Cute spot, but overrun with squawking teens from the nearby school. If you’re over 21, or don’t want to hear«OMG that’s so GAY» squealed ad nauseam, the place is best avoided in the afternoon. On a side note, WiFi isn’t a rare and precious resource, so don’t time-restrict it.

Nice place but be prepared for it to be overrun by high school-aged youths(I.e., this is not a place for those interested in doing work).

This place is really a neighborhood gem, of the old Brooklyn sort(not the newer, hipster, Greene Grape Annex kind). I love doing work here. The beignets are unbelievably delicious. They’re not on the menu but they’ll make them any time. This place has been here for over 100 years and it’s family owned – you’ll see the owner come in from time to time(sometimes with his wife, I think?) and talk with all the staff like they’re his family. 2-hour wifi so that you make the most of your time here(and you can just re-sign-in again, I think). Outlets. Good background music too. Highly recommend.

The breakfast wrap was pretty good. It was not the cheapest in the area, but it did the job. Unfortunately the brownie was a bit stale and definitely not fresh. This is a cute place that has a lot of potential.

It has that café theme that’s a little overdone, but that doesn’t mean it isn’t comfortable. The brownies are out of this world. The chocolate chip cookie is ok, not enough flavor and much too crumbly. All and all a fine way to for forget the world for half an hour.

This place started out great with such promise but went downhill fast. Now it’s just overpriced, mediocre and saved by a great location across from Fort Greene Park and Brooklyn Tech HS. The bread selection keeps getting smaller and smaller. If you’re going to put Cammereri in the name, that’s just bad marketing. Food– and coffee-wise, they don’t do anything that you can’t get better, faster, cheaper or cleaner(consistent B Board of Health rating or worse) nearby on Dekalb, Lafayette or Fulton. Pluses: location, décor and bathroom.

On a cold day like today all I asked was a cup of hot chocolate, a simple and tasty drink. However once the order was given, all I got was frothy milk with a whole lot of water. Apparently the machine was not working properly and so why would you serve this to your customer. Yes it’s a drink but it would’ve made my day. But instead got a cup of bubbly watery milk.

Recommended by a co-worker for all its delectables but was disappointed when my food didn’t arrive after 30 minutes, including a blueberry muffin. The muffin was dry like cornbread and the blueberries were tough. The eggplant rollatini, however, was delicious but burnt on the edges. Perfect small breakfast-sized portion though. The chai latte was absolutely delicious as well as the dirty chai latte which included a shot of espresso. Loved the cute décor inside although not all of it matched. Seating is ample inside and out. Perfect corner location with quick access to the park.

I had the ice coffee with my friend and it was the best thing ever! Not only was the Bartsia really nice but he even made my coffee to my liking and it wasn’t a big deal!(I have had my share of bartsias making a fuss about making my drink to my liking.) I will definitely be going back as soon as possible!

Everything about this place is mediocre and ordinary. The coffee is meh, the pastries are not even a step up from Entenmann’s, and the waitstaff is out of their mind – literally, because for the second time they kept forgetting my order. They can’t handle the crowd I think. The wifi is the worst, you can’t even get a signal and can’t use your 4g because there’s almost no service reception there. It also lacks any type of character: What does this place serve? is it a coffee shop or a diner? It has muffins and mac and cheese and mousakka and meatballs and salads and paninis? Not doing anything fine, yet trying to serve a bit of everything.

they have outdoor seating as well, therefore I visited because I had my shih tzu, that’s a huge plus. I had the latte and husband had the cappuccino. and they had huge oatmeal cookie’s for 1.50, they were tasty. What was great, there was no long line. The price was good too. I’ill def check out more of the menu. now I know it’s right by fort greene park and I can easily take back to the park.

I used to stop by Cammareri Café on my way to work. I like their coffee and the barista who was usually there to serve me(I believe her name was Dani) was extremely kind. Now that I work remotely, I wanted to get a brief change of scenery from home so I decided earlier this week to head to Cammareri for a more extended stay. Unfortunately, I don’t think it will become a routine thing. First of all, I don’t care how packed it gets, it should not take a café 30 minutes to prepare its simple menu items. I ordered a coffee and their caprese panini, and because it was packed I waited and tried to work while drinking my coffee, but the wi-fi was down! Fortunately, I had a book so I read while I continued to wait. Finally, after I noticed that people who were on line after me got their food, I went up to the counter to inquire about my order, and learned that they had forgotten my order! But the barista was apologetic, and offered me a free cookie and coffee refill and promised that my order would be prepared immediately. I took my refill, and told her I would consider the cookie for later. I waited another 10 – 15 minutes to receive my order. The caprese panini is supposed to come with a house salad and chips, but when it came, there were no chips. At this point I was so hungry, I didn’t care(and, with spring here and much warmer weather on the horizon, perhaps it’s best). The panini and salad were good, though, and I did get the cookie before I left(oops, so much for spring being here!). Between the messed up order, slow service, and the non-existent wi-fi, I think I’ll just stick to my coffee-to-go and return home, or try the myriad other cafes in the area.

