Working from home, and not able to cook, decided to browse around Seamless. El Ranchito looked ok. I drove by the place few times in past without thinking much about them. So, went ahead and ordered. Ordered tacos and quesadilla. Not exactly complex items. And now, while typing this up, I am craving for more. Tacos had a wonderful mix of flavors. Sweetness of a pineapple, tangy sauce, great meat, and everything just worked wonders together. Quesadilla, while somewhat messy in the delivery box, was wonderful. Had a bit of a spicy side, but not overpowering, complimented the dish well. Lettuce on top with some farmers cheese soothed down spiciness(which was not big anyway) Seamless quoted me 60 – 70 minute delivery. Delivery guy showed up under 30, pleasantly surprising me. Overall, I really loved the food. I am not a picky eater, but been around restaurant industry in my previous job. Food was great. Delivery guy was friendly. Prices are reasonable. Will definitely order again.

Like other reviewers have said, this is an authentic Mexican place. Their burrito is huge. I think it’s only a tad smaller or at least the same size as Chipotle’s burritos. It’s so great to have a place like this in the neighborhood because when I’m craving Mexican food, I usually order from those Americanized places. It doesn’t quite hit the spot like I want it to. Now I have found this place, I’m definitely converted. The delivery experience is pleasant here too. The deliveryman does not have a scowl on his face. It’s all in all a great experience.

I’m giving El Ranchito only four stars only because I’ve only eaten one item there so far, their veggie burrito. And it was SUPERB. Gigantic, with super fresh-tasting ingredients, nicely-cooked beans and rice and a perfect blend of flavors. I got takeout, and this really isn’t a place to go with a date or really to sit and eat unless you’re in a rush, although they have a few rickety tables in the back that are more for waiting than enjoying a meal. It’s like one of those Mexican bakeries where you order at a counter. The young woman who served me told me it was family-run and owned, and I like supporting that. My husband and I don’t eat meat so we can’t partake of the entire menu, but I noticed the meat-free options are highlighted in green on the menu so I appreciated that nod to non-carnivores. A great addition to a neighborhood that is starting to have some serious Mexican options. Just make sure you don’t confuse it with the loathsome New Fresh Tortillas Taco on the same block!

Absolutely love the family that owns the place. I live close by and I usually get a chance to stop by on the weekends to get some of their delicious food. Whenever I order something, there chef/owner let’s me in on a few suggestions on how he can make it taste better. I just stand and continuously nod my head because at the end I know I’ll be left super happy and full.

El Ranchito opened up about 6 or 7 months ago. It’s an authentic Mexican spot which now has our loyalty. As you open the door and get a whiff your taste buds are awakened and ready to go. You will find delicious Tortas, Tacos, Huaraches and the most filling and delicious quesadillas made with handmade corn tortillas stuffed with your choice of meat/filling, topped with lettuce, grated cheese & white Mexican cream. I always request as an extra avocado slices on top which to me go perfect, all topped with their fresh homemade green(guacamole) sauce as the final touch and your taste buds are in heaven.(their red sauce is awesome too but my spicy level is not there yet) They also have daily lunch specials which make each lunch time a bit difficult as one never knows which to go for. But no matter what you pick it’s delish! Their menu is really all worth a try. It has all the products found in a deli plus all the goodies from a Mexican store and more. Freshly made fruit juices, fruit cups, Mexican desserts including Flan and Jello’s, fresh daily breads and excellent coffee and yes they also make Ice-Coffee. This all includes excellent speedy service and smiles from the owners who are a young Mexican couple who speak both English and Spanish so language is not a barrier and your orders will always be understood. We will definitely keep coming back. I give this place 5 stars and wish them the best of luck…

I’m giving El Ranchito 5 stars based solely on its food and customer service. Solid. Simply solid Mexican food cooked to order, no frills, just good eats. El Ranchito is a local hole in the wall with tasty, quality tacos. There is a simple setup of chairs and small tables in the back of the store, but we usually pick up our order and eat at home. From the outside, you can’t tell they are a restaurant. Instead, they look like a Mexican convenience store, but you’ll find«El Ranchito» dotting the upper left corner of the sign, and if you catch a whiff when the doors swings open/close, your nose will tell you you’ve found ‘em. Everytime I come, I order the bistec tacos. The hubs is in love with their chorizo tacos, claiming: «the chorizo tacos are so flavorful that the bistec tacos taste bland.» Either way, their tacos are AWESOME and the ingredients fresh. Their order of 3 is more than enough to fill you up if you’ve got a regular appetite; my hubs ate 6 so you may want to double it if you’re a guy. Great prices as well. We ordered a total of 9 tacos, and the total was less than $ 20. We’re already regulars to this spot, and will continue to come here every time we are craving some tasty Mexican food. Can’t wait to try out the other items on their menu(posted in the pictures).

Authentic Mexican joint with authentic Mexican cooked food and groceries. It’s family run, and everyone I’ve dealt with has been very nice and pleasant. I recommend trying the handmade quesadilla. It’s nothing like the flour tortillas with cheese that you are used to. It’s more like a rolled out thick cornmeal bread stuffed with whatever meat you choose, topped with lettuce, crumbled cheese. Very filling and delicious. I also recommend the tortas. The chorizo is good, but a tad spicy for my heartburn vulnerable stomach, so I go for the carnitas. Also very filling and delicious. Lastly, a pleasant surprise — their coffee beans are from Brooklyn Roasters! I happen to see the can on their shelf behind the counter today and inquired. Sadly, most people getting coffee there probably don’t appreciate this perk, unless they are in the know with coffee roasters. If you are in the area, check it out! Seating is limited.

This place opened about a month or so ago in a space that was a Polish grocery. It is a traditional Mexican grocery with many products but it is also makes many Mexican dishes including Tacos, Tortas, Tamales and features different cooked platters each day. I had the Al Pastor Torta, I developed a love of Al Pastor from the taco trucks in Bushwick and while its not on that level its still a pretty good version. The Torta was huge with that soft Mexican roll stuffed with the tasty pork, tomatoes, lettuce, onions, avocado, jalapenos, cheese and mayo. It was a bargain for 6.50 and was a delicious lunch. The service was fast and friendly and they speak English so no language issues. I will be making this a regular stop. Welcome to the Neighborhood.
