Came here Wednesday night, it was quiet and we were seated right away. Service was prompt, food was fresh and atmosphere was great. Had the dumpling sampler and the chicken drunken noodle, fresh and yummy.

I really really want to love this place because it’s one of the like 2 Thai places that deliver to me and it’s actually tasty but why does it take 2 hours for them to deliver my food? Especially with a $ 20 minimum on grubhub orders. Anyway I ordered Chicken Red Curry and Pad Seiw(?) and they were both delicious just wish I didn’t have to wait hours for it.

solid food at reasonable prices. it’s your standard Thai fare. the Thai iced tea is pretty good, though nothing to write home about. I’d skip the desserts unless you like things very sweet and sticky, but you can get a solid meal.

Tofu Pad see ew — oily but still very good. Their noodles were wide and the portion was spot on for what you pay. The balance of each ingredients was equally used, which is rare since majority of the time they give a lot of the cheap vegetable. Banana dessert — crispy! Not all places know how to make a good tempura; I’ve been to a sushi buffet and that served soggy deep fried Oreos. Luckily, this thai restaurant served a crispy and sweet dessert. This dish came with a scope of ice cream and drizzled with honey. Curry pilaf — carby but good! I had to try this. I usually try to only stick with one carb per meal but I wanted to try both. I’m all ways debating between a curry dish or a noodle dish. It’s a tough choice. I’ve never seen this on a menu so I had to order it and it was worth every calorie. The curry taste wasn’t faint and it was mixed with julienne cut vegetables. This reminded me of the Mediterranean side dish with grain and vegetables(I forgot the name of it) Longan Thai iced tea — it’s too sweet for me so I diluted it. It’s premade in a bulk and they don’t use milk! Finally, a vegan thai iced tea! After diluting it, it was very good. Thai ice tea is a must get. Drinks from the bar: I was very fortunate to go on a day that the bartender was fabulous but she doesn’t work there anymore. Molted chocolate cake with a scope of ice cream: I didn’t try it but my friends loved it. I saw the melted chocolate oozing out when she cut it in half. I’m surprised they served this at a thai restaurant. Overall, I was satisfied with my meal and I recommend here if you’re around the neighborhood.

Good things: Made an order online. Brought food quickly. Bad things: Spring roll — was deep fried, I hate deep fried. Thai rolls must be NOT fried at all. I didn’t feel any taste in these rolls. It was regular Chinese egg-rolls but smaller. Lemongrass Tom Yum Very hot and very sour. Broth only and couple pieces of vegetables, half piece one mushroom. Pineapple Pilaf It’s 2 pineapple pieces inside, 2 shrimps, 2 cashews 2 raisins and rice — $ 18. It’s must be in a big half pineapple instead plastic tray. I ate thai food before, in another country, it’s quite different from this. This restaurant looks like regular Chinese food, which wants to be the Thai food. By the way It’s too expensive. For 1 person I paid $ 37 including delivery and tips upfront.

We ordered food and they said it would be an hour, which is acceptable; however, an hour later they called and said it would be another 2 hours. So we canceled our order and remain hungry.

This review is only based on their Hookah. Came in close to midnight with a friend and we grabbed a mango mixed with peach hookah. It was great quality hookah, and this place is really nice looking. Will be sure to come back here to try the food

Came back with a party of 5. The restaurant was not too crowded on a Saturday night. We ordered two appetizers and an entrée each. I managed to try every one of them. The Drunken noodles was very well made good flavor and not too oily. The Thai fried rice was a very good dish great taste sweet and a bit of a kick. The Massaman curry is a sweet potato curry that goes down the mouth smoothly and great on a cold winter day. Alike the red curry which was sweet and spicy. The smell from the red curry is from the bamboo shoots so please do not be alarmed when ordered. All dishes came in large quantities which kept us all full with some left overs. Best of all all of the dishes ordered came with large pieces of meat. The service; though it was not so busy was somewhat lacking. Our waiter came twice throughout the whole service. Once for orders and again to ask about our entrees. We had to get a hold of the server for refills in our drinks as well as our check. This place is close to my house I will continue to come here for extraodinary food and a great dine in experience. Looking forward to try new dishes with every visit. See you soon!