Cute little corner coffee shop across the Fort Greene Park. Nice workers. Can get crowded but people seem to come in and out so theres usually room. Small seating available and stools by the window to sit down at. I enjoyed my little hour experience here enjoying my fresh warm pretty big croissant, cappuccino which cost me $ 6.00 and enjoy my kindle.

Was overcharged for a medium café au lait(2.45 instead of the advertised 2.25). When I asked about it the barista lied and said 2.45 included tax. So I asked why I was taxed twice, pointing to the tax line at the bottom of my receipt. The other barista came over and said the board stating the price was wrong(and didn’t bother to correct it). I pointed out that’s false advertising & illegal and they shrugged. And, then I watched as they did it to another guy maybe 10 minutes later(not having changed the board or telling him). Can you imagine if Starbucks was routinely overcharging customers? Just because they’re small doesn’t make it cute. As I was writing this review they finally changed the board, but you have to wonder what else is incorrect. Buyer beware.

I was so amped to try their beignet. Then I was so upset that I had paid for their beignet. The beignet wasn’t airy at all and I was sorry that I had asked for it without powdered sugar. I asked for the sugar after one bite, but it still didn’t help. They had a limit on laptop time, even though the place was kind of empty. I wouldn’t have bothered to order anything if I had known, and I guess I’m the kind of customer Cammareri is trying to keep from buying one item and sitting there for hours.

Stopped in here the other morning and WOW. I am so glad I did. I had a great cup of coffee(cheap too!) and one of the best muffins I’ve ever had(apple cinnamon I believe). I just wish it was closer to me!

There are so many reasons why I love Cammareri. 1. Location-It’s so close to my work that I can hop off the LIRR and head here along the way. It’s also situated right along Fort Greene Park which makes for a beautiful sight. And lastly, it’s not in a high traffic-y area so there’s never really a long line to wait on. 2. Their Food-I think that’s a given. Their offerings(breakfast, lunch and drinks) are of the highest quality and I’ve never been disappointed. My absolute favorite being the Oatmeal. I know what you’re thinking… how could oatmeal be THAT good? Trust me. It is. For $ 4, you get this hugeee portion filled with spices(cinnamon, clove, dark sugar) plump raisins and there’s definitely a touch of heavy cream in there. It’s quite rich/decadent for a breakfast item! I don’t think I’ve ever finished the entire thing. It’s a wonderful way to start your day. I have to note that their Eggplant Parm and Breakfast Sandwiches are also on par. 3. Service-What a nice bunch of people. Even bright and early, they have smiles on their faces. One day last week I came in a bit late for bkfast and ordered my oatmeal. He said there was only enough for like ¾ of the container and said that I could pick anything else to get my money’s worth. So I chose an Apple Turnover. How sweet of him! He didn’t even charge me anything extra. This little spot is worth the visit. Their small, intimate space is perfect for a date or even when you’re flying solo. I bring my book here sometimes and it’s quiet enough that I can relax on my lunch break. Inside is cozy and welcoming. Even if you can’t stay long, grab-and-go right over to the park!

Adorable coffee shop with more than decent food. Friendly service, good space, the most perfect lighting, and excellent music. Coffee, food, and everything else is certainly above average!

When the moon… whoa…what an interesting spot for another Cammareri Bros. bakery– this corner spot is vintage looking with the usual sandwiches, quiches and also pasta, eggplant parm. and meatball sliders. Guess what bread the sliders and sandwiches are on– bingo! For the price of food at the Brooklyn Flea, we sat down in this charming spot. and for $ 3.00 each had two meatball sliders and an eggplant parm sandwich-$ 5.50. My eggplant parm sandwich(skin on) on the Cmmareri Bros. roll was slammin’. Classic, old school sandwich. Tap water in a glass… and no carriages bumping into you like at the Flea… extremely cool vintage bathroom w/faux window… ahhhh– great stuff!
