Ettore (Eddie) and his wife own and operate Metal Detector Distributors in Brooklyn on Flatlands Ave. They are the LAST dedicated Metal detector store in the 5 boroughs. I purchased a unit there a few weeks ago and Eddie was more than willing to chat with me about the hobby and the Metal Detector I was purchasing. He also helped me with information about when and where to hunt and NYC permit information. The staff are nice, professional and extremely well informed.
If you live in the 5 Boroughs and are interested in the metal detecting hobby this is the place to go. DO NOT BUY A METAL DETECTOR ONLINE! (unless it’s from his website) It is a purpose built machine and having someone to walk you through and answer questions live on the spot is important. Eddie has over 40 years of experience metal detecting himself and you can tell he truly cares for his business, equipment and customers.
