Danny what happened to you!!! Always had amazing pizza until you tried to expand and make a restaurant/bar combo thing. Why? Pizza still crispy but sauce and cheese are lacking. Decent pizza for the piece. Special slices about $ 3.50 or so

I have found some wonderful pizza in Bushwick and that is such a hard thing to find, but here it is at Danny’s. The guys working behind the counter are fast and friendly; they treat you like loyal customers and family when you come in and can tell they really value your business. They have a nice menu and decent variety of slices. The pies always look fresh, not like they’ve been sitting out for days, and the prices are good for the size. The line moves quick and it’s open late hours and in a really convenient location. This is my usual stop for dinner on my way to the rehearsal studio that’s just around the corner, where I’m at every week. Definitely need to check this place out if you are a pizza fanatic like myself.

Delicious New York pizza. The service was fast and the guys working behind the counter were quite friendly. I highly recommend to anyone in the area.

A good turn-to lunch spot, conveniently located at the top of the steps to the Montrose Avenue station on the L train. Fresh, tasty pizza with some good variety on the menu and in their slices.

I love ordering here and I don’t like saying bad things about restaurants I like but today was the worst. It took an hour for delivery and they had the whole order wrong. My mother ordered a small pie, three buffalo chicken, two sausage with bacon bits on it and a plain slice. Apparently the person who took the order didn’t listen very well to the numbers of the card that was being said to him or her. Called back 45 minutes later saying it wasn’t working so we had to say it extra slow. The order comes 15 minutes later and comes to find out the delivery person had our small but also had a large pie we never ordered and charged us for an order we never said to do. My mother went downstairs and the delivery person was being very rude while explaining that we only had one pie. My mother didn’t tip him because of his rudeness. We open the box we originally ordered and there was no ranch or the white sauce they put on the chicken and there were no bacon bits on the sausage slices. I’m only giving one because the pizza was good this time but other than that the delivery and service was horrible.

I hate writing negative reviews, but this one just seemed too egregious to go by without comment. Imagine you and your boyfriend have just returned to New York from Tokyo after two weeks in Japan, eating nothing but noodles and octopi and raw fish and weird matcha snacks. You’ve been traveling for over 24 hours with no sleep and nothing but airplane food to eat, and you’re starving. What should you order to celebrate your glorious return to America?, you ask one another on the taxi ride home from LGA. How about a burger? Some fries? Nah. PIZZA. And so, exhausted, jet lagged and craving something fatty, salty and cheesy, we logged onto Seamless and ordered a large pepperoni pizza from Danny’s Pizzeria in Bushwick. We were virtually vibrating with excitement about this calorie-bomb of Americana deliciousness, but our happiness was short lived as the clock continued to tick by, our stomachs growling and our doorbell unrung. After about an hour(estimated delivery time was 30 minutes), we called the restaurant. We get it, running a business is stressful and orders can get mixed up or forgotten in the chaos. We don’t mind a bit of an extra wait if a genuine mistake has been made. But SURPRISE! The number doesn’t work. Neither does the number on Google. We then contacted Seamless, where a very nice representative told us she had«alternative» methods of contacting the restaurant. A few minutes later, she called us back, saying that the manager refused to do anything about the lateness of our order. She generously offered to give us 15% discount on Seamless’ end though. Danny’s Pizzeria had assured us/Seamless that the order was still on its way, though, so we waited. And waited. And waited. After two hours, we gave up and went to the bodega around the corner, where we got bagels and rugelach, which is even MORE New York than pizza, so suck it. The baffling awfulness of my experience at Danny’s — where I have had pretty good pizza before, by the way, though never ordered online — has altered some fundamental part of my being, shredded the space-time-pizza continuum, ripped a hole in my understanding on the universe. The one question I simply cannot answer: In NYC, a city where you can have cookies delivered to your door, how do you fuck up PIZZA, the OGOFDELIVERY? Even in towns that give directions based on the location of an Applebee’s, you can get pizza delivered. After a full two hours, we called Seamless to let them know what had happened, and they then attempted once again to contact Danny’s. When they called us back, the representative said she simply couldn’t get in touch with them at all. I don’t get it! Is Danny’s a mob front? A money laundering scheme that just happens to make dece pizza on the side(but not deliver it)? WE’RESOCONFUSED, SAD, PIZZA-LESS. At the time of this writing, it has been almost 3 hours since we ordered the pizza. It has not arrived. On the plus side, our bagels hit the fuckin’ spot.

