Your first time here may come as a shock — while many places in Brooklyn are 100% behind glass, the selection here is both behind glass and the counter too, so it’s tough to see what they have. They carry all the household names and not many exotic or local brands. I second the comment below about how respectful and patient the staff here is to some of the clientele who seem, well, a little off. The workers have such a great attitude! Avoid Fridays starting at 6 to keep away from the obvious alcoholics hanging around. Can’t beat the hours, either: open until 11 most nights and 12 Fridays and Saturdays. Some prices are ridiculously low(ex/I once paid $ 17.99 for a 1.75L of Bacardi) while others can creep up $ 5 or so more than the bigger places in Manhattan like Astor or Warehouse Wines.

Cause the boys in the hood are always hard… You come talking that trash they’ll pull your card. Knowing nothing in life but to be legit — Don’t quote me boy cause this joint has that good hootch shit… Only good thing about a crazy ex-girlfriend was finding this joint — they stay open till 12 any night of the week(cept Sundays for the holy folks) and the asian family that runs it are both courteous and friendly. If they know you like something they’ll get it for you and they’ll give you a good price… especially if they know you’ll be a repeat offender. Just have to ignore some of the rift raft that likes to camp out but who doesn’t carry illegal bear mace just in case?

The selection’s okay, and the people who work there are kind of awesome. The level of patience I’ve seen these guys maintain while still being respectful(and pleasant!) to even the most difficult of customers is pretty amazing. They’ve even got a surprisingly decent selection of inexpensive wines for a store that’s entirely behind glass.
