So i work at fdr high school and my co workers and i decide to order from a menu we found on line. Basically their prices were not updated they were double the amount. After much arguing and being hung up on and the delivery guy calling the owner at his home we agreed to an amount. Once we open the food the potato salad was spoiled and the food was very bad smh never will order from here their customer service was not even on the level of acceptable and the food not worth the battle

0 stars!!! Today I ordered the family meal from seamless and I was supposed to get a half rotisserie chicken and they gave me half a chicken breast and some chicken bones of what appears to be a small bird. I clearly ordered Pepsi and they gave Sprite. I called them to tell them about the mistake and the rudest lady answered the phone saying the chicken came out that way becoz of how it was cut. I know that’s BS. The chicken fell apart like that coz they gave me old chicken. And also do your job and cut that chicken well and send your customers the portion they ordered for and not some bones! She did not even apologize at all for her mistake. She placed the blame on another person who placed the Sprite in the bag and that she was very busy coz they have a lot of people there. I’m paying too, so pay attention to my order as well! She said she was going to send the delivery guy again for a new chicken and Pepsi. After she argued with me. The delivery guy came back soon enough with the Pepsi and the new chicken. I just took the Pepsi bcoz If I know that rude girl, she’s the type who would spit on your food. I’m done with this restaurant. NEVERAGAIN. I refuse to give my money again to rude people who can’t treat their customer right. Rice was uncooked and chicken chunks was burnt!

SOSALTY. Ordered lunch from here and found it odd how on different websites all their prices were different. Their lunch special only listed a few things on seamless, though through Unilocal I found other selections. Delivery came on time surprisingly. The food was so so salty. Even the green sauce they gave was salty. Though the chicken stew tasted delicious and was moist, the chicken, rice and the sauce was just full of salt. Their pernil lunch is also more pricey than other places. Probably wont be ordering anytime soon.

This place has delicious food! Haven’t ordered anything I didn’t enjoy. Beef stew is my favorite!!! Love the pernil, baked chicken. Soups are great. Just minor delivery issues, other than that it’s amazing.

In a neighborhood that doesn’t have many options outside of Italian and Chinese food, Quetzal is a breath of fresh air. They offer Dominican food, reasonably priced, and are fairly quick. The food they offer is what any other Dominican food spot offers. Being that they are the only place that offers this, I feel like I’m settling. The food is eh on most days, with the few exceptions when it was great.(I order the Beef Stew and Sweet Plantains). If your looking to try something other than the regular Chinese and Italian food from the neighborhood, Quetzal is your spot. Just be prepared not to be blown away. They just get the job done.

The food took an hour and a half to come. The food was cold and the obviously old tres Leche fell out of a milk soaked bag. Their fruit milkshakes are disgusting. They definitely aren’t made with real fruit or icecream. Quesadillas are supposed to come with plantains and the woman said she’d send them if I paid extra– for a thing I already paid for. Horrible time food and service.

The worse place to eat, we ordered delivery of shrimp soup and a Cubano. Omg the bowl is just greasey broth, no shrimp. The Cubano has burned ham, old bread and no flavor. …horrible food!

Reordered from here and food was better this time but they really need to work on delivery. Waited 1 hrs and 27 min for delivery– to me unacceptable. I called to ask if order went out and they first couldn’t locate order they told me it left 10 mins ago only to arrive 20 mins later

I ordered the fries, guac and beef stew to go. The fries were regular fries, the guac was really oily. When I finished the guac, the bottom was drenched in oil. I wish they gave chips with the guac not just plain guac. Had to go around the corner deli looking for chips to dip the guac. The beef stew was mainly just the soup base with a few pieces of meat. The meat was alright however I just believe they could’ve gave more meat instead of 75% of it was soup base. On my way out, I saw a lot of people coming for the whole chicken or half a chicken. It seemed pretty yummy, maybe I’ll try that next time. Overall, my experience with this restaurant was average. Nothing special.

I have personally experienced now the mediocre food from Quetzal Restaurant, which was a true bummer. I ordered delivery so I am only rating based on the response time, delivery time, and quality of the food itself. Online ordering was easy enough(processed through Eat24 so it’s the same if you go through Unilocal). The confirmation was immediate, and there’s even this little timer/tracker that shows you how long it’s been since the order was processed, and the confirmed delivery time. Delivery took a little longer than the estimate(almost an hour). I ordered mangu, fried chicken, and maduros. The maduros were quite dry and not that enjoyable. Mangu was passable, but not worthy of mention past that. And those items together cost me $ 26 before tipping the delivery guy. In short, we likely won’t be ordering from them again.

