They are closed and have relocated to the Flatbush area… I gave them five stars based on my previous experiences.

I love this place. The chicken is so good and the cornbread!!! They have another location on church av which is similar and usually more busy. Fast, friendly, and delicious. Best jerk on nostrand.

This has become our go to place when we don’t feel like cooking after a long day at work. The portions are really large for the price. The mac and cheese is amazing as are the greens. My husband loves the oxtail. I don’t think we’ve had a bad meal here.

I am pleased to report that the goat curry is quite good, though sorry to say that I can’t weigh in on the plantains — they were sold out. ¡Que lastima! My roommate enjoyed the jerk chicken a lot, even though it looked funny in the serving case. So the deal is, you can’t swing a hula hoop around here without hitting a Caribbean food purveyor, so it’s got to be GOOD to stick around. Exquisite is proving itself to be worth its salt, so to speak. I want to try the plantains one day, and take a stab at the famous jerk chicken.

I enjoyed my oxtails here. They’re succulent and rich. The jerk chicken is ok, spicy, but I’ve had better. I like their macaroni and cheese but it’s too heavy to go along with their meat dishes. They give you really big portions here and the price is right. You can also pick up some movies while you’re there.

As good as it gets. Generous portions, very fair prices, and incredibly flavorful food. Cash only.

This place was a blessing in disguise. We were at another establishment when they were having issues with the POS System. I was starving so I decided to venture out in search of food. We ended up this place and it was amazing! What stood out was the«Economical Meal» at just $ 4.95. You get to choose your entrée that came with a side and rice. It was just the right amount of food. Packed with Caribbean flavor and goodness. I got the Jerk Chicken with Rice and Cabbage. I am a fan of Macaroni Salad so I got that too. They give you an entire chicken thigh so that made me happy. The chicken was juicy and tender. The Macaroni Salad was really good. It had the right amount of mayonnaise and wasn’t dry at all. I don’t know when i’m going to be back in this area, but if I am. I would definitely come back here again.

ORGASMIC I have been to Exquisite a couple of times but never to feed myself. However, this past Saturday night after my 6 hour extravaganza at the Bronx Zoo my whole Rasta family hopped in the momager(minivan) and rolled over to Exquisite for some good namings(eats). My entire family is vegetarian/pescatarian, although I am not, so they ordered the stew fish, rice and peas and cabbage medley. Since I am trying to limit my meat intake, I opted for the fish as well and it was the best decision ever! I know that succulent isn’t the most commonly used word to describe fish but this was the most succulent stew fish I ever had the pleasure of devouring. The seasoning was perfect, the gravy was tantalizing my taste buds and I found my self sucking every morsel off the fish bone until it was white! #noshame. I practically inhaled the rice and peas since it was smothered in that orgsamic gravy concoction and the veggies were crisp and delicious. The best $ 10 ever spent. The«small» size fed me for dinner that night and for lunch today. Come and enjoy the goodness that Exquisite has to offer. Just save me some of that stew fish…

The food is incredible and prices are great. Go early if you want the jerk chicken because it always sells out at a later point. They also have slices of cake for dessert.

One of the best spots on this section of Nostrand Ave! The mac n cheese is excellent. Juicy jerk chicken, well seasoned and grilled to perfection. And don’t forget to add some their tantalizing jerk sauce! You can’t go wrong with anything in this place. The fried whitings(an american classic) or the escovitch fish(a jamaican classic).Breakfast, lunch or dinner— every dish is a winner!

Wow. This is about as good as food from a steam table gets. In fact, if you didn’t see the food dished up from a steam table before your eyes you might not believe it. I was told by an old timer that this was some of the best Jamaican in the neighborhood, and I believe it. Some of what I had here was better than food I had in Jamaica. Here’s what you do: Get in line. Order a small, which comes with a protein and two sides. It makes for a large dinner or crazy big lunch. You’ll probably want to wash it down with a Ginger Beer or a Ting. We tried the following proteins: salmon(delicious, if a bit sweet — generous portion), jerk chicken(about as good as it gets without being pimento wood smoked) and the chicken curry(outstanding). I heard the mac and cheese was good, but didn’t try it. The vegetable rice was good(my wife loved it), but I preferred the rice and peas(seasoned with allspice and using red beans). The collard greens, which were the stand in for callaloo, were out of this world, seasoned with vinegar and generous chunks of(smoked?) turkey. I could have eaten a plate of just collard greens — they were that good. Our«small» plates varied from $ 7.50 for the chicken to $ 12 for the fish. Large comfortable booths easily fit a party of six. FYI, the sign for the place just says«Exquisite». It’s no lie. These good folks are not fooling around.

Delicious jerk chicken, rice and peas and mac n cheese. I order the large for $ 10 and have enough for 2 and sometimes 3 meals. You can ask for chicken curry sauce on the rice and peas and its even tastier.

if you enjoy excellent, no-frills caribbean food, exquisite offers up tubs of the stuff. get in line, point at some oxtail or curry chicken, gesture at two sides of rice-and-peas and mac-and-cheese, pay about $ 8 for a bulging container of food. it’s not brain surgery. they also play hot 97 inside, so if you want to hear«duffle bag boy» while ordering beef patties, time your visit accordingly.
