This is my first Unilocal review and I felt compelled to write it because even though the food here was decent, I was duly ripped off by the establishment. I used an Amazon local coupon which was applied to my final check that I paid via credit card and signed. When I looked at my credit card statement a month later, I was charged an additional $ 24 on the total so I immediately contacted the restaurant about this. The employee said there was no manager on site so they gave me someone’s personal gmail address(WTF?) to contact since for some reason this company doesn’t have an official e-mail address. I explained the situation to the alleged manager named Ariel on this phantom g-mail address and never received a response. After multiple follow ups I decided to call again but there was still no manager available and the employee working didn’t have any answer for me. Well this blows I thought to myself. Unfortunately I didn’t save my receipt so I can’t dispute it with my credit card company. With the additional $ 24 I was charged, the $ 12 I was charged for the Amazon coupon and the $ 15 on the bill, I paid almost $ 50 for a mediocre meal in a sketchy basement that should’ve been $ 20 in a sketchy basement. Awesome. Be warned if using coupons here or if you have any sort of customer service issue because you’ll be thrown to the wolves.

Hummus Kitchen is a very cute small restaurant with a bit of an identity crisis and mediocre service. First off, it is in a basement, and there isn’t much signage, it took me forever to walk in because I had no idea what was inside. It is a pretty cute, intimate space with a few tables, a bar like area to order from, and also some Mediterranean pantry goods on the shelves. I walked in and it took the one guy working there ~5 minutes to take my order. I ordered the falafel wrap with a side of hummus and then the wait settled in. 25 minutes later I got my food for takeout. Seriously? I told the guy he should warn people if it will take that long and he just looked at me and grunted — so rude. I was the only person in the store and apparently he had a large delivery order, on what planet do you take a half hour to work on a delivery order when there is a guy sitting in your store? Totally unacceptable service and to top it off with rudeness is just next level. The only reason it doesn’t get 1 star is the food was actually pretty good, overpriced but good. But no way in hell will I ever step foot in this place again, too many other good options elsewhere. I will just keep getting my $ 4.50 falafel from down the block at Kabob Shack, I suggest you do the same.

It’s no Hummus Place, but since there is no Hummus Place in the neighborhood, this will suffice. I’ve had consistently good delivery, and it tends to be faster than what the Seamless estimate says.(60−75=30−45 pretty much every time)

Loved their trio plate! Got the grape leaves, falafel, and hummus which were all delicious!

This is a strange one. Is it a restaurant? Is it a glorified take-out joint with some tables? I ate in, but was served with disposable utensils and plates. The guy at the register could have been nicer. He seemed more interested in talking with his buddies. I got the cous-cous chicken, which was pretty dry and plain. Moreover, it is just a terribly BROWN dish. Every damn ingredient is brown, making it look like a mush with barely defined differences in texture. A sprinkle of cilantro or parsley could have livened up the taste a bit. And no sauces were available to try to revive the flavors a bit. I started out giving this place 3 stars, but I think I’ve talked myself into a 2. *I inadvertently wrote this review for the wrong Hummus Kitchen location. Sorry Hummus Kitchen.

With literally zero people in the restaurant, both servers seemed to be actively working to seem aloof and unwelcoming. When I got it home, the wrap I ordered was a soggy mess of too-salty hummus and chicken. For much better food and MUCH better service try La Goulette on Grand just west of Bedford. They’re a little slow, but the food is great and they’ll treat you right!

Lovely ambience with friendly guys and the best falafel I have eaten. Recommend to try the trio to focus for the favorite taste.

The owners of Zizi-Limona(my favorite restaurant;) decided to open a brunch of hummus kitchen downstairs. I been wanting to eat hummus for a while, and this time when I came I decided to go down and check it out, let me tell you the place looks amazing, they turned an old basement into a luxuries little restaurants. The food is really fresh and tasty, and they serve it quite fast. Over-all great experience.

I got the chicken kebab platter and chicken couscous platter to go and they were both delicious. The portions were small for a «platter» but it was almost filling. The food had a wonderful mix of flavors although my friend thought it was bland. The seating area is cute but little too caved in. It’s in the celler of another restaurant(Zizi Lemona restaurant). I personally wouldnt dine in but it was perfect for takeout.
