Juliet Strong Piano and Voice Lessons

I had very little singing experience prior to working with Juliet, just a few lessons at a Midtown vocal studio. Singing can be intimidating! Juliet has knack for making you feel totally comfortable. She is so, so, sweet and patient on top of being an wonderful teacher! Her teaching style was exactly what I was looking for. We have been working together since November and I have absolutely noticed an improvement in the quality of my singing voice. I look forward to my lesson every week not only because I feel like I have learned something new but also because it is fun.
I cannot recommend Juliet enough. She is truly amazing.

Or 10 stars… I started piano lessons with Juliet a few months ago (based on the wonderful reviews she already has). They are all true she is amazing! Juliet is a genuine and kindhearted person. She is knowledgeable and talented and just a remarkable teacher. I have a music background, but have always struggled with theory. Piano has been something I’ve thought about learning for years. Being a beginner was a little nerve-​racking. I am so glad to be working with her. The process has been wonderful and I am enjoying every second of it. I learn so much every lesson and she works with the pace I need to feel completely comfortable in our space and secure in my progress. She is awesome to talk to and its just really fun. I am excited to continue working with her. I can’t recommend her highly enough!

As the other reviews suggest, Juliet is a fantastic teacher! I think her general manner of just being kind, patient and supportive makes you feel more at ease, which is really important since I think a good portion of singing ability is about your mental state and confidence. Juliet is highly attentive when it comes to her analysis of your vocal strengths and weaknesses, and very knowledgeable about the inner workings of singing and how to alter and improve your sound. I think its very difficult to teach singing, as its very abstract and hard to explain how you can improve your sound, but it definitely really helps to have a teacher like Juliet. She also has an amazingly powerful/​beautiful voice, which is reassuring!

I actually found Juliet by using Unilocal,so I can attest to the other reviews here that she is a phenomenal teacher and person. I had been previously trained in voice but took a few years off and never had a teacher in NY. When I decided I wanted to start up with lessons again I found Juliet and it was the best decision I could have made.
She has a way of teaching that I deeply connect to, and I have been challenged in the most fun way possible. Her demeanor is flexible and easy going, and her teaching methods are extremely effective. I have found that I have learned so much with her in the past few months even though I have had years of training.
If you are considering lessons whether or not you are a total beginner, or highly trained, working with Juliet is going to be a wonderful experience. I look forward to all of my lessons and cannot recommend her enough.

Juliet is simply amazing. Not only a deeply attentive, kind, supportive and skillful teacher, she’s an overall fantastic human being who’ll make you feel completely comfortable the moment you walk in, and work your strengths and weaknesses from a holistic and encouraging approach.

She is patient, encouraging, and has so much knowledge. She provides a comfortable atmosphere that allows you to feel free to ask questions and most importantly, make mistakes. I was not confident in my singing pitch recognition, so I started taking private lessons with juliet.
She’s a fantastic teacher, and has helped me find my voice and range. I’ve gone from having very little confidence in my singing to the point now where I’m proud to sing in front of my friends.

I’ve been taking lessons from Juliet for a few years and she’s the best voice teacher I’ve ever had (after many as a kid /​teen and a few as an adult). She has that rare combination of talent as a teacher (and a musician) and kindness as a human. I can’t recommend her highly enough.
