Hands down really good food. When ever i get here i order the Jerked Seitan and a cup of coffee!!! There salad selection is huge. I tired the vegan coleslaw and it was the bombdiggidy.

There’s a rude girl who looks like Buddha that works at the counter. She makes getting a bagel unenjoyable. She shouldn’t work with customers at all. Other than her this place is ok.

Great food, nice people working. The owner is one of the nicest business owners in the neighborhood that I’ve met. It gets busy on weekends, sure, so I can see how some people can get frustrated. Best juice and smoothies at great prices. I love the Standard Lox bagel personally, and their house-made Deli Mac is bomb. Love this place.

Decent little spot in Greenpoint with plentiful veggie options. My favorite is the Cali bagel, but let’s be real here — how in the world can you call this a Cali bagel and not have avocado on it? It needs avocado on it. I begrudgingly order mine with avocado on it for a nominal fee. It is delicious. My roommate ordered delivery breakfast from here once, and they delivered it to the wrong apartment complex. Luckily we were able to quickly resolve the issue(not because Brooklyn Standard re-delivered it, but because the person they DID deliver it to noticed the error and walked to our apartment to right their wrong) but honestly the breakfast was not good. She ordered the breakfast platter and it was really sad looking, and even sadder tasting. Even if it had been delivered a few minutes earlier, resulting in the food being a few degrees warmer, I cannot say this is something I would ever, ever order again. I suggest skipping out on delivery if you live close enough to walk.

What is up with the snotty distain? It’s not my honor to order from you. I don’t get it. One dude is nice… ONEDUDE. The dude with highlights in his hair. He’s nice, though also suffers from the perma stoned attitude they all seem to have. Who hires for you? Terry Richardson? I don’t get it. It’s not a theme park of rudeness – this ain’t fun for us. You’re giving Greenpioint a seriously bad wrap.

I order delivery from here almost everyday and the food is amazing! Delivery is also prompt and pleasant. Great spot!

They consistently get my sandwich wrong, and rush me to make a selection so they can cash out faster. The girl at the counter is rude unless she knows you personally. I’m ready to take my business elsewhere. Their coffee is often burnt.

Best vegan sandwiches, Better than some all-vegan places. One of the things I miss most now that I’m out of Greenpoint.

Go to the Standard if you want to wait 30 minutes for a bacon, egg and cheese on a bagel, only to open it and find they forgot bacon. The service at the Standard is shockingly slow when they are busy and when it is quiet. There is almost always something wrong with the order. Last week, I called ahead for a Bahn Mi, still had to wait 20 minutes once I arrived, and the sandwich tasted like they had thrown together some old left overs. I always regret going to the Standard and really hope another bagel/sandwich shop opens in the neighborhood.

Not a fan of any of their food, it’s pretty gnarly(from staleness, quality of freshness in veggies and lumps in their house made hummus) but it was nice that they used to deliver juices + smoothies late night. They should bring it back.

This place looks promising from the outside but any time I decide to give it another shot I’m always disappointed. The service is rude and the breakfast dishes I’ve had are seriously lacking. The«Breakfast Platter» looks like something you would get served in prison and probably doesn’t taste much better. $ 8 for what looks like 1 scrambled egg and some sad frozen sausage. The only thing that saves it from 1 star is the juice bar in the back.

I can’t comment on how it is for take-out but the food is decent in person, if you’re willing to wait. The service was terrible– I wanted to order more but the girl behind the counter made me feel so hurried with her ‘can’t be bothered by anything’ attitude that I stopped wanting to talk to her. She got a couple orders mixed up and at some point the cook told her one of the orders was ready, to which she actually yelled, «I don’t care!» This place is filled with smug and the only reason they’re in business is that they’ve capitalized well on the vegan juice and coffee market. There are other places that are faster, cheaper and much more welcoming.

Eh this place could do better. Service sometimes sucks but the food is ok and drinks are good. Come here when I’m just trying to have an easy night

I received an order of expired hummus, got incredibly sick and then when I called to tell the restaurant they insisted I was wrong. I have been ordering from this place once a week for at least a year, they just lost a loyal customer and all they had to do was listen and rectify the situation. Worst. Service. Ever.

