This is a wonderful 160-year-old store in Brooklyn Heights that features handmade, locally-made craft items and treats.(They out-Etsy Etsy in that respect.) Of course, I got some«Spoil Me Rotten» dog cookies for my spoiled dog, and for checking in, I got a cake of Gardener’s Soap. I’m so happy that I walk Olive so close to this place; I’ll definitely be stopping in more in the future.

This ilittle shop has to be the best-kept secret in Brooklyn. it’s a little off the beaten path and they don’t advertise, so you won’t find it unless you already know its there. I always find amazing gifts here, especially for babies but I’ve gotten great jewelry here as well as gorgeous things for the home. Handmade one-of-a-kind items, volunteer-staffed(most of the selling price goes to the artisan) by neighborhood women– I’m a regular shopper, ever since I bought my niece her first smocked dress there.(the smocking was done in the shape of little ducks and my sister has it wrapped in tissue paper for her future grandchildren! Heirlooms of the future!) The place is a delight.

The greatest store. It’s all handmade stuff that’s beautiful and cute besides! The artists are local and the pieces are completely reasonable. Can’t resist buying something when I stop by. Location is a tad remote but great to combine a trip to Brooklyn heights or promenade. Support the local artisans!

The most delightful store – I have bought probably a dozen items for friends with new babies — little hand-knit sweaters and the prices are completely reasonable. There is a great selection of children’s books, locally made chocolates, really beautiful pottery. And the volunteers who work there are so helpful. It’s like Etsy, only you can see and touch everything in person.

They have a lot of really nice pieces by local artists. So many of the items in this shop make for great gifts, often when i’m completely stuck on what to get someone I’ll stop by here and find something cute, or funny, or creative. They especially have great holiday themed stuff. The women who work here are all really nice. They are closed on Mondays, and they are closed from mid-June to mid-September. You can check their site for more info.
