I was very apprehensive when I saw the big«B» posted in the window, but we were getting drinks and apps, so I took the risk. Atmosphere: large dining room in the back, bar and communal table with open doors in the front. The host was so warm and helpful considering my husband’s allergies. Food/drink: unique beer, both imported and local, are a draw. We shared the pickled veggie plate– huge mix of vegetables decently pickled with a red pepper feta and pita. The salad was delicious, the play on textured especially nice– toasted chick peas, gooey poached egg, crisp and softer lettuces, and vegetables. The mushroom pierogies were a little greasy and not too plump, but still yummy. Although I was afraid of the health rating, I’m glad I took the risk. Besides, I made it to the day after!

I took my wife to Korzo to try the deep fried burger after seeing the video on Facebook. I checked Unilocal for their menu items and pricing and thought that the deep fried burger was worth a try as it was priced at $ 13.00. I was surprised when I saw the menu and the price of the burgers are actually listed at $ 17.00. While the burgers where in fact delicious I do not think a burger deluxe should cost $ 17.00. Why is this burger so expensive? Is it because of the added publicity that they have been getting from the food network that triggered the price increase? Please be prepared to wait over 20 minutes for your burger so make sure that you order some drinks and appetizers. My wife had the Korzo original and I had the Slav burger and they were both delicious. I am just not sure if it is worth the high price and long wait time.

The Korzo burger is probably the best burger in Brooklyn. The beer is also excellent. Get the Korzo Burger.

Amazing place! The korzo burger is a must have. I have no cons about this place. The food was great and the server was amazing, very kind and helpful. The burger was juicy and the taste was out of this world. Go check this place out it won’t disappoint.

**update: the burger came. It was friggin delicious. Where in god’s name is my burger? This place does 2 things: pours beers and makes burgers. It really should not take so long for either one of these extremely complex things to take place.

If the word Burgasm existed then this burger would be used to describe it. The interior is large with a lot of space for seating, and the service was excellent. They have an extensive beer list, and a few great cocktails to choose from. The food: –Mussels were delicious, flavorful and large portion. –Pork belly was juicy and tender –The Korzo Burger was ridiculously flavorful and one of the juiciest burgers I have ever had. The dough to burger ratio was perfect, and the the bacon was perfectly crisp. They also had numerous types to choose from. Overall great experience, great food and great drinks

Went here with a friend to specifically try the Korzo burger, because I couldn’t resist the lure of a deep fried burger. It’s also not as crazy as it sounds. The Original burger comes with a thick beef patty, bacon, cheese, mustard, and pickles. It’s wrapped in a flatbread/pita-like dough and fried. Needless to say, the burger is fantastic. Love the chewyness of the fried dough«bun», which gives an added texture and also helps hold everything together. It helps keep the burger juicy, the cheese melty, and the drippy toppings stay in place(okay, not really, but still does a better job than a regular bun). Also worth a mention is the beet ketchup, which definitely elevates the fries/chips that come with the burger. Service is very friendly and prompt. Definitely a burger worth trying and rightfully in many top burger lists.

I love burgers. And I love korzo’s burgers. Worth the wait. It’s different and delicious. The dough and the burger is just juicy. Pricey but worth it. Staff here is friendly. If you enjoying drinking beer try the korzo ale. Burgers and beer go together and it’s soooo yummy!

Burger tasted like your average burger off the grill. Nothing wow about it. Drinks took awhile to get and Took over 45minutes for our food and it’s not like the place was jammed packed. Wasn’t worth coming from Long Island for it plus not worth $ 17 either.

I just heard about this place and desperately needed to try out the famous Deep Fried Burger. The photos of the burger really don’t do it any justice. If your looking for good service this isn’t the right place to go. The waiter was one of the rudest people I’ve ever dealt with. It took about 30 minutes for him to come over give us water and take our order. He actually started to yell at us very arrogantly… but the food saved this place. For appetizers we orders the potato latkas topped with pulled pork. This was my personal favorite and the white sauce went perfect. The Pork belly came with nice size fatty pieces and the sausage plate was okay. Nothing special. It took a bit of time for the burgers to come out but if they make them one at a time like they say they do, its respectable. And its worth the wait. We ordered the chef and the original. The chef was incredible, Juicy and cheesy. It was a bit on the raw side but it worked. The dough they wrap it up in reminded me of a donut which i loved! I would go back but only to pick up and leave. Would never sit inside again.