The reason why I decided 5 stars for this restaurant is because the food that they served me was real, real delicious. Me and my friend ordered«Pathai» and we was impressed from the taste. The theme of our conversation become how tasty is the food. I also had a chance to take a quick look at the kitchen. For me is very important to be sure that the food is prepared clean. So after I visited restaurant Lotus last week I feel that i become addicted and today I visited it again. Since today restaurant Lotus is one of my favorites places in my neighborhood.

I visited this restaurant for lunch with my mom after searching Unilocal for Thai food nearby. As a bonus when I checked in at this location on Unilocal I was able to get a free Thai Iced tea which was the best tasting that Ive had in Brooklyn so far. The décor catches your eye immediately when you enter because it is very unique. The food was also great but I wish that I had followed my mothers food choice. She ordered the sweet n sour steak while I had the basil fried rice with chicken. My food was good but the sweet n sour was absolutely delicious! The steak was cooked perfectly and not tuff. My only issue was with the dessert. We ordered the cheesecake flambé which we were expecting to arrive to out table as described but it didnt. It simply appeared to be deep fried cheesecake which very good but not flambed at all. However, overall the service and the food were great and i would definitly return in the future.

Okay. If I was in the area, I would definitely come here. I would bring my friend, and I would know they are going to be taken good care of. Actually I did that. I had been there earlier in the day waiting for my friends to get to a restaurant nearby. I got a drink there and was thrown back by the ambiance of the place in contrast to the more«Old World» style everywhere else seemed to covet. So since people seemed like they wanted to hang out after the birthday party I suggested the Lotus. No problems at all. Actually the ladies, looked at me as to say, «Good job!». What guy doesn’t want that!?!

I found this restaurant in Unilocal and went out of my way to try the Thai food, & picked this restaurant over another bc they had a Unilocal promo for free Thai ice tea with check in…(Also had the most reviews). This place is quite a beauty. Relaxing vibe. I came here and ordered 2 classic Thai dished… Chicken red curry w/bamboo & basil, along with a lemon grass Tom yum. I was a bit irritated that I couldn’t even redeem my free Thai ice tea bc they were out of it. I’ve never been to a Thai place that ran out of Thai ice tea before a dinner rush… BOOOOOO that was the only reason I ordered TWO dishes, so I could redeem my free Thai tea bc min purchase was $ 20 for the promo… First of all, from the time I took my take out bag to the car, in a matter of 2 minutes… I noticed when I opened the bag, that the a curry dish had leaked and there was curry everywhere. WTF! Also, i paid $ 6 for a Tom yum soup that was the size of a container of hot&sour for lunch special… & both my chicken curry dishes had a small portion of chicken & bamboo. There was just a lot of curry in one of the boxes… Since the other box leaked curry!!! The taste of the soup & curry dishes were good. But not enough to make me happy. Would not come here again! No thank you Brooklyn. P. S. the bathroom is so awkward. It’s just 4 doors on the side & you share the sink in the middle of the room… Which you can also peek into the kitchen area. BTW, who in their right mind installs the toilet paper ABOVE the toilet &BEHIND a persons head ??? AWKWARD positioning. Please see picture

Cute place…
I’ve been there last Saturday with my girlfriends celebrating my Bday. It was my second time and I really like the place. The lovely atmosphere, nice décor, tasty food, and helpful staff make this place one of best… so far in Brooklyn. I’d recommend Pad Thai(better with shrimp), drunken noodle(we’ve tried with beef and it was good! Btw, it’s spicy). Also, try their coconut soup, and salmon is the must! The cocktails are OK, but kinda mild(we’ve ordered Happy Buddha and lychee martini, and we barely got any taste of alcohol in there))) BUT, if you’ll get the Happy Buddha, you can keep the glass. Just ask! Also, the music… mostly Russian but it was OK)

I’ve been to many Thai restaurants and Lotus Thai is on the bottom of the list. First let’s discuss the good. They have a large lounge like restaurant setting which fits small and large parties. They use to have DJs spin there on selected nights which was cool. The have a open bar area with a full stock bar. Now the bad. Service is just ok when at the restaurant. When ordering for delivery the food comes cold. And the number 1 reason why I gave it 2**s is because the food is just not very good as the prices are outrageous for this area of Brooklyn. They like to think they are in the city but with food that taste like cardboard for city prices is just outrageous. Not coming back here anymore. Now
