1st off this place smells incredible. As for the selection they are well stocked and even have vitamins. The pricing is what it is after all it is an organic shop.

The service was terrible. On my last visit, I was over-charged for an item(that was priced lower than it was) and the store clerk told me that the system showed the right price, they couldn’t offer me a refund or the difference, and if I didn’t want the item, I could pick from the other over-priced items to make up the value. I later found the same item at Whole Foods for $ 4 less!

I was super excited when Organic Planet opened in my neighborhood, as the only store was Brooklyn Natural who doesn’t carry any organic produce but charges organic prices. Mind you after a quick stint of carrying only very few organic fresh items such as lemons and oranges it all went away. Organic Planet does not sell one piece of fresh produce thats organic! But prices are as high as next door. No problem to find a $ 8 snack with and ounce of dehydrated onions etc. Im very disappointed. The juices are nice but again all from conventional produce, their name«Planet Organic“is completely misleading. When I try to ask the people in the store why nothing is organic anymore I’m met with a smile or blank stare as none of the store employees are capable of the english language, which is another thing I find disgraceful and disrespectful towards the stores customers. Is it asked for too much to have a knowledgeable person who speaks english and can give me information about the stores product. When i ask for a certain product chances are that I have to look around the store myself to hopefully find what I’m looking for. On top of all that, many times their frozen products have freezer burn. I’ve pointed it out to the store clerks several times and felt they either didn’t understand what I was saying or didn’t want to hear it. Its a real bummer as the area cold definitely use a good health food store.

I feel conflicted. I am dependent on this place for my shampoo and conditioner, and many times, coffee beans. But the people that work here are not helpful at all and are always juicing spinach whenever I try to talk to them.

The first few times I walked past this place, all I could think was: ‘Really? Do we really need yet another faux health bodega sandwiched between L Mo’s and Brooklyn Natural?’ Being inquisitive by nature, I gave it a try… When it comes to a truly knowledgeable selection of health food, this place maintains above high above average. While tiny, it has a lot more to offer in a curatorial sense than either nearby competitor. And finally while I am reluctant to give away the biggest and best secrets of this place… I will, because I don’t want to see it go out of business. For one, their GT’s Kombucha price is $ 2.99… Comparatively BK natural is $ 5+ and $ 4 at L Mo’s… And finally… They have no credit card minimum. Will their no-scam honesty is the best policy pay off? Hope so… All I can say is I’m happy to have the real deal health food store just around the corner! And at that a place that isn’t just trying to make a fast buck.

Situated between my hostel and the Morgan Ave L stop, this was basically my first and last stop of my day. The prices are fair… the goods are organic so they are organic prices. Decent juice selection and their juice bar is quite legit! The checkout counter is dangerous: lots of chocolate, cookies etc that quickly became necessities. I always walked out with a treat & bottle of juice for around $ 5. The guy behind the counter is super nice and patient which is always a plus. #1 of 100
