was charged already, and I was told on the phone twice that my food is on the way, i expect it to be delivered, and not go pick it up. The employee hung up on me. Therefor I tried calling back again and after putting me on hold for 4 minutes the guy tells me that the employee I spoke to is new and doesn’t know what he is talking about, and i can come pick up my food if I want. in conclusion I waited two hours and my card was charged, yet no food and the store is not willing to take responsibility and instead of realizing that they are wrong they yelled at me and hung up the phone twice. So if you don’t want to go through all that for just a little bit of food buy someplace else.

Good food. Little bit pricey and the staff can use a little yoga time because they are way to loud in there

Greasy and wonderful. You have to be in the mood for this kind of food. Not the healthiest choice of food but yummy and worth the calories ;)

I placed a phone order and they told me that it would be delivered within forty minutes. Fifty minutes later it still hadn’t arrived, so I called them. I ended up having to wait an hour and a half with the person in the phone asking me me if I minded«walking three blocks» to pick it up from the delivery dude who couldn’t find my house. To top that off, after waiting for a very aggravating hour and a half(with really hungry family members), for cold food(No way it stayed warm that long). They kinda botched my order, giving me regular bread instead of whole wheat and adding stuff I specifically asked them not to. When I called and complained they offered me a $ 15.00 credit which was cool, but still not worth the hassle.

I ordered tonight through their online ordering system. The online ordering system did not say they weren’t delivering tonight. They advertise free delivery. They are required to deliver it. I got a phone call about it, was upset, but went down because I didn’t want to cancel the order and fight with paypal to get the money back. Went down and ran into their unofficial delivery person. Yes, you heard me right: An unofficial delivery guy. So I had to walk in the cold, with my cane and limp, to get my food for myself and my wife… but you actually are having a person deliver? On top of that I got a smaller order than I ordered. I ordered extra meat and I didn’t get it. I ordered a normal sandwich and they gave me a smaller one. Ordered a regular order of fries and also got a smaller one. I was already home when I found out. So; if you order from there double check your order. Do not use their online system. I love the food but they just lost a customer and a person who used to refer them to their restaurant.

I ordered a whole wheat baguette with an Indian, and It wasn’t the tastiest on the menu. Aside from that, the bread itself was kind of old.

On multiple occasions, particularly when getting delivery, the chicken has been raw or not fully cooked. Be careful when eating this food. Otherwise it’s a decent place.

The season has arrived. I take inglorious tours of food trucks to find out what I’m missing that the other working people who eat meat at lunch have. The blue shirted men who take less half an hour for their lunch and complain about technical documentation, showing gold chain link bracelets and speaking with a New York/Russian accent. Oh wait, those are the dudes that wait by the Polish truck. The Schnitzi truck has Kosher schnitzel sandwiches with breading choices that apparently represent various countries: Italian, Polish, etc. It attracts similarly bedraggled working men(but Jewish, and not Russian with threatening hints of gold jewelry… depending on your mother’s nationality, the word Jewish is italicized in this sentence). Anyway, I ordered the Schnitzi. A crackled slab of fried schnitzel is folded lengthwise on a bone-white cafeteria style baguette the size of a small clown shoe. The chicken meat is fairly juicy, and crispy on the outside, but not exceptionally complex in flavor. It contains a Middle Eastern tasting(tahini-based?) sauce, pickles, and add ons that make it taste like a falafel sandwich. They were gracious and gave me several spicy sauces, none of which really added to the flavor of the sandwich. The Chimichurri sauce was oddly pureed with a hint of what seemed like kiwi. I walked around swinging this gargantuan sandwich in a bag and I’m not convinced someone didn’t think I was going to sock them in the mouth with it. Good.

Food is always great and is freshly prepared in front of you. Not once was I disappointed. Granted, many times this place is mobbed but that’s a testament to how good the food is.

