I walked down the street in search for a café and came by this gem. My friend gave me a hard time for stopping for a pre-dinner snack. Pazzi Pasta hit the spot. Their build your pasta model really work. You’re not forced to eat something which died under a heating lamp. I chose their Sicilian olive tagliatelle with Puttanesca sauce. What a treat. I’m definitely going back!

I’m torn between 3.5 and 4. This is a homemade pasta place on a casual Chipotle-meets-Meatball-Shop service model. You pick up a menu at the start of the counter, mark what you’d like with a provided dry erase marker, and hand it to the staff. Then… you sit down and wait for food? They didn’t take our payment until after the meal, and there wasn’t really an opportunity to buy drinks because only the cook was behind the counter(early evening on a Saturday). The wait was much longer than I expected for a ready-made type of meal, but my pasta was really tasty. I recommend both the cheese sauce and the vegan cauliflower sauce. The bread was pretty stale though.

Ummm do you see any salmon because I don’t? I ordered the semolina pasta with ‘salmon sauce’ what I got was extremely dry pasta w no salmon(see pic) I had to add my own olive oil to it, it was so dry. The bread was decent. Soo bread and plain pasta for $ 16 thru door dash. Terrible would like my $ back

Really cool idea for a restaurant. It’s not at all fast food but it’s food that’s fast and really good. Pasta is the food closest to my heart, I eat it nearly every day. I typically make my own pasta from scratch and this place does too. You can see the pasta machine sitting on the counter next to a rack of fresh pastas laid out on baking trays. For the dough they use Italian semolina flour. There are lots of options for sauces and toppings. It’s great place to grab a nice bowl of pasta without having to go through the hustle of little Italy.

I’ve been wanting to come here for such a long time already, so my boyfriend and I decided to come the other night for dinner, and I’m glad we did. We came in on a Monday night and it was literally dead in there, there was one other couple dinning, but it was super quiet which made it a little awkward, but that was the only down part of the experience. The concept of Pazzi Pasta is cool. They have menus and dry erase markers which you mark off the pasta, sauce, and any sides you want to order. There is such a variety of different pastas to choose from which I thought was great. As apps we split the pazzi salad and both got the bread, as entrees I chose the tagliatelle pasta with the pesto sauce and my boyfriend got the tagliatelle with the bolognese sauce. The salad was good, and the olive oil they serve the bread with was also really good. Both of our pasta dishes were great, I tried the bolognese and it was outrageous. The pasta is cooked perfectly and tastes so fresh; it makes the dish. The portions are nicely sized and the food is excellent. From reading reviews on Unilocal I expected the food to be decent, but I was really impressed with it. I will definitely return when I am in the area.

Love this place! Fresh delicious pasta, quick and easy, and kid friendly! One of the few restaurants I’m willing to come to with my little kids(aged 3 and 1) thanks to their play area corner. We’ve had just about every pasta and sauce combo and you can’t go wrong with any of it. Oh and bread with pesto is some of the best I’ve ever had(I know it’s weird to say that about bread).

I visited this place last week after hearing about the numerous options. I had the spinach pasta with chicken and arrabiata sauce and it was pretty tasty. The service was great and I will definitely return.

I got the meatballs during a Fooda office visit. They were. .. meatballs. They took an unusually long time to come out(isn’t Fooda just fancy catering?). They were really small for what I was expecting, even though I wasn’t expecting much since it’s a side dish, and relatively tasteless. My coworker got the pasta with roasted vegetable, but as it turns out, the roasted vegetable was just squash. She didn’t eat much of it. She then joked about how she should’ve gotten food from the vending machine. I was wondering if this was a fluke, so I started looking at Unilocal reviews. I’m totally stunned! The owner, it seems, has a poor attitude regarding customers. I don’t know these people, but when two reviewers walked in and never got their order and walked out without paying for their wine, he wrote, «Ultimately I’m glad to put a name to the face of this encounter — we are required by law to report theft of the wine you stole from us to the NY State Liquor Authority.» WHOATHERE, sir. I know it’s nice you’re sticking up for your wife. I applaud you. But, come on. You work in customer service. You don’t insult the customer. And if you mess up, you comp him/her. I’ve worked at tons of restaurants, both corporate and behind-the-counter, and I have never seen such an entitled and rude post than on a Unilocal page. I’m out. Sorry, Pazzi Pasta. I can’t support an establishment with such a bad taste, literally and metaphorically.

