Famous Rotisserie Grill & Tex Mex Grill

No. We will never order from here again. On GrubHub, their estimated wait is 45 – 55 minutes. I know what «estimate» means, but it’s Wednesday night, and not a special night of any kind. Took twice that long, about 100 minutes (that’s 1hr 40min), and that’s *after* I called them twice to check (thought maybe he was lost). «No, no, he’s almost there!» Right. We’re about 1.5 miles away, but on a scooter, that means about 10 minutes even with traffic. He arrived 20 minutes later. The food we ordered (vegetable burrito, plain rotisserie chicken w/“garlic dill potatoes” & string beans) was mediocre at best. Veggie burrito contained veg like you would get with mu shu thrown in with rice & beans. Thought they might do something different, or more, but no, no real seasoning or anything interesting, and it was cold. Chicken was passable, but so is any rotisserie chicken you get pretty much anywhere. Red skin potatoes had some dill on them, and maybe garlic (I couldn’t taste it), but the compartment (in the FOAM tray) was about half filled with water, too, and it was very unappetizing. String beans had no seasoning, but at least they weren’t overcooked. a lot of steam condensed in the container, like maybe it sat around for a long time. Oh, and the brownie! A cellophane-​wrapped ice-​cold brownie like you’d get at any deli for $ 1. Meh. And I HATE FOAM containers. Yeah, compostable paper is slightly more expensive, but seriously, what’s the stupid delivery charge for? So, with mediocre-​to-​unappetizing food, double-​long delivery time, *plus* a $ 1.75 DELIVERY CHARGE (maybe the willingness to pay it says you’re a sucker?) makes this restaurant a definite NO. Bleh. Hope I don’t get sick like another reviewer did.

I ordered food from here on grubhub. I order their chicken and it is very good every time. I think that you just need to order the «right» food. The delivery guy is also very nice

What the hell did these people send me? It certainly wasn’t food for human consumption. I ordered the meatloaf with a side of mash potatoes and salad. I’m not even going to talk about how the salad is just a handful of iceberg lettuce and that’s all, but I will speak on this «meatloaf». They kinda got the loaf part right, a loaf of what, is the question though. It kinda looked like canned dog food with old salsa on top. The flavor was worse than canned dog food with salsa on top. And trust me, I know what canned dog food with salsa on top tastes like.

I love famous! I order it almost 3 times a week being it’s within delivery of my job. The only reason I don’t give it more stars is because the food is inconsistent.
I almost always order the salmon lunch and more than less of the time the salmon is under seasoned and the skin is soggy. I like it to be crispy.
The deliver guy is not too friendly and can take almost up to an hour to come and give me my food. I can appreciate the menu for what its worth. Much variety and great selection. I only wish they had a wider healthy selection.
I would like to see more steamed of baked fish added. I’m not too crazy about the veggies they serve either. But I guess you don’t always get what you want when you don’t cook your own food. Overall I doubt I will ever stop ordering from famous. I just make sure I order an hour before my lunch break.
