Julieee is honestly the best. I contacted her right away, she took the time to help schedule the best day for a hair appointment, and she worked with me to find the best hair cut and care. She also does makeup which was a plus because she gave me good advice on how to do my makeup. She is very knowledgeable in numerous hairstyles which is a benefit for those who want to try it out. (She also knows the best place to get hair at a decent price). I love the fact that she’s willing to travel and she takes the time out to give you the best result. I will definitely be contacting her again in the future for more appointments! I recommend her to everyone!

I want to start by thanking Julienne, I explained what I wanted and she delivered. Had installments and make up done. Julienne’s very down to earth professional and charges at a reasonable price. I had my hair installed by Juli about two weeks ago and I have to admit this was one of the BEST installs I’ve ever had. After moving to New York and struggling to find a good hair stylist, I must say Juli met and exceeded all of my expectations.
1. She was fast. The entire process took about 3 hours total, and the best part is that she will travel to you!
2. The braids were nice and tight and the closure blended very well with my cut.
3. She give good advice regarding best practices for hair up keeping.
I am very happy to have found a great hair stylist in Brooklyn. Call Juli for your next install! She is AMAZING.

Julienne is the best at what she does! I’ve been going to her for a few years now for makeup applications as well as hair extensions. This Unilocal review is actually long overdue. I’m going to break it in two parts starting with hair.
Why does JuliQ deserve 5 stars?
Hair
1. Ju knows how to install a weave using many different methods. She gives you a consult before each install to make sure that your hair turns out exactly how you want.
2. Her braids are small, neat, and not too tight. You will still have your edges intact after taking your extensions out.
3. She’s fast! My last visit consisted of a dye job, and full extensions. I was done in less than 3 hours, no lie.
4. Her weaves lay flat and look so natural. She blends my hair so well with the extensions that it all looks like it’s coming from my scalp!
5. She’s creative, which means she doesn’t give everyone the same hairstyle. I don’t know about you, but I can’t stand one trick pony hairstylists that style all their clients with the same haircut, curls, and color.
6. You will never have to worry about a track slipping out! Her extensions are installed to last. Now this is a HUGE no no, but I’ve actually left an install in for almost 6 months! Gross, I know, but my hair still looked good!
Makeup
1. She makes my skin look flawless! I’m in my late 30’s and I get out of her chair looking like a teen.
2. She is constantly developing her craft. Along with being creative with hair styling, she is always working on new makeup looks to keep up with the current trends.
3. She knows skin! A lot of makeup artists get so caught up in the makeup aspect that they forget to treat the skin. Not Julienne! She always makes sure that my skin is clean and moisturized before an application, and she suggests products that will work well for my skin so that it glows.
4. All I have to do is sit in her chair and say, make me beautiful and she does it every time.
All of these things make her great at her craft, but she is also professional and pleasant. That is why I feel like she deserves all five of those stars.

JuliQ M has done my hair and make up many times. I am a jock with job and JuliQ M helps me split the difference between my sweats and my heels. She gives great advise about styling and hair care. She is very knowledgeable about cosmetic brands and usage. She has saved me tones of time and lots of money by talking me out of buying products that I don’t need or that don’t work.
I was new the wonderful world of hair weave and she has helped when choosing hairstyles to preserve the health of my hair while wearing a weave. What do they call that now «responsible weave».
Long story short. Your hair and make-​up will suit YOU, look awesome, and not break your wallet.

Julienne has been doing my hair for almost two years now and I can’t imagine going to anyone else. I have a very demanding/​unpredictable work schedule, so it’s a huge plus that Juli is flexible and willing to schedule appointments in the evening.
I love that I can get a salon quality look without leaving my bedroom. The fact that Juli is always willing to come to my apartment to do my hair makes my life so much easier. I also really appreciate that she takes the time to cut and style my hair after installing tracks. Her advice on the right types of hair to buy, hair care or the sorts of styles I should try are invaluable since I know nothing about hair.
Juli is dependable and has a great sense of humor. She is always a pleasure to talk to. Above all, Juli is a true artist, very committed to her work and is consistently able to help me achieve exactly the look I want.