Ordered food from here yesterday through the seamless app. I got an email that it would be 35 – 45 minutes and the delivery guy called me in 25 minutes that he was outside! I was starving so i was so happy. I ordered the 16 $ large pie with 2 liter soda deal and he gave me 2 $ back because they ran out of soda. I’m not a soda person so I didn’t mind. I also ordered garlic knots and they didn’t come with marinara sauce, which is a must with garlic knots. That’s my only minor complaint. Other than that the pizza was fresh and tasty. I’ve eaten here before just before I was a Unilocaler so I just had to give them a shout out :).

They’ve been serving up slices at Danny’s since before I was born, let alone when I moved to the neighborhood five years ago. Despite living two blocks away, the presence of Danny’s sister restaurant a generally faded exterior meant that I only had a my first two slices last week. Turns out I wasn’t missing a hidden gem. I was a semi-regular at Danny’s II during my first two years in the neighborhood, but the arrival of more(and better) options through that place out of rotation. Williamsburg Pizza is a truly fantastic option, while Roberta’s and Forcella’s are just a quick walk. Even Evil Olive’s is serves a much better slice with a better atmosphere. I’m no traditionalist, so I no need reason for places like this to slide by on their longevity. This is New York, where creativity sometimes must come with disruption. There’s no need for this pizza, too thick and without a hint of char on the bottom, to be held up as anything more than mediocre. Things don’t improve with toppings. For some people, this place might stir up memories of late nights past. For me, I’ll go back to ignoring it when getting on the subway.

We had the veggie personsal pizza for my wife and I. Really hit the spot. We were looking for something light. We topped it off with a beer. Perfect. The restaurant is very cozy. They have a bar and good music

Dannys staff have taken care of me for the past 6years! My usual steak & cheese panini is a great deal and you can’t go wrong with their pizza. They even serve gluten free options for those that usually can’t eat a pizza… Sometimes it’s really busy, but that must mean they’re doing something right!

Just ordered a pepperoni slice and a regular slice as soon as I walked in. There’s a new young guy working behind the counter who was eating food. He finished eating and didn’t wash his hands. After he finished stuffing his face he rubbed his face a few times while helping customers and touching their food. This guy is a nasty pig and shouldn’t be working in the food industry. Danny’s just lost a long time customer.

No need to read some«best of NYC blabla«shit, its all about pizza. Ubergigantic pizza, great choice, danny is nice. Péroni beer is all you need. Cheap. Impossible to finish a médium pizza. I ll be back!

My girlfriends and I came here(wasted) after Tiki Disco @ the Well… We were very obnoxious and needy, but Kelly(it was her first day) really helped us out. She was great! The food was amazing too. We all ordered a different type of personal pie, and shared an order of mozzarella sticks and calamari! The sauce on the calamari was on point… We also ended our meal with the tiramisu and coffee — yum! Thanks again Kelly for being so patient!

The worst customer service ever! I order from there once a week. Never had a problem… but recently there was a finger nail in my pie. An entirely clipped nail! Unfortunately I had to spit it out to discover what it was. Needless to say, I was instantaneously sick. I called them to let them know and I was accosted by the person on the other end. I even offered to send a photo. I was told I was lying and trying to get a free pie. Are you kidding me?! A person that orders so frequently would not lie to you idiots! Nevertheless, after my pointless conversation with the guy(which was cosigned by danny himself) I will never order there again and I urge you to do the same. I work in hospitality and the restaurant industry. This treatment is absurd! I will at least report them to the department of health just you decide to take a chance and eat there! I strongly suggest against.

A good neighborhood pizza joint whether you’re feeling lazy and want a pizza delivered to you, or you’re heading out and want a slice while you walk. It’s so close to the station, you can’t really walk and go, you can just stand outside and eat. The pizza is good, they don’t skimp on cheese or sauce, which I like. I shared a large cheese with a couple of roommates and it really hit the spot! I also had a slice to go and that, I thought, was much better. More crisp crust with a good chew. Is this the best slice in NY? For me, no. But it’s a nice local Brooklyn pizza joint.
