Happy Retirement, Lisa! I went to 7th Avenue last week looking forward to seeing you and looking through all your beautiful items. Sadly, you were gone, but now I know why.
However, I finally got to wear the beautiful champagne dress you picked out for me, at my goddaughter’s wedding in September. The wedding was black tie, and glorious, and I felt beautiful and got lots of compliments, thanks to you. You created a unique store, and always made your customers feel welcomed and well-​taken care of.
I will miss you, and your beautiful store, very much, but wish you all the best in your next adventures.

Staff was amazing. We visited 4 stores with our 19 month old and this is the only place where the staff took time to measure her foot and to explain which brands run large or small. Laura, the salesperson, was great with our daughter and ran back and forth in the store with her. We found shoes that fit her wonderfully. Expert service like this is rare today. This store is a gem and an example of what we’re losing in the age of Amazon.

I can’t believe this place only has 3 reviews! Not surprised they are all positive. I’ve never seen a better collection of shoes– and there’s tons of them in this hole in the wall that’s stuck around for a long time in a great shopping neighborhood. Polansky has a great eye for high-​quality shoes that are unique, special, badass perfection. Tons of leather. I make a stop every season.

I’ve shopped here on several occasions now, and really have come to love the place. The place looks tiny and cramped, and it is those things, but they have everything I’ve gone in there for — ballet tights, warm socks for my kids to ski, ski boots, dress shoes for my daughter, boots for me. They are so helpful, and the prices are really excellent, especially for the neighborhood. It’s a neighborhood gem!