I really enjoy this place. The food is not amazing(I usually order the arrabbiata sauce with chicken, and the chicken leaves a little to be desired), but it’s tasty and filling, and the service is always great and friendly.

While exploring a friend’s new neighborhood, we came across this place and stopped in. 5 of us decided to share a couple of bowls to see what the fuss is about. As the granddaughter of Brooklyn Sicilians all I can say: pretentious. There’s nothing Italian about this place. You get on a line, order on little cards, and it’s like a pasta factory. Maybe I’m too old for this but if you’re paying $ 15.00 or so for a bowl of pasta, you kind of want a more authentic European dinner experience and not have to feel like you’re sitting in a kiddie cafeteria. I guess I’m too old for this. I don’t mean I’m looking for an old-school red sauce place, I’m just looking for that neighborhood feel. This felt more like a gimmick at a mall food court. If you think that these different pasta choices are all that unusual, you didn’t grow up near a neighborhood salumeria. We ordered the Nero de Seppia, the black cuttlefish ink pasta with Puttanesca sauce. First huge problem — there was absolutely, positively no bite to the puttanesca. None. It was a nice little sauce but absolutely not puttanesca. Our other dish was Einkorn with pesto and mushrooms. It was good but not spectacular. It took a very long time to get served, which was surprising. It wasn’t that busy although a few people(mostly with kids) came in after us. Most were getting take-out. It was beyond freezing and when I mentioned it to the young lady who was working the register, she said it was because we were near the window and that it was very warm in the back. There wasn’t enough seating for 5 anywhere else and when I went back to the bathroom, that was even colder. Summation: Food: OK, puttanesca needs work. Atmosphere: not my cup of tea Service: a tad inexperienced

I’ve been meaning to try Pazzi Pasta for some time now, and today, I ordered delivery via DoorDash. The food arrive within 1 hour, and exceeded my expectations(considering it was delivery, I expected to reheat my pasta, but it arrive piping hot, which was nice). I ordered their small spinach pasta with salmon & gorgonzola and added mushrooms. My pasta was perfectly cooked, the sauce was delicious, and the portion was huuuuge! I will definitely be ordering from Pazzi Pasta again.

I pass by this place all the time on Smith Street, so it was a bit ironic that I only tried them when they came to my office as a popup(via Fooda). It wasn’t as customizable as it is in store(from what I’ve heard), but I won’t fault them for that. I ended up with the nero pasta with their meat sauce and meatballs. The meat sauce wasn’t great. Very watery and too tart. Probably should’ve been reduced a lot more with maybe tomato paste to cut the sourness. The meatballs were fine, but hard to discern what it constituted. Portions were smaller than what you get in shop, and a dollar or so more expensive, so that’s a big meh.

A lot of great things about this place! But, the red sauces are terrible and the espresso is not drinkable! Priced very well! The actual noodle is great! We had the white gluten free, the pasta was amazing. The sauce ruined it. I had to add a lot of cheese and red pepper flakes to over power the sauce. My friend ordered the regular pasta and he said same thing. The noodles are good but the sauces are horrible. The flower less chocolate cake with almonds is really good. The staff is great! The concept, décor and location is perfect! Our bill was really cheap considering we had wine and dessert plus 25% off with Unilocal. If they improve on their sauces I would go back and I would give them 5 stars! Red sauce and espresso is a very big deal in Italian Cuisine! The Italian government controls coffee quality in Italy because it is part of the culture — GG

