A awesome man in an awesome shop. Amazon has nothing on this shop a must visit for anyone who is practicing any practice or religion. I am truly happy that this shop exist. More than fare prices and a welcoming establishment worth all 5 stars.

I found Om Gift Shop by Googling«Buddhist gifts Brooklyn». Wow! They have beautiful and well-made yet affordable things, especially when compared with NYC’s Chinatown where the gift shops exist to gouge tourists. Om’s prices for the things I was looking for, Tibetan Buddhist meditation items such as statues, malas and singing bowls, are more like online prices than gift-shop prices, and you save the shipping. So if you were considering ordering online, go see Om first. There’s a wide range of sizes, materials, workmanship, and intricacy of design. Feel the weight of a statue, see how tall it is. Hold a mala and feel if the bead size and texture is pleasing. Strike a singing bowl and listen to its tone. They actually sell singing bowl cushions separately from the bowls, which is hard to find. The owner is very attentive and helpful. I felt a little too watched, but then I realized that he was observing to see what sparked my interest so he could let me know if there’s more in stock than what was on display. Especially for clothing, there’s only space out front for one of each style, but there’s a big inventory of sizes in the back. The owner is happy to go find your size.

A quiet oasis of serenity in the middle of 5th Avenue, not only for the new age-y. Traditional Indian meditation instrumentals and subtle incense transfix and transcend as soon as you walk in. It is a gift shop indeed with scented zodiac candles, jewelry, and skull ash trays for gifting. This place is also for the hard core occultists as they carry tarot cards and real crystal for those who know what to do with them. It’s definitely worth the trip inside.