The korzo burger was so yummy! I had a beet martini which tasted well like I put alcohol in my juicer. It’s a health conscious menu I guess. The fries were thin and were warm. Really it’s all about the burger.

Let me start off by saying the place next door has been condemned for rats and has signs about poison feeding. Then This place had some off the worst service ive experienced in a while. 6 of us sat at one of their tables, we ordered our drinks and waited 25 mins. we ordered 3 appetizers and asked if they can all feed 6, the sausage and pulled pork worked but the pork belly only had 5 pieces. The burgers came out and we arent picky eaters but they were all raw but still delicious. We asked for the bill and the waiter decided he was allowed to add his own gratuity to the bill and that is what really topped it all off. In a nutshell, We walked in for some burgers and a beer and it took 2 hours to get in and out of this place. The burgers were awesome even raw, apps were decent, service terrible.

After reading so many positive reviews about Korzo’s deep fried burgers on langos buns, my boyfriend and I came here with high expectations, which Korzo met. We both ordered the Original Korzo Burger, and it was wonderful. As others have mentioned, despite the meat being deep fried, it is not at all greasy, and the langos buns add to the very unique taste. The service was very good, and the ambiance is very family family. Korzo is not cheap for burgers, but it definitely is not your typical burger place.

I took my now fiancé to this place(when they had one in the city) after a previous date took me here. I regret that date but this is now my and my fiancée favorite burger ever. So I guess it was worth it! The unique flavor and seasoning to every dish is phenomenal. We now trek to this spot whenever possible. The Mac and cheese(halusky) is a must appetizer every time. Must go!!!

Such a cute little spot in Brooklyn. You can sit at the bar or in the room in the back. My friend and I waited at the bar for a table, and stared, drooling at the delicious menu. She is a vegetarian, and there were many yummy options to choose from. We chose the turnip-squash pirogi with cheese as an appetizer. It was excellent. You could really taste the turnip, a nice unique flavor, opposed to just tasting the filling. I choose the potato latkes with wild mushroom crème fresh as my main dish. It was 3 giant pancakes with a ton of fresh mushrooms. It was amazing. She ordered the Bklyn beet sandwich. A nice spin on a veggy burger. Dense, thick, different… tasty and delicious. We over-ordered, and were stuffed, although we shared everything. It was super heavy and filling but we had to try a dessert. The waiter recommended Marias Kreme’s which was a custard pastry. Not too sweet, just perfect! Only negative was they had no decaf coffee. But they do have herbal tea! It was a really nice night, night atmosphere and perfect food for a cold winter day.

This whole place reminds me of Prague, with an added Brooklyn chill vibe. The food is also a fusion of the two cultures: heavy, hearty, huge, but with seasonal and local ingredients and a special focus on the most hipster vegetable ever — beets. Don’t come here if you’re on a diet. Their salads have fried dumplings in them. Come here if you want big flavor in a hearty meal that’s still cooked sustainably. We started off by sharing the fried cheese. It comes with beets, greens and tartar sauce. The sauce has enough acidity to balance off any richness in the cheese, which is simply soft and gooey goodness. I got the new crop with egg and grilled bratwurst on the side. The new crop is a salad consisting of greens, squash, cheese, smoked chickpeas and fried pirogi. The greens are super fresh and seasonal and the dressing is really minty. The fried mushroom pirogi has crispy skin and a wonderful chew and almost defeats the purpose of a salad. The egg was poached perfectly. It was a decent dish and certainly one of the few healthy-looking menu items. But given how many ingredients there were I expected a bit more depth in flavor and variety in textures. The bratwurst was cooked well and had nice seasoning. I am a huge fan of their beet mustard, which is grainy which I like. It is better than their beet ketchup which is too watery. You can definitely taste the beet in both. The kraut that comes on top of the sausage is rather too mild and has too much onion. Overall it was a good meal and my friends who ordered burgers really enjoyed them. I will be back to try that. Food is 3.5 stars but I’m rounding off to 3 because my friend who’s allergic to onions was served onions in her dish.

Ordered three of the appetizers and if I were to choose one it would be the pickle– paprika bryndza — a goat cheese type mixture served with pickled veggies and side pita, that cheese… you can’t go wrong! The ‘real’ burgers all looked amazing but I just had to try the beer burger. It was delicious and very filling. The buns are a unique fried pita pocket type; usually I don’t like fried food but this was still good. I would recommend the beet burger! Ambiance is nice but could really use some music. Service was a little slow for a Friday night.