Stump town coffee, fresh juice and smoothies, an entire menu of vegan sandwiches, vegan bagels, and vegan grocery items. They also have a huge selection of vegan treats-cakes, cookies, cupcakes, and even Dunwell donuts! It’s great to see so many vegan options in one place. Everything I have eaten here has been fantastic. The Cali bagel and BQE Sandwich were both excellent-flavorful, fresh ingredients, and reasonably priced. The fresh juices are bomb. They accept credit cards and don’t have a minimum. The girl always working the counter initially seems really rude but the more you talk to her she is actually really cool. I figure, I’d be pretty grumpy too if I worked at a sandwich shop. I love this place and want to come here every day forever.

Oh man. I’ve been going to this place for years. I’ve watched bk standard grow and get busier alongside the neighborhood. Over the years I’ve had a few customer service mishaps here and there and a couple over cooked eggs along the way, but nothing too alarming. Something changed about a year ago, the food was no longer full of the craft and flavor that I could justify waiting for and waste a Sunday morning on and the customer service was beyond unpleasant. Every few months I would forget my last experience there and attempt to give it another go, only to be reminded of why I get to begin with. Yesterday has sealed brooklyn standards fate in my purse strings. I went in to order some to go sandwiches(cause really, who wants to spend the morning barely being waited on and treated as though your presence is an annoyance to them?) which you can only get to go. After being ignored by the gal waiting on the bar area/working the register a gentleman came up and asked if he could have his check. I took the opportunity to ask if we could order some sandwiches when she had a moment. She gave me a dirty look and said«I’m maybe but it’s gonna be like a really long wait» and I said oh okay we’re grabbing them to go” and she goes«yeah but it’s brunch so like, we don’t really have the time»…dumbfounded I was like«okay cool I’ll just grab something down the street.» Seriously though, don’t offer a service if you can’t deliver on it. And stop employing such uppity c u next Tuesday’s. It’s a service industry, I’ve worked in it, and yes working brunch SUCKS, but the money sure as shit doesn’t. Should you choose to put up with the substandard service, the rancheros is pretty banging.

Man. I have been trying to give this place second, third, fourth chances FOREVER. THEYAREJUSTSOFRIGGININCONSISTENT but they have me on lock because VEGANSNACKS. So I go back… But dang, I can second the notion about toasting or not toasting bagels as you request. Seems like half the folks that work the grill look at your preference and just do the opposite. Full disclosure, I used to work here so I know this is a hard job. There’s a lot to do for everyone there but it’s not that hard to read the ticket. And it’s certainly not hard to smile. Or to not stuff food in your mouth behind the counter, in my face, right before you touch the stuff I’m buying. Or, I don’t know, acknowledge my existence. Not hard. You know who you are, brown haired pseudo-hippy counter lady! Props though, to counter lady with blond curly hair because she knows how to run that place.

I’m not into putting negative energy out there but I literally created a Unilocal account because of how appalled I was at my delivery. I ordered the french dip roast beef sandwich with au jus and a cookie. My delivery arrived with the au jus container sitting on its side leaking out onto the sandwich and cookie. The delivery guy seemed unfazed and hurried. Needless to say the sandwich and cookie were a wet soggy mess and I was only able to take a few bites before throwing it out. Perhaps it was the delivery guy but either way, common sense was lacking here. I wish there was a way to revoke tip on seamless. I pretty much gave them a donation of $ 15 to stay as hungry as I was before. What a waste of time/money/food.

This restaurant will repeatedly send the wrong items as part of their orders. If you call to complain the woman who answers the phone(if you can even get anyone there on the phone) will give you attitude and tell you that they are«too busy» to tell people if they are out of items so they just send something else they have in stock instead(and not even close substitutions). Because paying for it apparently does not mean you should actually get what you ordered?! Recently, I called them to complain about them never toasting bagels when you specifically request for them to be toasted in the order. Well apparently their reaction to this is not to be more careful when fulfilling their orders, but instead to vindictively toast my bagel beyond the point of all recognition. Literally the bagel is so charred it is black both inside(where the cream cheese goes) and out. There is no way the person making/packing up my order didn’t notice this — meaning they clearly did this on purpose as «what happens if you complain about your order.» It’s literally inedible. When I called the restaurant to complain, the woman answering the phone goes«ok, well thanks for letting us know.» No offer of a refund, no apologies, no nothing. I have called Seamless and they are looking into this restaurant.

I typically order delivery from these guys, good sandwiches for a better price than No 7 Sub. However, I ordered yesterday 9⁄2 and started eating the quinoa pasta and it tasted kinda strange. Looked on the bottom of the container and noticed a date stamp of 8⁄31. Please don’t send your expired leftovers to delivery customers!
