My coworkers and I order from here nearly every day. I usually get the steamed tilapia or salmon with steamed veggies. My coworkers have ordered some of the fried items and said it was good too. I like that they have healthy options, plus the prices are reasonable, considering that it’s seafood. Nice that you can add your own condiments(butter, lemon juice, different seasonings, etc). The first few times the prices were inconsistent, but after being called out on it, they have been consistent with us since. Also make sure you call ahead if you don’t want to wait, because everything is made to order so it takes a bit. Overall good food, although the service leaves a little something to be desired.

First, the aroma coming from this market is heaven to seafood lovers. The whiting fish, scallops, clams are fried to perfection. The food is never greasy, overcooked, or burned. The steamed snow crab legs and dungeon crabs were seasoned well. This is my favorite fish market out of many located in Bedford-Stuyvesant.

I absolutely love this place. The steamed combos are always seasoned perfectly! They take your fish right from their fish market so it’s extremely fresh. Their fried items are great as well. When I’m craving steamed fish, this is the spot I come to!

Fresh seafood right by me. Score! Very unassuming but very fresh and reasonably priced seafood. And you have the option of purchasing seafood to cook at home or cooked seafood. All their combos are reasonably priced. Most combos are fried so if you are not a fan of fried seafood, look for something steamed. After cooking, the container is given to you to put the fixins’ on. Tartar sauce, hot sauce, and Old Bay. What else do you need? Like I said, score!

I swung into the Chinese Fast food joint next door and walked right out dismayed they didn’t have a brown rice option. Sure I knew it was likely to be one of them divey places where people order fried chicken wings over fried rice with spare rib tips on the side. Anyhow, next door was the Fish Mini Market where I glanced at the menu for a good two minutes and then decided with a steamed combo #1: two whiting fish, 2 shrimp, steamed veggies. For $ 5.50, they could add a slice of bread with it — otherwise it’s .25 a slice as a previous customer was bitching about. In any case, I enjoyed the fact that the man literally picked out two pieces of fish from across the cooking station to the large stands of fish on ice. Steamed it with some old bay and that was that. Simple. Healthy. Only gripe would be that the spine wasn’t deboned very cleanly and I suppose a lot of other customers who typically order their fish fried wouldn’t notice it.