Why didn’t anyone tell me?! That was my reaction when I learned that you can buy a Deep fried burger in Brooklyn. I contacted my bestie to see if she was game for fried burgers. Yes! Set. Go! Dinner date at Korzo. Korzo serves a selection of German, Czech, Hungarian and Russian fare to a European/Brooklyn/millennial crowd. Come here to get steins of cold German/Czech/Belgium/New York brews. I loved my pint of a german Pilsner(don’t remember the name and definitely was not on the menu). Refreshing sips of cold beer in a frosted glass went perfectly with my fried burger. The Food: Buttermilk crusted fried brie– Let’s be honest. I liked this because it was novel. A bit heavy but great if you like Brie. The roasted beets accompaniment were sweet and cut into perfect little squares. The Original Korzo burger– farm raised beef with homemade pickles and gooey mild cheese. Those first two bites are heavenly. That crunch of Fried Hungarian dough, with burst of cheese, sweet & sour pickles, and meaty juicy burger. I won’t lie. That was awesome. Halusky Hand Cut Potato Noodles– What arrived was very different than what we expected. I think we assumed the potato noodles would be fried. The good: I loved the fried bacon squares on this dish. The weird: mushy potato dumplings mixed with a ricotta-like cheese. It tasted like a non-springy gnocchi. My friend hated it. She took one bite and spit the rest out. I helped her eat all the bacon. I didn’t mind it. Just a very different texture. I will definitely be back for that burger.

Fried burger… isnt that like EVERYAMERICAN’S DREAM??? THISISTHEREALAMERICANDREAM! It was rather empty for a Saturday night… oh wells! We opted for the Mussels(appetizer sized) The Otto — for me The Chef — for the boyfriend For drinks — i got myself the green apple cider(cause i dont care to drink that much). I’ll start with the cider since its straightforward and to the point. It is delicious for people who dont care too much for beer but want the carbonation. It is very tarty with just a bit of sweetness. My boyfriend said its almost like white white… but like a white wine gone bad. I liked it… so… The mussels — lather in mushroom, shallots and spicy chiliies in this creamy sauce… yummmmm. I never had mussels before until this night(i know… where have i been living?!) they were delicious… some were meatier than others but that sauce is divine! It’s not spicy at all, so dont fret! I wish they gave me bread instead of fries. The Otto — okay i have to admit, i was disappointed when i saw what i got. WHEREISTHEFRIEDPART?! in my head, i was thinking more like deep fried, like… a deep fried oreo… where you can see the crispy fried part… ok im thinking too far. The burger itself was pretty damn good — medium rare, the american cheese melted and gooey, the onion that gives it a crunch… it blended well together. The«bun» part didnt hold too well, ended up with sauces everywhere. That garlic aioli… yum… The burger comes with fries and pickled veggies… which were delicious! I needed the extra crunch and the sourness to cut the hearty burger. I took a few bite of my boyfriend’s The Chef. I can see why it cost a bit more! The meat itself has a different texture and taste… definitely stands on its own. I dont know if its different daily/weekly, but his burger came with avocado which made the burger even creamier and delicious. My boyfriend really enjoyed it and decline mine… HOWDAREYOU! Overall, the experience and food was great, not sure if it made a dent in my food memory but definitely worth trying

A very delicious lunch perfect for a winter day. My friends had Chicken & Vegetable Soup and Goulash. I had«Eine Kleine Schweine» and Halusky(Spätzle with cheese and bacon). The chicken soup was very tasty with a delicious broth. The Goulash was very paprika-y and warm. My «Eine Kleine Schweine» was a warm and creamy stew of pork and barley and topped with slices of mushrooms. It was lovely. The Halusky were the best thing I tasted. They were room temperature with a sharp cheesy sauce and crip diced cubes of bacon. The only drawback was that the food could have used more salt, with the exception of the Halusky which were salted via cheese and bacon. I made the unwise deicision to pair my hearty fare with a «Dry Danube Martini». The martini was delicious, but do yourself a favor and have it on its own sometime. It doesn’t go with spätzle. My friend ordered a Six Point«Brownstone» beer that was very delicious.