Came to Unilocal in hopes of finding a great Italian place that was: a) not in Little Italy and b) doesn’t have pizza. This place showed up and according to the reviews, is worth my time. Sadly, my experience says otherwise. I came here and sat inside, awaiting my boyfriend’s arrival. We filled out the little plastic menu thing, gave it to the woman and sat back down. Moments after we were seated, she came up to me telling me that my choice of grain was out of stock for the night. I asked her to help me choose between spinach shells and spirals. She said spirals so I said okay I’ll go with that. I also chose two sauces(one had salmon pieces in it) and added mushrooms. I was so horrified when she arrived later on with our food. First of all, she somehow forgot that SHECHOSEMYGRAINFORME and still gave me the wrong one. The pasta was also very undercooked. Not even al dente, just undercooked. The sauce had salmon CRUMBS in it, and about 4 half slithers of mushroom in it. Bland and overall very disappointing. My guy’s pasta was also disappointing. He’s not a picky person and will usually eat anything and I can tell he wasn’t too into it. I don’t know, man. These reviews make this place sound great and I wish I felt that way. It was pretty late, around maybe 9−10pm? I understand being a little off of your game after a long day but this was just bad. I’m honestly scared to go back and spend $ 15 on what tasted like pasta I found in a garbage can on the side of a street. I hate to say things like that but I was really shocked by my experience here. I can only hope that if I do come back, it’ll be very different. Edit: Upon reading other reviews, some of my complaints have excited since the opening of this place. Clearly something or someone is the reason that this establishment is so inconsistent.

I love this place. It is our first time here with my husband and baby and the food was so good we forgot to take pictures. The variety and freshness of their pasta is incredible and I’m sure would please everybody. Same goes for their sauces. My advice would be to pick many kinds of SMALL pasta bowls so you can try as many as possible. Their fresh homemade bread and pesto sauce are a must as well.

We really wanted to like this place. We ordered semolina pasta and pomodoro sauce with pan fried vegetables on the side. The pasta was bland. The vegetable were mushy. 1 star for the pasta. An additional star for the many vegan options.

Dearest Pazzi Pasta, How thankful I am to have found you! To think that only last month I had not known you existed, yet today I feel so happy that we have met under the most dire of ravenous circumstances. How serendipitous it is to have been strolling about with the boo and our new pup, Cleo, and happened across you on a beautiful and warm sunny day; having a puppy with us, we were immediately drawn in by the outdoor seating you offered us! Seeing your vast selection of items, we were taken aback by how many choices we had! Quinoa pasta, farro, wheat gluten, lentil, etc etc etc as far as the eye can see choices were practically limitless! We loved your display and the custom ordering process so we could breeze through the line and get back to our beloved Cleo! Your quinoa pasta, eggplant, veggies and red sauce were to die for, and all three of us vegans present were happy to know it was indeed vegan, with a staff knowledgeable in the concept — that was truly priceless! Your beer bottle selection wasn’t bad, either and I loved the Racer 5IPA(a little fizzy taste of home!) See you again soon. Sincerely, Vanilla Gorilla, Thrilla from Manilla and Cleo(AKA«Puppy Power») *Pardon the tears; the wet-works begin once I start writing love letters.

My only regret is that I ordered a Small pasta. This little restaurant is cute, open, and inviting. The space has cute décor and outdoor seating in nice weather. The bright green and blue planters clustered around the bistro-style tables caught my eye at first, so I decided to wander in. They are a great deal for lunch and provide a tasty and filling meal that YOU create(try the smoked salmon and Gorgonzola sauce on semolina pasta!). You choose a freshly made pasta, a sauce, and a topping. They have Bellinis, wine, craft beer, and soda, as well as dessert. Its pretty affordable, also; a small pasta starts at $ 9. I’ll definitely stop by here whenever I’m in the area!

Freshly prepared, organic and health conscious pastas. Homemade sauces with integrity and toppings that melt in your mouth. You’d have to be the Italian food anti-Christ to not adore Pazzi Pasta. The warm, humble and friendly atmosphere can be felt right down to the last bite. YOU choose your combination which allows you to experience so many flavors that you may not have expected to be delicious. Great beer & wine selection. Keep in mind; this is a fast casual establishment. Don’t expect a courses dinner but rather a chill, relaxed spot to grab a delicious bite to eat without the fancy commitment. Love you Pazzi! You’ve got a «regular» in me.
