Damn, that was a might fine Cortado! When I see the name Oslo, I think of a coffee house in Switzerland, a place where James Bond would glide up on skis and say, Cappuchino please, not too much foam. In all reality, 10 years ago a couple opened their first café in Brooklyn and rode in the coffee wave. Rock on Oslo coffee! This is my first experience at Oslo and from what I see, they’re using some expensive espresso machines. For my first coffee, I ordered a Cortado and my son ordered a single drip. I do have to say, the name Oslo had my attention, I was expecting a roasted coffee bean from Europe. Roasted right here in Brooklyn and what we both had rocked the house. I don’t get up to Yorkville but Brooklyn? I look forward to returning and trying your other coffees.

Really good coffee and friendly baristas, but they automatically lose a star for not having wifi. we’re in New York — pretty much every other café has free wifi — get with the times.

Mal H is a cry baby. A lot of coffee spots do not have wireless internet… like this one. Stop sounding like you are entitled to it. The coffee is good. Cozy atmosphere and I like the croissants toasted only. Taste weird with they are at room temperature. Try to get here early or around 1pm or else it will be too busy

Coffee here is amazing. I ordered the latte and it was a perfect concoction of milk and espresso in my mouth.

What kind of coffee spot doesn’t have wireless? The croissant was stale, coffee wasn’t great. Neither was the tea. Cashier insisted my croissant was a «muffin» because apparently that’s how it rings up on his register. Too bad this place gives Scandinavians, especially Oslo, a bad rep. Never going here again. How it stays in business is proof of how tasteless people are.

Very cool atmosphere, decent coffee. I didn’t find the staff particularly friendly. All-around average experience.

One of the best cappuccino I’ve ever had! Their cookies and croissant were ok(it is the reason I’m not giving it 5 stars). It is a small place on a quiet part of busy Bedford avenue. We loved it so much we went 2 mornings out of 4 during our stay in New York! Huuum! Soooo good!

Customer service = Very nice and chill. Thank you. :) Iced coffee/cold brew = very caffeinated. Haha. No food, except they have homemade poptarts from a nearby bakery, which are very good! Not much seating. Weirdly, there is a prop typewriter on one of the tables. Hmm.

The coffee is great — smooth flavor and good roast. Usually have the ice coffee and have tried refresher lemonade which is really good too!

Good coffee, great tables to sit and read — holds its own in a neighborhood of fantastic coffee.

Not bad but not great. Very cheap compared to other coffee shops in the area/nyc in general. The spot is pretty chilled out, despite a lot of foot traffic on a saturday morning. Baristas are pretty quick. lots of people just chilling out inside and outside.

Great latte – flavorful, delicious, not too acidic. Great donuts. Nice barista. Close to the train. Worth a trip.

Updating this review because I now live in the coffee shop desert of the UWS and if Oslo Coffee was here I’d go at least three times a week and would not complain about anything. Williamsburg spoils you with coffee shops.

This café SHOULD be getting 3 stars for their coffee but they are getting 4 because their baristas are a couple of BADASSES!!! I purchased a cup of iced coffee on a Wednesday morning before going to work with an almond croissant. Not the best cup of iced coffee and was rather expensive for a small.($ 2.75 but still cheaper than most of the other local shops) The reason why the baristas here are bad ass chicks is because I left my pastry down for a second so that I could put a sugar in my iced coffee. The second I left my pastry down another customer tried to take it. Both baristas flipped out on her! «That’s hers! Not yours. You didn’t order a pastry!» I felt embarrassed for the customer who tried to steal my croissant as there was a huge line behind us with over lookers galore, but it’s so nice to see workers who care about their customers! Thank you Oslo for not leaving me hungry!

In light of Starbucks moving into Williamsburg, it’s time to call out some noteworthy local joints. Oslo has good, strong coffee(not for the faint of heart). Now that I’ve gotten into grinding(my own beans, that is), I love their selections and oscillate between Blue Bottle and Oslo. +1 star for offering a free drink with a purchase of their beans. It’s the only coffee establishment I know of that offers that deal, but someone please inform me if there are more! I’m all about free things. I never linger, though. It’s not a very cozy place by any means. Seating is limited and there’s no Wi-Fi, so it’s best if you just get it to-go.

This café was one of places I have seen many people were carrying their cups around the bedford area. That is why I have wanted to try their coffee for a while, and finally I got to visit them yesterday. Their coffee is not so strong, slightly sour(but not as sour as of Modka’s). It is not bad, but clearly not the best around. There is a positive point that their space is with blight and airily with a high ceiling. I feel however their staffs are different from barista I see in other Brooklyn cafés, they are more like of café benne or Starbucks or similar Chain coffee shops in Manhattan. I would not probably come back to this café for a cup of coffee because I know there are other coffee shops around and bear by that serves good strong coffee with quality which I love and are the reason I chose local coffee places but chain cafés.

Adorable décor with quality espresso. I really like the open big rectangular tables out near the entrance and the interesting type writer on it. Give me sort of the opposite of writer’s block. I wish I lived closer to it, so I would be encouraged and inspired to create things there =). The latte I got was the correct jolt of energy that I needed! Love the t-shirt hanging on the wall that says Oslo in Katakana!

So I came here on a Paypal run($ 5).;. but their system wasn’t working — they couldn’t see who was checked in. So we stood there in awkward silence, because none of us knew what to do. The barista offered us the drink for free, but since BF felt bad, we paid the $ 4.25 for an iced chai latte. This is how it was made: 1. Take cup 2. Pour milk 3. Pour concentrated chai mix from a gallon jug It didn’t look good or taste good. Go spend your money somewhere else.

The 3 stars is for the coffee because the iced latte and iced coffee are very tasty and good and fresh. The bathroom is kind of yucky, however and the kids behind the counter aren’t very friendly. Location is okay. And prices aren’t bad for funky coffee shop. Will be back if I’m in the area.
