I was considering giving this a 2 star rating but honestly I don’t want to be those obnoxious people that whine like babies. I ordered 2 eggs over easy with 2 decent sized sausage patties and home fries. Unfortunately the food wasn’t that good. It was too oily and I felt like I was swallowing grease most of the time. I suppose the waffles are the only thing that’s edible here but I’m not so much into waffles as much as I enjoy pancakes. I don’t think I’ll return here, however, I might refer it to anyone that is a waffle lover. The space is small and I can see how seating might be an issue, although I didn’t have that problem at all. The inside of this place looks like a deli which doesn’t compliment the cool red awning outside. Best Pro: the price Worst Con: they recieve a «B» from DOH

This is one of the very few places that make breakfast in my neighborhood and it tastes great, but after becoming a regular customer the chef would over cook my waffles or there would be raw mix in my waffle and I had to go back and ask him to remake it. He would do it without an issue, but I felt he got too comfortable with me as a customer he thought I would eat the waffle as is. The staff is friendly, it’s clean, but you’re waiting a while during the morning rush as there is only one person making all that food.

There are two breakfast items that are trying to become mainstream lunch and dinner items: waffles and crepes(yes, I know the French view crepes the same way we view sandwiches… and likewise the Belgians and their waffles, but I’m taking about mainstream America) This place is an example of why waffles won’t make it. I had the Empire(Nutella and bacon). Competently done, but not particularly noteworthy. The problem is that crepes are little more than packaging, so you can focus on the toppings. Waffles are more substantial, so if they’re not perfect, they detract from the dish. These waffles were about average for diner quality waffles. They could have been crisper(a personal preference that I won’t mark them down for), and the bacon was again standard dinner quality bacon. The saving grace is that the same meal at a diner would cost you twice as much.

I am always here ordering the junction I get the waffles with egg and bacon and omgggg is it good. The guy who makes my waffles is okay sometimes he seems a little busy like one time he said my order will take long because I added another order and he was already making a few orders but my order was done quick I totally understand him because every time I go there he is the one who makes my breakfast and Is oh so worth the wait

Horrible customer service, pretty good food! Went in around 130 pm to get waffles for my friend and I, ordered the waffle with brown sugar and egg. I was told I couldn’t order that because it was a breakfast waffle 0_o. Really? I asked which waffles were available, the cashier told me all of them, except that one. Then he just stared at me. Ended up getting two other waffles which were pretty good.

Doowop Griddle wasn’t exactly what I was expecting. I decided to venture out of my comfort zone and completely choose a new breakfast spot to sit and enjoy my breakfast by utilizing Unilocal. There are zero tables to sit and only 4 high chairs against the wall seating available. Very unfortunate set up to enjoy a peaceful morning to eat breakfast. This place is a 100% get your breakfast and go. There was nothing special about the breakfast as I chose the waffles with eggs, bacon and brown sugar. I couldn’t even taste the brown sugar. The food tasted very plain and not to flavorful. I will not be back.

As a local resident and a regular customer of the store, this place never fails to satisfy my palate. I tried most of their selections and I have to say all of them were great. My favorite choices consists of waffles specifically strawberry fields, the chicken salad, all of the wraps and sandwiches. And also, not to mention reasonable price! The place is small but efficient to eat in or take out. Polite customer service but with a minor downside of the store closing early at 5pm, but that’s because the place is more of a breakfast/lunch oriented eatery so try to stop by earlier if you want to have some of their goods! :D

Ate a good strawberry Nutella waffle here, it’s not anything amazing but it was enjoyable. That’s all there is to say.

Great waffles. Very filling. Always allowed to customize and prices are very reasonable. Also had a salad and wrap from here. Neither time did they disappoint. The cleanliness is questionable but I always watch as my food is being prepared.

Came here for a grilled chicken salad after not finding any other place to go in the vicinity. The salad was fresh, however, not the chicken. It was hard & not tender. Felt as if I was chewing on a rock. Could be that the chicken was not fresh or frozen minutes before I ordered. Applebees across the street could’ve been a better choice.

This will be the only place I ever get waffles from ever again. Best. Waffles. Ever. I ordered a butter and sugar waffle. It was so soft and sooooo yummy. My friend ordered the Cherie Amour waffle. It looked incredible and he raved that it was delicious. The staff is friendly and the food was ready really quickly. We are waiting on our second waffle as I write this =D . If you’re ever in the mood for waffles. This is the only place to get them. Our second waffle is ready !! g2g lol

I’ve been coming here recently whenever I got a taste for waffles. I got a waffle maker at home and can make some good waffles too but I don’t mind coming here instead. The owner is Asian and the cook is Latino, a symbol of working class minorities in Flatbush! I fit in already! The Asian woman at the register is nice and the cook is cool too. That is very important to me in terms of service. They are attentive and get your order in, make it, serve it up, and do it it all in a good manner. Lets get to business; the Waffles! Okay, I got the strawberry & Nutella waffle with a cup of coffee. The price is not bad and it’s a good serving of nutella and strawberries. The waffle is also light and airy. I would prefer it a little more crispy but I did not tell them that. I’m sure they can cook it longer. If you are in the neighborhood, please check this place out for breakfast. I am sold on their waffles and will come back for more! BTW had the coffee too and it was solid!

Doowop griddle is the place to go for a truly hearty breakfast. It’s like one of these cool new gentrifying food spots mixed with your local bodega. They offer a variety of cold and hot sandwiches, but their special is their waffles. I had the, I think it was called the doowop supreme waffle, which was a waffle made with jalapeño and cheddar cheese. It came with 3 fried chicken drumsticks. It was well cooked, well seasoned and delicious. The spicy jalapeño in the waffle was a good contrast to the sweetness of the syrup. I’ll definitely be back soon.

Ok it’s a store front first off. I walked in and walked out. One man on the griddle and one woman at the register. 5 stools against two walls. Not inviting. I sat in the amazing window seat and saw pretty Flatbush ave lol. I ordered the junction a waffle with bacon and egg on top. Seriously it was dee lish ous Crispy tasty and a great meal. The woman served it in aluminum container and so easy to eat there. I paid 6.00 for coffee and breakfast in a not so hip but very real waffle house ! I would go back

The service is friendly and prices are good, but I thought the food was only decent. I got the waffle with bacon and Nutella. The waffle itself didn’t have much taste and the Nutella was a little skimpy. The bacon was bacon. There aren’t tables, only some stools at a shallow counter. And the aluminum container they served the waffle in was hard to cut and eat the waffle out of with plastic utensils. Next time I’ll go to a diner.

I ordered a Strawberry Fields. Consisting of Nutella and strawberries on a massive waffle with powdered sugar. It was dangerously delicious BUT soggy! I hate soggy waffles. A little crunch on the edges would’ve been nice but the whole thing was just a chewy messy. I definitely want to go back to try what I had again. Prices are good to go though!

Try the Waffles you will not be disappointed! I tried pretty much all of them and they are to die for. The Owner is very nice and the Cook knows his stuff. I recommended this place better than Nostrand Express down the street near Avenue H. They are going to start selling Salads in Bowls which are also very good.
