I LOVE King Noodle. The outside looks ordinary but I promise you this place is a gem from the cute logo to the cute decorations and lighting. I’m so glad I stumbled upon this place through«Bushwick Daily» Magazine. I live in the area and it’s the first place where I’ve felt compelled to become a regular. Here is why: –Unusual, extraordinary and intense flavors in food. If you’ve ever said«I love trying new foods» you’ll love this. –Sharing is caring, the best strategy here is to get as many plates as you can eat and try some of each because everything is so yummy! –I have yet to be disappointed, each dish has mustered a «WOWTHATISDELICIOUS» reaction/face. –Warm and welcoming staff –Creative & energetic atmosphere –Everyday specials which have usually been something creative and unique [look at their Instagram for examples] –Background music is where it should be, in the background. No need to shout at your date or talk into ears while hunched over. Must try items: — Peanuts(trust me on this) — Morning glory leaves — Hot Toddy — Pineapple drink for two Main Dishes: –Curry Laksa –Pad see ew Pseudo-cons: –They change up the menu a lot. Which is awesome because it keeps things fresh and exciting but if you really love a dish, don’t get too attached because it might not be there one day. –They need more vegetarian options. If I weren’t pescatarian, I wouldn’t have much to eat. Luckily they do like experimenting with seafood in their specials. Vegetarians/vegans may have difficulty feeling full here because the only dishes that are meat free are the small plates and appetizers.

Came here with a group of seven on a weekend night. Some of us were meat eaters, some were vegetarian, and some were vegan. Before our waitress took our orders, she suggested that we do it family style. I explained to her that we all had different dietary restrictions, and that we’d rather just order individually. She said, «Yeah, I know, but we really recommend that you do family style.» A little taken aback, I explained again that we’d be ordering individually(p.s. nowhere on this place’s menu or website is family style mentioned). She seemed like she was actually annoyed, and then proceeded to take our orders. My friend, who is vegan, ordered the ma-po tofu fries. Of course, ma-po tofu is a dish that traditionally has beef in it, but she wasn’t aware of that, and it said nothing about beef on the menu. It’s one thing for a menu to not mention that a tofu dish has meat in it when you’re eating in Chinatown, but it’s another when you’re at a trendy place in Bushwick. kind of lame, but forgivable I guess.(To be fair, the meat eaters tried the fries and said they were awesome). Then our orders came. Thank GOD we didn’t order family style, because these were NOT family style dishes. Each portion was barely enough for one person, let alone big enough to share. The pad see ew was pretty average, definitely not worth $ 15 especially given the small portion. The laksa was pretty decent. Overall, no one seemed to be raving about their meals. Our waitress took forever to come over with our check after we’d been done for a while… at one point she actually looked over and saw us putting cash on the table and still didn’t come over with the check, so we eventually had to flag her down. TL;DR Overpriced food that was just okay, and service that was not great = meh.

One word: amazing. First of all, take the House Shot– you won’t be disappointed(for starters it has 3 kinds of rum). Lauren was our waitress and she was beyond awesome! She knew the menu well and recommended 2 dishes that have forever changed my life! Also get the appetizer that had the beef wrapped in leaves– perfect starter to your meal. I came on a Monday so if you want to catch Lauren come then! I just want to say how cool the music and atmosphere is! You could lounge and chill or party. The staff was super friendly and I got our food super quick. I am going to be a regular on Monday nights and recommend it to everyone!

This place is great. My boyfriend took me here for a date and we ordered a bunch of different things — lemongrass wings, Chinese broccoli, and some shrimp entrée I don’t remember the name of. The service was a tiny bit slow, but the food was delicious. Those lemongrass wings were so good, I could’ve eaten a dozen more. And the prices are pretty good for the portions. The restaurant is little, but wasn’t very crowded and had enough seating to accommodate. They have a nice atmosphere and ambience inside. It was a cute place for our date. Definitely go if you are looking for some cool Asian fusion food.

Since the upsetting menu change, I had a habit of periodically checking the website to see if, by chance, they made some revisions. So, I’ve just gotten back from a week in Farmtown, Indiana, home of deep fried everything, and wanted something decidedly not Hoosier. Weighing my options, not being inspired, I decided to brace myself for disappointment and check King Noodle’s menu. Low and behold, the spam fried rice was back. Score! My boyfriend and I split the Scorpion Bowl, spam fried rice(yaaas queen), mapo tofu cheese fries, and mee goreng. No regrets. It’s still not the King Noodle I fell in love with, but it’s a King Noodle I can live with.

Everything is great about this place. The food is phenomenal, the drinks fantastic, and the staff very friendly. Obviously the mapo fries are great– and the ever changing menu is proof the chef loves his job, and loves to innovate. It’s a great late night spot for those canned sakes which I can drink infinity of. Been going here regularly since it opened– and am a huge fan.

Every time I come here I am SO glad I made the decision. The food is incredible and the people here are great. Favorite place in Bushwick :) Make sure to order the peanuts/cashews, chili cheese fries(to die for), and you’ll need 2 scorpion bowls, and whatever the special is– get it! But honestly, you can’t go wrong with anything on the menu.

