Horrible customer service, find somewhere else

I have a home recording studio and brought a malfunctioning speaker for repair at Heavy Electronics & Security around early November. Upon drop-​off, I was told that the repair would take a couple of weeks and that they would contact me when it is done. Seems reasonable, I thought. My studio can handle two weeks without one of the recording room speakers.
One month later, I still haven’t heard a peep from them. I called them a couple of times but got the machine on both instances, so I went ahead and left my name, number, and speaker model for them to contact me and inform me of the repair status. One week later, and still no phone call. I rang again, and this time actually got through to a living and breathing clerk. However, my excitement quickly ebbed as I misplaced my order number and without it, was informed that I could not find the status of the repair. If I left my info, I was told, they could manually track the order and get back to me. Fair enough. Another week passes, and sure enough, still no call. Another message is left but goes unanswered. A few days pass, another call is placed, and I find out that my speaker is in fact ready.
Upon arrival to the store, I learn that they cannot release the speaker to me without said order number and receipt. The only way to release it is via a utility bill verifying my address and proper identification — information that was not conveyed to me in any of the preceding phone calls. And naturally, the utility bill needs to be printed and neither my NY state ID (admittedly an expired one) nor my Israeli driver’s license (still valid) satisfied their ID requirements. I had to come up with a third form of identification in combination with the printed utility bill to finally receive the speaker.
So two months, 6 phone calls, and a great deal of heartache later, I got a speaker back that merely needed one part changed.

I took my Sony suround sound system to this place. after a week I was told by the woman behind the counter said it can be fixed but the parts were not in stock and hard to find to give them time, after a month I was tired of the lip service from the same woman so I took it back. I was ready to call it a loss when I found a place in green point Brooklyn, after a little over a week this place fixed the problem and they had the parts for it, common parts not hard to find at all don’t wast your time with
This place go to someone who will fix it