I moved to NYC from LA almost 2 years ago and I’ve been searching for that «IT» stylist… professional, detail-​oriented, innovative, friendly & kind… somebody that truly knows their craft and does it well. And I finally found her!!! Juli Q sewed in a full weave with some leave out for me last weekend and it turned out flawless, the definiton of an undetectable Cali weave. She dyed the hair to match my hair color which is a dark reddish-​brown and it matched perfectly. She was quick and very patient with all of my requests. She also showed me new techniques for my make-​up application. So not only do I have a new hairstylist but a new professional make-​up artist as well. I believe JuliQ has more than what it takes to make it big in this industry. I am so happy that I found her and I will be going back frequently.

To say that Julienne went above and beyond with my hair is an understatement. After reading her consistently positive Unilocal reviews, I called to schedule an appointment for a sew-​in. I was having a hair emergency and expressed that to her, and she happily agreed to take care of my hair that evening. She asked me questions before suggesting a certain brand of hair, and even told me of an ideal location for me to purchase it based on where I live. Our schedules would only allow her to do my hair late in the evening (a little after 10pm), yet she did not let the fact that it was late impair the quality of her service. She took her time familiarizing herself with my hair and asking me lifestyle questions before starting. She was kind, considerate, fun, and professional from start to finish, answering my thousands of make-​up and hair questions patiently and thoroughly. She surpassed my expectations even more by calling a local cab to make sure that I got home safely that late in the evening. A few days later she checked in with me to see how my hair was doing.
If this isn’t top-​notch service, then I don’t know what is :-D

Julienne was amazing! She did my wedding makeup and the makeup of our entire wedding party (aprrox 8 women). Her work was flawless and we all looked beautiful. I met with Julienne in advance and showed her a picture of what I wanted. She was able to replicate exactly what I wanted and did a gorgeous job! And everyone’s makeup lasted long into the night. She was so sweet and friendly and so professional. We had a blast getting ready with her!

She is so sweet and very good with direction. I am nervous anytime I get my hair done – however, she is very talented and warm + we both share a love for mermaid hair.

I have gotten my hair done with Julienne in her home, but Unilocal is not giving me the best options for reviewing, so here goes…
As a natural girl, I had serious trepidation in getting a hair weave. The whole «I’m I selling out, do I want to cover my kinks thing»… but Julienne has completely changed my mind about the service, because she is very good.
«Then why did you get it done then?» (I can hear some of you!)
Honestly, because I saw Beyonce perform «Single Ladies» at the VMAs and she was seriously doing up that Sasha Fierce thing, swinging her weave all around… I decided right then that I was gonna go ahead and do it — this was before Willow Smith came out with her song, but that too would have been an inspiration for me! (Julienne didn’t think that I would actually let her, because I would be categorized as one of those Angela Davis kind of natural chicks.)
Julienne decided to give me a full weave, because I didn’t want to have to put constant heat on my hair. When she cornrowed my hair the braids were not too tight. Once she sowed in the weave, now that was tight but not torture. It took a couple of days for me to honestly feel comfortable with it, but I did and do now.
The best part about the experience was the hair cut, people are constantly complimenting me on how cute the cut is, and how much the weave looks like my actual hair. Julienne also gave me tips on how to care for my weave and my real hair beneath it. She even checked on me weeks later to see if I was satisfied. (Remember, this was a huge change for me!) So far, my hair likes having the rest that the hair weave provides. My real hair has gained quite a bit of length and is super soft too.
Julienne is the only person that I would trust to put a hair weave in my hair. She really thinks about how her clients will look and takes into consideration what will be best for them, including hair type, color, products, and price. She is not the least expensive stylist, but you will definitely get better service than what she charges — for now anyway!
Plus, you will not have to worry about losing your hair from having her do it!
Why only four stars, then? She rushed me the last time I saw her — Julienne is great, though.