Came here for dinner with my fiancé and decided to sit at the bar as it was nicely lit and available. We got the vibe that the bartender didn’t like us very much. She ignored us when we were ready for a second round on drinks, didn’t check in after dropping food so she wouldn’t have known I dropped my chopstick and needed a new one, and didn’t pick up our dirty appetizer plates even though they were obviously in our way. We waited about 25min for our main dishes and had long finished appetizers. I observed her interactions with everyone else around us and we were defiantly getting the bad end of service in comparison. My dish was very citrusy and stung my throat after a while so I had to give up. We were pretty disappointed and although we’re willing to give it another try and sit at a table next time … this place is way at the bottom of our list. There’s lots of other good eats in this neighborhood.

King Noodle is amazing! This is not your typical Ramen factory, menu is always experimental, progressive and delicious! Try the Lemon Wings, they will change your life!!!

The service here is mediocre. Friendly, but not overly, but everything else is terrible. Let’s start off with the drinks. Everyone has mentioned a frozen pineapple drink, I got it. In the menu it states for two: 1. It’s all ice so you can’t even enjoy it — you are going to be struggling half the time clearing out your straw, 2. It’s literally a slushie — definitely will NOT get you the slightest bit buzzed, 3. $ 22?! For that? Are you kidding. I also found a fly roaming in there. Told our waitress and she DID offer another one which we took, but didn’t drink because it was just unbelievably bad. We’d figured maybe they’d make the second one a tad bit stronger? So wrong. Then the food. I got their special Pad See Ew with shrimp. Great. I know this place has to be super American, but I couldn’t be picky as most of the items on their menu contained meat and I’m a pescatarian. The portion was tiny, the food was overly salty, and this was another $ 20… But why? I eat Thai food all the time and it’s always so inexpensive. What place is going to charge you that much for an entrée that came in a plate that was for a side dish portion? And it wasn’t even good! I was starving and didn’t finish the plate. I wouldn’t have minded the pricing at all if ANY of this was remotely satisfying. The décor doesn’t even look that cool inside. It actually seems very dingy and very different from the photos. This place is probably the result of gentrification and the only reason why it’s still in business.

Ok, F*CK the coconut chicken curry(jk). That dish is amazing but its a little too heavy in the flavor department. I tried the roast pork rice bowl(coconut rice) the other day and it was PERFECT for what I wanted. Slightly sweet, very much savory, and a explosion of smile inducing flavors. My only gripe is that they only include 2 skewers of pork… Doing the rice to meat ratio game with whats equivalent of 3 bites of pork is incredibly difficult. It’s $ 13 a dish + drinks/tax/tip, PLEASE give me more protein!

Best place ever. When I lived in the neighborhood I was there at least once a week. The service is great-Jared and Barry are the best bartenders/people and Sam and Emily just brightens your day. But most importantly the food is amazing! I’ve never had a bad meal there and I’ve had thousands of meals there. (And to the reviewers that say they got food poisoning here– that’s called a hangover darling and there is no way you left without one!) This was my fun, quirky, drunk equivalent to the bar on cheers and you are a fool not to go check it out!

Go to King Noodle if you love great service, you have an explorative palette, and you love the 80’s. Our waiter Sam made my experience at King Noodle world class. He was so much fun! He was working a double and was still patient with all our questions and made the perfect recommendations. The dishes are small tapa style plates, so we ordered several to share. We tried the sautéed Chinese broccoli, the lamb ribs, and spicy wings. They were all delicious. They played all my favorite 80’s tunes and the décor was 80’s inspired. Very cool place to hang at while visiting Brooklyn, NY.

Whoa, this place is trash. I paid $ 18 for a small portion of the worse noodles I’ve ever had. A cup-of-noodles would of been a better choice than this place. Dont believe any hype, avoid this place for food. This place was a complete let down… I think i should mention again that the noodles were $ 18!!! Look at my track record, I dont like giving bad reviews but its my duty as a Unilocaler to let you know to avoid this place. Trash, Trash, Trash.

Walking into King Noodle you are greeted by neon lights & a mish mosh of 80’s paraphernalia, from pac man to star wars — the environment is definitely a lot of fun! We got here around 11:00PM so we could have dinner before the late night happy hour started — late night hh scorprion bowls are half off so $ 11& all cocktails are $ 5 We started with an order of the crispy wings, spicy salad, horse mackerel & kimchee. The only dish we didn’t like was the kimchee & the server actually took that off our check since we didn’t even eat it — this was also without us complaining or asking for it removed — great customer service! The crispy wings were lightly spiced & perfectly crispy. The meat was actually really juicy. The horse mackerel I was surprised by how many bones those tiny things contain but they are easily chewed out, so just watch out for that. The spicy salad was actually my favorite dish. Forewarning when they say spicy they do mean spicy. I love the bursts of bean sprouts with the shredded cabbage, chilies & cucumbers. This salad was actually spicy & refreshing! Onto drinks! We tried quite a few, they have the purple maui wowee which is served in a pineapple! The drink was good but I have some trouble w/frozen drinks as I get brain freeze so my friend wound up having more than me since I kept waiting for it to melt a bit. After that we got the Zombie which is a little spicy I recommend getting that before the pineapple. Personally I feel like that’s a better way to go about it. Once we were done with those drinks & dinner we moved to the bar & had the scorpion bowl. I’ve never had one before but it was awesome. I finished the night with a drink called the Fizz which was by far my favorite!!! Our server was friendly, our bartender Jared was awesome! I’m definitely coming back here again. They also have a brunch!!!
