This florist has been in the neighborhood for decades. The guy who runs it is really nice. Besides the regular flower arrangements they do pretty much all things floral or gardening. I went in to get a plant re-​potted and he recommended a decent pot, doesn’t go for the most expensive ones but gives you exactly what you need. They also have a nice variety of colors.
So the new pot additional soil and a little trim cost me $ 5 bucks. He even gave me a few watering pointers for the type of plant I had. It doesn’t get more neighborhood friendly, mom and pop type of shops than this. With New York City changing so much it’s nice to see some places remain in these tough economic times.