I was extremely disappointed with my food to say the least. Everything was way too soggy and even my half grilled chicken was undercooked and still smelled raw. I was recommended to try this place and I regret the amount of money I spent for the crappy food. There go my high expectations and $ 30 bucks.

I picked up food from this restaurant last Sunday, rice, beans and fried chicken chunks. Rice was hard, beans were dried and the chicken dried but but most importantly extremely salty. Fried chicken was not edible. I called and complain and owner of the restaurant gave me a credit of $ 9. Today I decide to give it another try and used my $ 9 credit. I order fried chicken chunks and rice with Rice with peas and I wasn’t surprised. Rice and chicken were salty, small dried pieces of chicken, looked like the left overs from someone else’s plate. Very disappointed. Never ordering from this place.

This place has a C review from the department of sanitation. That should have stopped me but I like to give resturants the benefit of the doubt. It’s 9:40 am and I want homefries with my breakfast(as the menu states that it comes with). The waitress said that the homefries are not ready and would take 45 minutes before they are ready. We didnt get homefries. Ordered mangu with salami and queso and the mangu is COLD. Came here because of the reviews and because I looked for something in the area. It’s confusing on the outside awning. The place says Dominican but the awning outside says tacos and burritos. The menu has Dominican, Cuban sandwiches, and Mexican food. Will I come again? Absolutely not.

I have read several of the reviews some very glowing and some not so good. But I am not here to place a bad review; this place is absolutely fantastic! My go to for Latin was in the Bronx, no more. I love that the food is seasoned just right and delicious. I ordered takeout plates: tender roast pork, juicy roast chicken and their yellow rice w/beans are terrific! And of course the sweet plantains were so succulent… melt in your mouth… The directions to this restaurant are very easy; I had no problem finding a parking space. Yes it’s a small restaurant with 3 or 4 tables & Window seating, the décor is nicely done, very cozy. The staff were just nice as they could be .so I don’t understand these reviews of them being mean. I plan on giving this restaurant my business from now on; I am very happy customer!

My daughter wanted some spanish food but we didn’t want to go to the usual spot that is out of our way. I asked my husband look for something on Unilocal. We orginally wanted to eat in but when we got here we saw how small the place was we decided to just take it to go instead. Also that day was super humid and inside was super hot. We ordered the mofongo(with pork), tripe stew, pork chop and pernil combo special comes with salad, yellow rice, kidney beans, green plantains, small container of stew or some sort(we werent sure what it was used for but tasted good), a 2 liter soda(we realized we didn’t get one till we got to the car, it was our fault because my husband almost took someone elses order and we were asking the staff a lot of questions so we probably distracted them), and green sauce i think its called salsa verde, other place my husband goes to they charge $.25 per container and this place didn’t which is great because he loves this stuff. It was $ 22 but if you checked in to Unilocal you get $ 5 off any order $ 15 and up. That was a really great deal. We loved everything. My husband said the beef stew was really filling and he wouldnt order it if we get the combo meals because he wasnt able to finish everything. It was all good because the next day we had leftovers for work. Definitely will come back to try more food! Edit: I actually loved everything we order and cant say what was a favorite. I cant just choose one.

Food is definitely very good here. First time eating Dominican food and it was very filling. My bf and I got rice and beans(only had red), chicken mofongo, Dominican beef soup(very delicious), empanada(we asked for beef but they gave chicken instead) Anda snapple. It reallt isn’t a restaurant although there seats. The restaurant is very small with 4 small tables and a 2seat bar stool at the window. We came around 1pm and it was a very busy lunch hour. It wad very difficult to flag down someone so I could order my food. I came with a coupon so that’s why I needed to make sure everything was in order before I order my food. First mistake I did was not bring a print out, using the app was very confysing for them and took a lot of trouble. They had to make phone calls but they didn’t have the number… which was annoying because I had to look up the number for them. I hope they are more prepared next time someone comes in with an paperless coupon. This place is great for take out and if you know what you want. Next time I will bring my print out coupon. Other than the mistakes in the order, this place is great for filling home food.
