I love this place! Best falafels. They are full of all the delicious fixings. The falafel balls have just the right amount of spices. I eat there often and never had a dish that was less than beautiful and delicious,

Who’s in the mood for piping hot, herbaceous, delicate falafel balls nestled inside pillowy pita bread lined generously with their eponymous hummus with all the veggie extras your little heart desires? Or some shakshouka? Eggs poached in a molten, spicy tomato stew. This also comes inside the aforementioned pita and hummus. I make a special trip on the Q train just to visit them because I’m that obsessed. If I go without Hummus Point for too long I get a little crazy like Richard Dreyfuss in Close Encounters, except I start building giant falafel balls out of dirt and shrubs.

I’ve only been there twice and ordered falafel platter to go both times. Pretty nice and inexpensive israeli food. Salad choices are not so great, could be much better in the same price category. I wish they invested a little in their interior — the place looks ugly, but I guess they don’t care — they seem to have their local guaranteed clientele who doesn’t care either and just keep the place going.

The best hummus in the TriState area ! Not to too big and very cosy this place serves the best Mediterranean food I ever had. The service is top class and they make me feel like home every time. Definitely worth the ride for me from the upper east side as this quality does not exist in Manhattan or elsewhere in NYC. I’m addicted

Best laffa in the land. The food here is fresh, generous and very, very memorable. I really wouldn’t want to eat anywhere else… and that’s saying quite a bit for a place that’s so close to Pomegranate. Great customer service, although it’s your typical slow joint… it’s as if they’re making hummus from scratch by the order. But that’s what makes it special, too. You feel like you’re in someone’s kitchen, and they’re making each dish tailored to order. What a nice Kosher/vegetarian addition to the area.

Little hole in the wall. It’s vegetarian so they don’t serve schwarma but it serves really delicious falafel, which was $ 5. The falaefel was really nice and messy because the pita was loaded with goodies like babaganoush, tahini, chickpeas, and tomatoes and other falafel staples. It was one of the better falafels I’ve had. It rivals Grill Point in Flushing and that place is heaven. The guy working the counter was really nice and friendly. He didn’t even charge me tax even though I used my credit card.

I recently started working in the area –and anyone familiar with this neighborhood knows that there is a ‘drought’ of establishments where you can eat. I went on a long walk this afternoon in the hopes of finding something a few blocks farther than I have normally been walking for lunch. During my search, I found this place hiding on the side/inner block of Coney Island Ave. I immediately saw the decals pasted on their window that boldly promised«Best Falafel in NY» and«Best Hummus in NY.» I’ve religiously eaten Falafel in over 3 boroughs(Manhattan, Brooklyn and Staten Island). Almost every place I have tried them have claimed to be ‘The Best.’ It’s not a deceptive tactic — there’s no objective way of rebutting that fact. But I can honestly say, this place is true to their word. I walked in and asked for a Falafel and Hummus platter. Within 2 minutes, I am served with a giant bowl of Hummus(deliciously seasoned and cleverly decorated), a handsome portion of falafel balls, 2 loaves of plump pita bread and a side portion of sweet peppers, pickles, onions and radishes. What can I say? I was in heaven. The falafel was excellent, the hummus was just right, the bread was beyond expectations and the pickles were perfect. Lastly, I was prepared to pay $ 12 – 14 for the platter. But after all that food, the waiter tells me «$ 8.» I love this place. Given the small and hidden characteristic of this place, I didn’t think it would have such an effect on me. But you know what they say: it’s the quiet ones that always surprise you.
