This place isn’t bad contrary to all the other reviews lol. I went there straight after work after reading the reviews on here and said I’ll give it a try since everywhere else I had to make an appointment or was a little too pricey. I got there at like 5:45 asked the lady she would be able to do my hair now and she said yes. They were very friendly actually. I told her this was my first time there and that I wanted box braid not to small but medium. She showed me different sizes on the wall and she helped me choose a good size and length. I asked how much she said 140 I said ok not bad. She then asked for 20 $ which would be deducted from the 140 to buy the hair. I gave it to her when she came back with the hair she said ok that I was only going to pay 120 when I was done. I told her no problem. Once I sat down they got started immediately.(3 people actually lol) once we were done it was like 7:30. The back feels good but the front is super tight sooo overall it hurts but I like the outcome. I gave her the 120. She was polite and thanked me. I asked her could she style it but when she started to i couldn’t take it because it was too tight. She dipped the ends in hot water and then did a half ponytail with a swoup in the front lol. Word of advice bring headphones when you go because their conversations(the Braiders) are super loud lol. Also even when you tell them try not to make it tight they say ok but it’s like they don’t hear you. It wasn’t bad I would come again. I say it’s in the way you talk to them and your attitude. Treat others the way you would want to be treated.

Hey Guys! So this is an update to the original review. It’s been three days since I got my hair braided and I really believe this is the tightest it’s ever been. I cannot sleep and I’ve researched new methods on ways to ease the tension while soothing my scalp. Not to mention, I was overcharged $ 20(they make you buy the hair now) for a style that used to cost $ 140. Going forward, personally, I will take better care of my scalp and hair so this is the last time for braids however, their styles are nice. As far as professionalism goes, you won’t get that here.

Fast service. I’ve received multiple compliments on my twists and would definitely go back again.

So to start I am using my hubby’s Unilocal account, so the pic next to the account won’t match the look I was starting from. This would have to be the worst salon experience that I have ever had. I walked into the salon with the pic on my phone of exactly what it is that I wanted. After being very clear to what I expected. I am now very angry to what I received. i insisted on the hair quality being important to me, especially for what I was willing to pay. I was enormously surprised by the end result. If I could I would give this business no stars. I would make clear that once you disapprove with there work, expect to be spoken to rudely. The professionalisum goes out the window if you dare have an option about how your own head should look,(it’s not like your paying for it)…Then to make matters worst I called the following day to speak to the owner Mbadinga, and I see from where the spoiled fruit sprouts-the root. This woman went in on me, as soon as I had the nerve to disagree with the way that I was handled and my displeasure with the way I look. I told her that I would be coming to the store today and what did she do… hang up!, yes this is what the customer service looks like now. So of course I will not be going back there to have any of those nasty attitude women over my head, some lessons you learn the hard way, and they may in fact cost you something-Time, money, scalp blisters, but not a bondsman… because that’s just where this review would end if I ever go that route and find myself infront this establishment.

The place was PACKED at 1 on a Saturday afternoon. I thought for sure I had to wait. Alas I did not. I was in that chair for about 4 – 4.5 hours. Got Senegalese twists. Done by 1 woman. Usually it takes 5 – 6 hours with two women braiding but not at this shop. They are as quick as can be and they do a very good job. One thing to note: ask around for pricing. This heffa charged me $ 140 while others around me were getting the same braids for $ 120. They don’t even reach my butt. Also my friend went to this same establishment and got braids longer and bigger than mine and what did she pay? That’s right $ 120. So my braider didn’t get a tip because I was onto her. She did however, do a great job. Ask around the shop. Shoot. Call before you go. Make sure they don’t overcharge you. Should be $ 120 with the hair(yup. even the the softer kind). Enjoy.

I gave this hair salon this rating because it’s the only salon I’ve been to where its DRAMAFREE! Everyone who works there greets you as you come and go you actually feel welcomed and not like they just want your money. I only come here for Latoya she’s been my stylist for four years and I will only go to her. The atmosphere is nice. The staff is west Indian and African so expect a family like setting. Music, movies and they are honest. The stylist will tell you what works for your hair, recommend products and tell you how long before you should return depending on what you got done. Each stylist is an expert at there own thing. If you happen to be in the area stop by and speak with them, you will be glad you did
