Yosef. H’s review of this place was very accurate. It is definitely not a fancy restaurant. It is very laid back. And when I came I saw comfortable seating that wasn’t fancy but it was clean. I saw a group of Jewish women celebrating a birthday in one corner with decorations and a couple eating in another. The guy at the cash register was very busy taking delivery orders and stopped to talk with me(he was very friendly) help me through the menu and take my order. The only thing was he was munching on french fries and food was flying out of his mouth as he was talking. I decided to get a Junior Burger. Honestly it was awful. I couldn’t eat it. It was served to me cold. The bun was freezing so that made the luke warm burger VERY cold as it entered my mouth. It was tasteless and awful. It was an overpriced very small hamburger that was disgusting.

This is not a fancy restaurant and you shouldn’t expect such a standard. But if you love a nice mix of American, Israeli and Chinese + sushi this is your place. Also has very respected kosher supervision.

I came in hungry at 1AM. Its good that they open until 2AM. They have a lots of food on their menu, from chinese to burgers to salads. Food portion was small for a chicken wrap and an vegi roll. I’ve tried their chinese menu before, it taste good. there is ample seating.

Kosher food = $$$$ But the food is good quality, very tasty and you simply get what you pay for. The seating area is meh. It’s set up like a fast food spot, so no waiter, although one of the cashiers usually brings your food to you. You can take your girlfriend here, but don’t propose yet. Plenty of seating room during off peak hours, but good luck getting a table when the place is at full capacity. I don’t know for certain but I’m guessing it gets busy here between 3:30pm — 8:00pm when the local jewish crowd gets home from work/school and wants to grab food before/after prayers. The customer service is pretty good. Overall 4⁄5 stars because the food and service is good, but this isn’t for the fancy crowd.

We were curious about the food at Empire Grill because they seem to make everything. Burgers, Chinese, Wraps, Burritos, Soups and Salads and even sushi! In my opinion, restaurants rarely get it ALL right when they are shooting for so many different cuisines, but they are conveniently located so we were hoping to find a winner. In my opinion, the Chinese was over-priced. $ 13 – 15 for your average dishes like fried rice and chow mien, so we avoided that part of the menu. Their steak wraps and burgers looked promising however so we tried one of each. The steak was fairly chewy/difficult to bite through and there wasn’t much of it on the wrap. We were not that impressed. I didn’t realize the Empire Burger came on a baguette, which was too bready, but the burger and pastrami and chicken finger was quite tasty. We also ordered a side of spicy fries to share and those were also good. Overall, the service was nice and fast(we were dine-in, but as some have mentioned the sitting area is nothing special and quite small) and the food was ok, so we may be back, but we won’t be regulars.

I usually try to avoid posting highly negative reviews about a place, but my experience here was so awful I had to. I called in a pickup order of their«ceaser“salad that was over $ 10.00. When I picked up the salad it was a stale and soggy tomato and cucumber salad covered in tahini(techina). When I asked for the salad to be replaced due to the stale soggy vegetables the large Israeli man behind the counter got visibly upset and began berating me. He started calling me a liar, and told me to leave. I couldn’t believe it! I was very polite and he just started getting really upset and raising his voice. He refused to give me a refund. To this day I do not eat at Empire grill. Please avoid this place. The Israeli worker treats customers in a disgusting manner. I would rather walk the extra four blocks to prime sandwitch where the food is always fresh and I have never gotten bad service. I would give zero stars if it were possible. I won’t be sad when this places closes it’s doors for good. And I won’t be surprised either.

Small & unpleasant place to dine. I would recommend To-Go or delivery, the food is great with prices to match.

Ordered delivery a bunch of times. Took over an hour tonight, so naturally the food was cold. Guy on the phone hung up when I dared to suggest a future credit!

Would have left 4 stars last month, but after years of eating at empire grill, which makes some good dishes and a pretty decent schwarma, I got terribly sick. I understand this happens at every restaurant, but it’s not an excuse.

Picture it: home, hungry, not willing to cook and nearing 11 pm. This was my Wednesday evening. I went on seamless In search of takeout option and there was barely anyplace open, until I saw Empire Grill pop up on my screen. They had a pretty varied menu and this made me happy. I ended up ordering the avocado burger and buffalo wings. The burger was delicious! The buffalo wings were not too great– small and delivered with no buffalo sauce or ranch. The delivery time ws pretty nice especially given the time. The extra bonus if this is of interest to you is the food is delivered kosher with the seals on the bag to prove it.

Sorry but I’ve had bad experiences every single time I’ve gone to Empire Grill. Bad service. Bad food. Long waits. Overall very unimpressed. Recently, I decided to give this place one last try. I waited by the counter for a long time, harassing this lazy worker by the cash(who apparently was in middle of an important cellphone call??) to take my bloody order. After about ten minutes(as I’m on the verge of walking out) he hung up and decided to take my order. I ordered a shwarma in lafa, as well as sushi. Unfortunately, the lafa bread and the veggies were both soggy and the meat was very fatty and hard to chew. Then, when I didn’t think it could get any worse, I found a long strand of hair in my shwarma lafa and I just threw out the entire plate and moved onto the sushi. The sushi wasn’t any better though, it was falling apart(clearly, no effort went into it’s making). I will definitely not be returning to Empire Grill again. PS) Gordon Ramsey should do a ‘Kitchen Nightmares’ episode here. I’m not kidding.

*Deep fried sampler review* My first experience with Empire Grill was a deliver call. The guy who took the order spoke clearly and understood my order pretty well. When I asked for an ETA for delivery,(with a modest 2 person order) he said 40 min… Not to bad… More on this later… The best thing about this place is the on-line menu and ordering! DON’T BESCARED their on-line ordering system rivals Seemless web. Here is my order: 1 Chicken Roll: $ 4.63 1 Beef Roll: $ 4.63 1 Soda The Soda: Dr Pepper: $ 1.36 1 Soda The Soda: Coke: $ 1.36 1 Mixed Fries Dish Size: Large: $ 4.36 1 Home Nuggets 5 PCs: $ 6.53 Subtotal: $ 22.87 Shipping and Handling Fee: 0.00 Tax Total: $ 1.86 Total: $ 24.73 Everything we ordered was delicious and exactly what you would expect from the images on their website( ). I look forward to ordering from here in the very near future, because remember that 40 min ETA on deliver well it came in 35 min! With everything still piping hot!
