They have liquor. You have cash. All systems go. The previous poster described it to a T, from the weirdos who patronize the spot, the rude-ish non-smiling staff, and cooky upstairs neighbors(2 females) whose careers are to be posted up at the entrance. They’re harmless so say hi… or not! Prices leave a little to be desired, I’m convinced they are a few coins or a dollar higher than others in the neighborhood but good in a pinch.

Too much chaos in this place, from way back to the present, to really describe in a Unilocal review… Newkirk Plaza liquors has the respectable tequila selection, they can advise you on wine pairings, and the owner has personally delivered on his way home… so if you are looking for that kind of class and service, by all means, go there — and they are right next to the train, and are generally reasonably priced, and accept credt cards. BUT — If you want to pay at least $ 1-$ 3 less for every bottle, don’t mind paying cash only, and are closer to Flatbush/Bedford than CIA/Ocean Ave., and would like to step into a scene from a BCAT sit-com, then this is the place. In nice weather, the upstairs neighbors sit outside the store, and fortunately for them, they don’t have far to go for provisions. Regardless of state of sobriety, people just seem to feel comfortable enough to let it all hang out and act crazy in here… regardless of the time of day, there is usually some sort of scene going on, and busy times(week-end early evenings, etc.) it only gets nuttier and funnier(its only funny until someone loses an eye?!?). If you need that rare bottle/brand, etc., you may be disappointed, but if you are not picky and just need to get your swerve on, you will quickly and defensively be served.
