First off, this is the last time that I will be going to Maribel to get my hair done. I live right across the street from there so it would make sense why I would choose to go there to spite encountering numerous horrible customer service. I thought it would get better but it did not and today I really just can’t. Not all I’m sure, but the stylist are so unprofessional. They are rough when they do your hair, I remember one time I had to put this lady In her place for stopping in the middle of drying my hair to go talk on her phone. Rude! Then today I decided do my hair and the stylist propped me under the dryer for 1 hour and 15mins only to direct me to another stylist who already had customers waiting before me. I was so upset I couldn’t believe it. Later I realize she was leaving but it would have helped to check on me, or not leave me under the dryer for so long so she could leave. That was really unethical. How could you just leave your customer like that. After I told someone what happened and asked was anyone available to finish my hair, they directed me to another hair stylist. This is truly the last time I go there to get my hair done, the nasty stares, roughness and pulling of the hair, doing other things while having a client Is beyond too much to endure. Nobody should have to leave a beauty salon upset after each visit. I’ll be taking my business elsewhere. Sorry I tried.

I used to go to this place in high school. I liked the way my hair came out but i rarely left happy. My head would either be pulled too much or the blow dryer would burn me. One girl even told me «this is what you wanted.» so i just grinned and bared it. glad i went natural and saved money and pain.

I give this place 3 stars. My experience wasn’t terrible but it wasn’t the greatest. The people were friendly but they charge for everything. Most places flat iron your hair after a blowout but this place charges extra, which was new to me & they charge extra for me to sit under the dryer with conditioner. Then the lady who was doing my hair didnt really know how to blow dry so my hair looks okay not great. In total, it cost $ 35.00. I dont know if i would return again

Very big salon looks nice but bad customer service, a friend and myself stopped in & we didn’t like it at all ! Horrible service very rude hair stylist defiantly not worth a trip. I don’t like to see a bunch of stylist getting their own hair done and not doing any work. They said $ 10 wash & set Monday — wends day but I end up paying $ 25 and my friend payed $ 17 I will not be going back at all !

Now ive always wanted to try this place because it was«all the rave» with the girls back in high school. Given that it was only a few years ago i figured it would still be good as it was proclaimed to be. Unfortunately, as my mom always said, high school kids think they know it all but no absolutely nothing. What a disappointment. I know i usually cringe as at getting a blow out, but i bare it because i know the end result will be great. My hair looks so mediocre right now. I could have let my sister do it for free and she is 6! On top of that, my hair smells burnt. Never will i ever come back here. Dont even get me started on the roach that was playing peek a boo in the 3rd draw

The prices are awesome. That’s about the only great the thing about this place. It takes forever to actually get your hair washed. Then they leave you under the dryer for longer than necessary. The workers always seem totally distracted by phones and chatting away with their co-workers. One lady even burned my forehead and I still have the mark on my head, no matter how much salve I put on it, it never seems to go away.(One reason why I started wearing bangs.) Oh and there seems to be a roach colony that likes to party with the hair on the floor that never seems to be swept up. Yuk

I went here to do a color. The person 1st wet my hair, then put the color and put me under the dryer. She then left me for approximately 40mins to sit, without washing the color out of my hair! She was very busy and when made contact with her, someone began to complain that she needed to be seen by only her… After leaving the salon that day. I waited 3 months to Texturize my hair and ALLMYHAIRFELLOUT :(. I cried like a baby. Be very careful, they chose that person for me, and it seems like she may have known what she was doing. But she was very busy. They seem to have a constant lay over of people. I would advise you to stick with the ones that have worked there the longest. It’s been almost 1yr since this incident, and I feel like my hair has been short forever from cutting away the color. I’ve been putting more treatment and found a different place to go… so, it’s at shoulder length; but I still have some color that needs to cut out. Best of luck!

I’ve been to plenty of hair salons in the neighborhood and this is the only one that leaves my face and inside my ears soaked with water after washing my hair. I have lots of piercings in my ears and usually after a few times of accidentally tugging in it, stylists watch out for them, but not here, the entire washing process I had to remind the lady of my earrings and untangle the hair myself. After washing my hair, they left me sitting there close to 45 minutes, and nobody came up to me rinse out the conditioner(that was only supposed to be in my hair for 5 minutes). They took care of people that came in after me first. I understand that you have to wait sometimes, but 45 mins was just too long. I got up to leave, and told the lady at the front about it. She was very apologetic and insisted that I stay, I wanted to leave but they called somebody from the back that immediately took care of me. Besides a few semi-dirty looks from the girl that was supposed to do my hair(and left me sitting there), the stylist that ended up doing my hair was very nice, quick and effective. She, and the lady at the front apologized a few more times and when I saw the final result(I have very curly hair(4c curls) that is hard to tame, and walked out of there with perfectly straight hair) I left a happy costumer. So points off for their lack of organization, but they got me back due to their customer service in the end.

What I love about Maribels is my stylist Wendy. She knows how to take care of my hair and not just do a wrap and set, but my touch up, coloring and cut. In the three years I’ve been going she hasnt disappointed me yet.
