Good atmosphere to sit down and relax or read. I’ve only tried the mocha latte, which was good. Owner seems very nice.

Not a fan of huge workday lunches, unless the boss is paying, so I went with a Greek Panini here. The good. It was filling, a full plate contained the panini and a side salad. After eating, I was felt satisfied but not stuffed. Panini filling was excellent, perfect blend of flavors, with melted feta. The salad was a nice addition, since I really wasn’t expecting it. Now for the peculiar. The bread/wrap, not bad, but rather, was not what I expected. Most panini I’ve partaken of, use a flat bread, like naan or a thick wrap. Chewy, and doughy, that gets a nice grilled texture and char in the panini grill. The bread used here was like a cracker. I’d call this a ‘melt’ or something, but not panini. I’ll try them again when in the area, but go for a wrap of sandwich.

For an espresso bar, the cappuccino they served was really lousy. Full of milk and barely any coffee. I wish they use their machines or skills better and make the name count!

I have been here five times — once a month since September. I went here because it looked like a cool café, and I’m all for supporting the little guy. Grind exceeded my expectations. Here’s how: Ambiance: Amazing — dim lighting, quiet(even when there are people), and warm in winter and comfortable in warmer months. Nice, low music that allows one to study. The employees talk nicely to each other which makes me feel more at home. There’s a really nice upstairs where you can sit — very unique to Brooklyn(reminds me of a San Francisco café). Middle of the day crowd are mostly moms out for lunch. Night crowd includes dates(great date idea) and young married couples. Food: The chocolate chip sugar free and regular muffins are amazing(they will even warm it up for you). They have sugar free/regular hazelnut and french vanilla syrup that you can add to your coffee. I once ordered a tuna melton a baguette. They suggested it on a panini because it tastes better, so I got it, but didn’t really like it. Tuna had celery in it, which I feel they should inform people about. Another time I tried the«lemonana»(mint+lemon+ice+sugar) but didn’t like. Service: The owner is a really warm guy, and provides excellent service. Twice, however, an employee told me they’d bring my food over but never did… I had to come over. Still, I came back and the service was great. We ordered dinner for four and the owner didn’t charge for extra bread. Price: Drinks are decently priced. $ 1.50 for cold bottled drinks and $ 2 – 2.50 for coffee. You can ask them for extra ice and they’ll gladly give it to you. Soups and bagels are also decently priced. Bagels are okay — they taste a bit generic. Overall: Great place, very relaxing. The employees here do EVERYTHING with a smile. When I pass this place, I always want to go in. Service and prices are great, and employees make me and my company feel wanted.

This is a mixed review — coffee, pastries and the owner/manager get 5 stars, lunch food is more like 3 – 4 stars, and the order/waiter service is 2 stars. They carry La Colombe coffee and make great cups, both hot and cold. It’s also reasonably priced($ 3-$ 4 for lattes and cappuccinos). I met the owner once and he’s the nicest, but the order takers and the kitchen staff are sullen and unprofessional. They mess up orders and don’t approach customers in the way that they should. Lunch food is ok — I’ve head omelettes, salads, and pasta here, and they are just passable. I still give it 4 stars because the coffee and pastries are outstanding, it’s a good space and not crowded, and it’s really the only café of this type in the area.

Best coffee bar in the neighborhood. Modern and cozy atmosphere that’s well designed and has great coffee. You’d usually have to go as far as parkslope if not Manhattan to find a coffee place like this one. Definitely my new daily go-to on my way to work and school. Ps: coffee is not only great, but cheaper than most places. You’ll pay less for a large coffee from here than a small crappy coffee from Starbucks.

Super highly recommended! Just went with my wife and had a really nice time. Food and coffee was deliciously scrumptious. Wife ordered a low fat pizza on a wrap, hit the spot perfectly. I ordered an avocado salad which was both tasty and fresh. I also had a chocolate mint drink with espresso poured over it. Probably one of the tastiest drinks I ever had. The staff was very warm, friendly, and quick. The ambiance was very relaxing. Light music, rustic style décor, and vintage style paintings made for the perfect setting. 5 stars across the board. Keep up the great work!

Their coffee tastes great! I love the designs of their atmosphere– very unique and relaxing. I just wish that they open on Saturday mornings/early afternoon and perhaps earlier on weekday mornings(since many ppl work from 8 – 4).
