These guys were super cool and worked quickly. They hooked us up with the miscellaneous stuffed we didn’t get to pack up and took it. The move was from Astoria to Brighton Beach BK. They didn’t waste any time and got from point A to point B real quickly. I highly recommend the company. I went through unpakt.

I booked Maxi via Unpakt to move from Sunset Park to Bay Ridge. They were very professional and extremely quick while being careful not to damage our stuff. They had to take apart and re-​assemble a platform bed which they did very well. Nothing was scratched or damaged. They had us out of our old place and into our new one before noon! I would recommend them to anyone! And to top it all off, they were the best price!

These movers were the most polite movers I’ve ever had! On time, quick, efficient and treated my things with care. All the furniture was wrapped. They’re professional movers, complementary full moving insurance, kind service, no hidden fees.

12÷21÷15− i had a HUGE GLASS tv console, a queen size bed and a big vanity with a mirror. I called some random place on craigslist that was 1.5 hour late. When they arrived one of the guys took a look at the console and said he got back problems and they didnt have the proper equipment.
So i refused to put off this task and luckily got in contact with these guys. They accomodated me last minute and was there 1 hour later.
The movers were superb, professional and worked fast yet cautiously. The guy charged for 3 hours but while i was signing the receipts the other guy was still unloading small stuff. Wow :)
Tips– $ 15 for mattress cover, $ 50 deposit required
These guys are the real deal!

We just had Sardor come to move some furniture from a relative’s apartment to ours. He was nice and respectful. He and his partner took great care wrapping our pieces (including a white couch) and moving them through the rain. Will would definitely recommend him to friends.

I used Maxi Moving via Unpakt. I thought their movers were professional enough with our stuff, so no complaints there. I would warn though that their low prices can quickly balloon with additional charges: for example, charging for commercial bins used to move already-​itemized goods (I did follow up with the manager who was mostly responsive) and for moving items from the truck parked half a block away (charged several hundred dollars in addition for this alone). So if you are comparing a flat rate fee moving company with a quote from Maxi, make sure you factor in potential additional charges. We would have been better off moving with a flat rate fee company in the end.

I used Maxi Moving via Unpakt last week to move from the Upper West Side to downtown. We also including packing services in the move.
Ivan was very helpful setting up the move (in terms of timing, COI etc…) and communication throughout.
The move did take several hours longer than expected (as we needed more boxes than estimated), but overall the move was smooth. I have yet to receive an additional bill for the extra boxes, but will update this review if it’s unreasonable/​unexpected.
The movers themselves (led by Alex) were excellent and extremely attentive to wrapping and caring for our furniture, etc…
Would definitely recommend!

At this point, I do not recommend this moving company.
I hired them via
for a move in May including packing/​unpacking. I found the packing to be very hurried and inefficient, resulting in many more boxes to move and more paper waste. Also, it took so long that they didn’t want to unpack most of my boxes towards the evening. They did unpack some boxes but mostly I unpacked them as they opened the boxes for me — which they then broke down and disposed of.
But not everyone uses these services (packing/​unpacking). The most important feedback is that I had an Italian credenza (china cabinet) damaged in the move. (Will attach photos). It was done by a peg on my disassembled Ikea wardrobe which wasn’t wrapped. Apparently this credenza was also not properly wrapped.
The kicker is that they’re trying to charge me an additional $ 570 on a move that cost over $ 700 and I gave a tip of $ 240. I’m still waiting to hear back from Unpack about these charges and from Maxi about the damages. In fairness, I will update my post when some of these issued are (hopefully) resolved.
No company is going to be perfect, but the confluence of these circumstances leads me to NOT recommend Maxi Moving at this time.

I used Maxi Moving for a brownstone to building move recently. Ivan, who I worked with to arrange the move, had great customer service — prompt and responsive. The price cannot be beat, and you really do get high-​value service for what you pay.
On the day of the move, the moving crew got me moved out of my place and into my new spot with speed and care, coming in at less than the time estimate I originally thought it would take (which means it made it even more affordable for me, so I made sure to tip them nicely). All my furniture was wrapped as well. I will definitely use this company again.

