I’ve been here twice so far. The first time was a real cut. Second time was just a touch up(in other words, a trim). I’ve left fairly satisfied both times($ 18 for a cut is a slick deal to me considering I’ve been charged $ 30+ for shoulder length hair cuts in the city/Chinatown). When they wash your hair, it is so comfortable. It’s basically a massage with shampoo and conditioner. They literally massage your temples and the back of your neck. This kinda goes on for a little longer than most salons. I didn’t keep track of time since it felt so nice for my worn out body but I’d say possibly a good 8 minute wash. At this rate, who needs to go to a spa? :P As for the hair cut itself, I went with a stylist named Paul. I had a bit of an unusual request for my cut and he pulled it off perfectly. I did something like a side shaved pixie. You can see that he clearly puts a lot of concentration and effort into his client’s hair. It’s great that he doesn’t just do the quick snip snip and get it over with kind of thing. They’re also rather friendly and chatty so that you don’t fall asleep in the chair like I’m usually prone to. They also remember most of their customers, which is another bonus because they’ll remember your preferences. Overall, I’m glad to have a good hair salon near me so that I can save my Metrocard and train ride out to somewhere far. Extra money for tipping!

… lady that washed my hair had to answer her phone which I was fine with but then she answered it again and then she rushed to wash my hair and no massage with the conditioner, conditioner part was literally 2 second and she rinsed, she was in a hurry to go outside and pick up something from the person which I guess kept calling her. The guy that cut my hair wasn’t even paying attention to my hair, I’m not sure what he kept looking at but his eyes kept looking towards the washing area. I came home and realized my hair wasn’t even. My split is in the middle and my left side was shorter and the cut was not nice at all. I wanted layer which to me is simple and everyone that cuts hair should know how to do. All in all I hate it.
