Love this place. Better than papaya king. This is an original NY burger and hot dog place. They grill the hot dogs to perfection, nice and crispy on the outside and tender inside. Their cheese burgers are great also. You can get a good, decent, quick meal for cheap! I hope they stick around and survive the neighborhood’s changing.

Used to come here frequently in my teens back when I would shop in the Fulton/Downtown Brooklyn area. Much has changed in this area but thankfully Fulton Hot Dog King remains a cool fast food spot to hit up when you are on the go and in passing from one store to the next or if you’re running errands in the area.

Excellent value for price, great all-beef hot dogs, surprisingly good fresh smoothies, very nice crew.

Quick, cheap, variety and convenient. Really as simple as that. Staying a Indigo Hotel and didn’t feel like paying $ 10 – 15 for breakfast. Crossed and street and saw this place, doesn’t look like much but it was busy. Got my breakfast for $ 5, it was a lot of food that my hotel would gladly charge $ 15 for. Will definitely be there for the next few days, the hot dog looks good so I might try that next

This place actually seems to be more an all purpose fast food joint than a solid hot dog place. They had plenty of burgers, pizza, and deli type sandwiches on the menu. I was hoping to get breakfast, but that stopped at noon. I ended up getting a grilled cheese and a small pineapple juice drink. The sandwich was melty, cheesey, and buttery. The juice was sweet but not too sweet. Oh, and the total was 3.00. Seems like a good spot for a cheap snack or a quick meal. It sucks that they are cash only. It also sucks that the ordering process is kind of awkward and offputting. They had 10 guys there but for some reason I had to order at the one guy farthest away from me so they could chat up the pretty nurses on break… yeah ok. Overall this is a solid middle of the pack place for quick cheap eats.

Hot day? Hot dog! Had one sausage dog on a bun running an errand, on the way back went for two more. Six bucks total… clean and neat. The sauerkraut is smooth(with a little pickled bite), but the dog and bun were extra smooth. Amazing texture for both. You want a bonafide Brooklyn dog? Go here!

As I walked into hotdog haven(can’t really say shop because it’s on a corner and all awnings, doors, gates whatever you want to call it are up giving it an open, fleamarket feel), I heard«what do you want what do you want?!?» in quick succession. Without enough time to browse the menu board I replied«hot dog hot dog hold all sauce» and I felt like a true Brooklynite hotdog pro *GRINS*. I can’t say if it’s one vendor or several that share this corner space because although it’s one long counter where your place your order, they somehow manage to look together but apart. They have smoothies, various types of hotdogs and hamburgers, and at the very end I saw pizza. I’m sure I missed something. Come hungry leave happy even with only three stools at the very end by the pizza area. My Unilocal pal JackSprat told me they’ve been in existence for over 50 years. Nice. Things still taste fresh. Lol I enjoyed my hotdog and wish I’d found here sooner or maybe not(gym calls). Nice experince but not if you’re on the fussy side and don’t particularly enjoy munching your food standing(sometimes on the street) and being jostled by new customers. Me? I likey! Five stars! It is what it is. Take it or leave it. The End.

If you are ever in the downtown Brooklyn area you must try these dogs and hot sausages! Simply marvelous. You will not be disappointed. Excellent!

Best hotdogs downtown. Don’t even bother with the carts. They also have some other sandwiches like fried chicken, grilled chicken, fried fish, cheeseburger, hamburger, btl etc. All super reasonably priced and good. They got fresh juice $ 4 for a small, veggie and fruit. perfect place to wait while your girlfriend is taking forever in Macy’s

I think they have the best hot dogs. There grilled not boiled in water so that’s a plus! It is a bit loud n busy there but that’s only because everyone goes there and not only for hot dogs. There steak sandwiches are great too! They have a good variety of food there also.

Hope you have good lungs and a loud voice. There is alot of activity in the area. Its an open area so you will most likely have to order over people. The menu is huge enough to be seen from across the street so dont start«ummm» or «whatcha got» …if you cant read nobody can help you. Had to remind the guy of my drink order 3x. other than that its a new york thing… loud and fast. The hot sausage with the works will fill you for the rest of the day

Just when you think the best hot dogs you would have ever eaten would come from Papaya… I’ve been eating here for ages! Not only are they good hot dogs, but you get that crispy snap! That snap is the key to a hot dog changing your mood for the day and quite possibly your life. What I will always love about this place is it’s convenience to people riding the train and the openess of the location. Years ago, downtown Brooklyn had a pizza shop that everyone and their momma’s went to. Once that closed, a void had been left open and I feel these guys filled it. Two hot dogs and a lemonade will cost you around &6. You will pay almost double that amount at Nathan’s and you get the same quality here.

Simply put, this is not a great restaurant. I paid $ 5.25 for a soggy burger, mediocre fries, and a very small medium drink. For the price, it’s still not good. I would recommend the nearby McDonalds before this place if you want a good burger/fries/soda combo.

Cheap, friendly, fast, tastes good, free water. Saw the great reviews on Unilocal so I decided to go there for dinner. The hot dog($ 1.50) is a normal sized hot dog where you can add relish, onion, ketchup, and tomato. I got everything on it, but I recommend not getting the mustard or ketchup because it gets too salty. The burger platter($ 4.25) was extremely satisfying. Ample amount of hot, freshly fried fries and a not-so-overwhelming yet filling burger.

I have been going to this place since I was a kid. Growing up in downtown brooklyn was great but the best part was being able to go shopping at Fulton mall and stopping by hotdog king for the best hotdogs in town hands down! The hotdogs are so good you get that SNAP! The minute you bite into them. Let’s not forget to mention the hot sausage OmG! To die for!!! I can’t emphasize how good this spot is you must go try(my mouth is watery as I am writing this review). Btw parking is difficult there go with a friend and enjoy!!!

Surprisingly phenomenal hot dogs and sausages. Staff are not dicks and the dogs are cheap and delicious. The dogs are grilled and you can get them near black if that’s the way you like ‘em…and that is the way I like ‘em. Best hot dogs in BK? Yes…

This is the hot dog/sausage capital of Brooklyn. Low on cash, only a few minutes for lunch, starving? This is your place to handle all those needs. This place gives you a hot dog/spicy sausage cheap, fast, and with toppings… i mean you’ll be in and out before you can count your change. The guys behind the counter understand that you’re not there to socialize, so they do their best to get you fed and get you out… no complaints here.

This place is great as always. but there’s a serious problem with numbskulls ordering their food and then. standing there shoveling it into their mouths right at the counter where the line is for other people waiting to order! Sipping from their drinks as if they’ve not a care in the world. Yo, the counter is not your personal dinner table, let people through so they can get their food too, dummies! This place needs to set up some tables or sawhorses or other eating surfaces outside the glass. Anything. Seriously. DO something, management!

Fulton Hot Dog King likely offers the most reasonable(and speedy) lunch in the area. It’s only $ 1.50 for a tasty grilled hot dog, and the fruit juices won’t set you back much either. This place has a devoted following, but they move people through the lines very efficiently.