I arranged a very late move (starting at 9 PM) and they quoted me a rate of $ 110/​hr for three men with a flat fee for travel (some other moving companies will actually charge you the hourly rate to your place and back from their base).
This was a great deal, and my movers (Dayan’s team) were consummate professionals throughout the move. They managed to lug furniture and heavy boxes up four flights of stairs without a problem, and the only things they asked of me was what else they could help me with.
Additionally, they were invested in getting me moved in as fast as possible, saving me even more money than the already reasonable quote.
The movers at Maxi are great guys, and I will definitely encourage you to tip them well for all the hard work they do.

We just used Maxi Movers yesterday for our move within Astoria and couldn’t have been more pleased! We were quoted for 3 guys at a ridiculously reasonable rate and they didn’t charge extra to provide a COI (required by our old building). The guys showed up spot on time and were incredibly efficient. We had everything already boxed up and clearly labeled so it was a breeze getting everything into the new apartment and organized. They even put back together our bed and helped with the sofa.
From past experience I knew to have everything already packed and boxed before they arrived (the space saver vacuum bags increase your move time three-​fold because they’re difficult to stack and carry). They took a few smoke breaks but they always asked first, which I thought was very considerate of them.
Even with the heat and a 2^nd floor walk up at the new apartment we were moved in under 5 hours. I gave them a bunch of gatorade and water for their trouble and even offered to buy them lunch, which they turned down.
Honestly, they were three of the nicest guys I’ve ever met and were incredibly efficient. I was worried that because they were paid hourly they would dawdle but it certainly wasn’t the case. All told, even after the tip, they came in at under half of what I had been quoted at three other places (Schleppers, Rob the Mover, and FlatRate).
Best kept secret in New York! I would highly recommend them to anyone. Obviously, you have to do a lot of sweat equity before they arrive (pack everything well and in boxes) but they’ll take care of the rest (moving blankets for furniture, etc.).

. They were by far the lowest bid. I was a bit hesitant at first since I didn’t know anything about the company but after looking at all the positive reviews on Unilocal,I decided to go with them. Best decision I could have made! The management company that ran the co-​op that I was moving from had a lot of rules and documentation required. Maxi Moving helped make the process smooth and were always on top of emails.
I moved from the 7^th floor of an elevator co-​op building to a 2^nd floor walk Up. The move was seamless and hassle free.
Maxi Moving was:

2. had a very professional crew
3. fast and reliable
4. moved everything with care and nothing was damaged
5. grateful for the business and it showed

I had an excellent move with Alex and his team on March 29. They were on time and very fast and efficient! In total, the move for my studio apartment took about 2.5 hours.
These guys were super friendly and re-​assembled my bed better than it was assembled by the bed delivery guys initially! Even my all white ikea furniture made it without a blemish!
I would use them again and recommend to others. It’s the best money you will ever spend. They were also the most reasonably priced out of all the companies I researched. You won’t regret your decision.

Moving can be a very stressful time. These guys made everything easy and made me and my girlfriend feel at ease.
Not only are these guys professional, they are very friendly and made sure they explained everything to us before, during and after the move.
They arrived on time, moved out everything in less then 2 hours, and we had A LOT of stuff mind you! The whole entire move was very fair in price and took less than 4 hours.
In total I think it took 3 and a half hours moving from Flatbush to BedStuy. This including everything from unloading to offloading.
These guys are LEGIT. I would TOTALLY recommend!

I booked my move date through Unpakt, and used Maxi Moving. I was expecting just an average experience with movers, but Maxi Moving surpassed that. The movers were extremely nice and friendly. They were very efficient, and were done before I knew it. They dis-​assembled and re-​assembled all of the items, and did everything they could to make my life easier. I would 100% use them again.
