A decent local restaurant for sushi, the sushi here is decently fresh. I usually order spider rolls and salmon sashimi, they’re tasty. I think it’s more worth it to order rolls here than sashimi because one order of any sashimi is one piece and not two, unlike other sushi restaurants. I like to order takeout from this place over dining in.

Ordered sushi through Unilocal.Got an email confirming the order. Showed up 25 minutes later, and owner says they don’t take Unilocal orders. The owner had the email saying an order was placed but said he didn’t take Unilocal orders. Why didn’t he call us and ask us to place the order over the phone or AT LEAST tell us that they don’t take Unilocal orders? Not totally sure. When I walked in, the place wasn’t super packed or anything, so I’m sure they could’ve used our business, not only that day, but also in the future.
Ended up having to go to a different sushi place, place another order, and then wait another 25 minutes for that to be ready.
Terrible experience… Get it together. Either take your restaurant off Unilocal or honor the orders that are placed. Doesn’t seem difficult.

Very good sushi at a very good price.
I’ve ordered takeout from here a few times now and have never been disappointed. Whether it’s a cooked or uncooked sushi roll, it’s always been what the doctor ordered.
With so many sushi places on 86st, it’s hard to stand out, and this place does. Highly recommended.

This review is long overdue. Although there are many local sushi restaurants Ichi Sushi is definitely the way to go. They have two locations, one on 86th and the other is on Bay parkway.
Reasons why I love Ichi is because they have fresh fish at extremely affordable prices. Eating and drinking at Ichi will NOT cost you an arm and a leg like most places. They also have buy 1 get 1 50% on special rolls. Who doesn’t love a special roll!!!
I really like the ambiance. It’s super quiet and cozy. They have about 3 booths, some tables, & a sushi bar. Pretty small place but still legit. Service is acceptable. They take your order and leave you alone till you’re done. Refills on teas/​water are never a problem.
They deliver as well, & delivery is always fast!!!