Well, I can definitely understand the different opinions about Schnitzi… Since I order or go to the place often, I can tell that service can be great(just like today) And on the other hand they can be rude and careless. There were times when I got a very dry, not chewable schnitzel but I learned to open my mouth and ask them not to burn it!!! What I really love is their sauces(garlic-mayo is my favorite), and their baguette is good:)

My review is for the delivery only! i have never been there. I had guests who only eat Kosher, a quick search revealed this place. We ordered for 3 people, 1 Burger and 2 Heroes with chicken. The delivery guy over the phone was very nice and helpful, and we got the food within 30 minutes. So far so good. The food was good, for a fast food place, the only problem was that in my friends sandwich, the chicken was so hard, that it was almost impossible to eat it. I must say that my chicken was delicious, and my friends Burger was delicious as well. I will try them again!

This place is delicious ! I love Schnitzi’s so much I can’t collect my thoughts enough to write a proper review. If and when they open a shop in Manhattan it will be a game changer for me. I pray to the G-d of Abraham, Isaac and Jacob(I’m not a person of faith, so this is big) that in my time they will come to Manhattan and grace us with their Israeli soul food.

After reading all the rave reviews about Schnitzi, I finally decided to try it out. What a mistake!!! The place is filthy, the menu prices are too high and the food sucks. I tried their double burger. They barely put tomatoes or pickles in my sandwich. The sauce wasn’t that great, but the worst part was the meat. The burgers were two pieces of rubber that tasted horrible. All night I was burping nasty burps that felt like I ate a whole rotten cow. The next day I was still sick from this crappy burger and all my clothes smelled of filthy food. I don’t recommend this place to anyone.

Footlong fried chicken subs — yes please. An extra side of garlic mayo — — double yes please! I love getting food at shnitzi! I especially love getting food there if it’s for a football game or other sporting event. The food here is kosher fast food at it’s finest! My husband and I like to call ahead to pick up our orders to go most of the time, but we have eaten inside a few times. It’s always clean and fast. The staff is friendly and cheerful(even when the place is packed). Watch out for«Jewish lines» though, my people don’t queue up very well and you could end up as the perpetual«back of the line» if you’re not careful.

I know it’s weird that I went to a schnitzel place and got a salad, I KNOW, you don’t have to tell me but that’s what I ended up doing the day I went to Schnitzi. And to be honest… I don’t really regret it. I’m sure I missed out on some great schnitzel but the salad I got was one of the most delicious, if not the best salad I’ve ever had. I got the steak salad, which came with lettuce(duh), tasty sauteed onions, tomatoes and according to the website«sauteed grilled rib eye.» What a treat! I kept exclaiming to my friend how good it was while I was eating it. Now, this was a STEAK salad so it was the most expensive thing on the menu but it’s a only a about two dollars more than the most expensive schnitzel and a few dollars more than the rest of the schnitzels. One really great thing about this place is that if you happen to visit the area on a Saturday night after neglecting to think about most places being closed due to Shabbat, like I did, You just have to wait until Shabbat ends and voila you can eat at Schnitzi and try the steak salad for yourself.

I love Schnitzi. There’s no other way to say it. This was one of my birthday choices for 2011 along with the nearby delectability that is Mimi’s Hummus. I honestly didn’t know that schnitzel could be like this until I stumbled on Schnitzi’s a couple of years ago. Now it’s one of the things that I miss a lot while I’m putting in my time outside of BK. This is chicken schnitzel and the serving sizes are potentially huge. As in, one sandwich could maybe serve two people, but you’ll love the flavours so much, you’ll want the whole thing for yourself. Or, go with some friends and order a few and then share — they cut them in half for you to make it easier. My favourite Schnitzel flavor is the French with a melding of dijon mustard and bread crumbs. I usually ask the people making my sandwich to choose the sauces for me as I love their customized blends, but I definitely always try to get the garlic-mayonnaise somewhere in there. It is SO tasty. The Greek Schnitzel is also one of my faves as are the Schnitzi fries — thinner than a regular fry and so golden and crispy. Stop by and have one for me — it will be one of my first pilgrimages when I make it back to BK.
