We have been in our place for a year now, and this place definitely keeps our location a plus. We LOVE Big John’s for an any time — great service, friendly staff (love ya Tony!) and more importantly, the food never disappoints!
My favorite go to for breakfast is the Egg, Cheese and Sausage Hero or Croissant sandwich.
Lunch/​Dinner — Chicken Chipotle Wrap with no jalapenos (the chicken is spicy enough!).
If you’re around — TRY IT OUT!

Just ate there this morning, had a Chipotle Hero sandwich which was just delicious! A shame I only got to eat here once in my trip to NYC. I did try and eat there earlier in the week but it was surprisingly closed when I walked down.

The service at Big Johns is great, and the employees are super friendly. My brother loves the burgers and recommended me to try one. The Texas burger was so juicy and the fries weren’t dry or too crisp.

Just discovered this place. Had grilled chicken ceasar salad, and it was very good. Chicken wasn’t dry, and good service.

This place has pretty good breakfast sandwiches, but they seem to choose their hours of operations on a whim.
On a Saturday at 10am their doors will be inexplicably shuttered. Occasionally I’ll come home after work at around 5:30 or 6 and they just won’t be open.
Also, they’re closed on Sunday which I find sort of frustrating.
The food is good if you’re physically able to get it– I can’t personally seem to ever try them when they’re open.

Always fantastic. Good, solid food and fast delivery. They have tons of different burgers, wraps and breakfast all day. I always order through seamless, and delivery almost always arrives 15 minutes earlier than the estimated time. Good stuff!

$ 37.50 a great price for all this. Philly cheese steak on a hero/​big Johns fries/​cheese burger deluxe w cheese fries/​honey turkey w lettuce, tomato, American cheese/​a cookies n cream cupcake and a chocolate coconut cupcake w a free bag of chips. talk about perfect Saturday.

Basic diner food. They deliver through Grubhub & Seamless. Big John is a really friendly guy as are his staff but I haven’t had any life-​changing food here, though that’s not really the point of such a place. It’s what they used to call a luncheonette.
Decent neighborhood joint. Mostly for workers in the neighborhood. Wish they had a larger selection of slightly healthier food or some standout item that really brought me back every time.

When I was feeling under the weather I didn’t feel like leaving the house. I checked out Seamless for places that had chicken noodle soup and Big John’s came up. I ordered that, and a salad.
Wow, it was great.
I was impressed how quickly it came, and the salad and toppings (goat cheese, cranberries, walnuts) were GREAT! I only wish they had later hours!
Big Johns is good — and I’ll be Seamless’ing again soon

Updating my review because I have ordered from here regularly and never had a single problem with this place since my original review. They are very nice here, always call if they are out of something and actually will deduct the price difference from your bill if the substitution is less. I appreciate the honest business and the food is very good here, I always order breakfast or a sandwich and fries, the muffins and bagels are ON POINT! I’m sad I never get there in time to try a cinnamon raisin! Definitely better than Sunset Bagels!
It sucks that they close early, but whenever I daytime order it’s always from here! They have become my favorite delivery spot in Sunset Park.

Probably the best place in the neighborhood for stuff like sandwiches, bagels and breakfast wraps. The staff is friendly, accommodating and easy to communicate with. We particularly like their Mexican breakfast wrap as a hangover cure, and I love that they offer the vegan «cream cheese» for those mornings when I want a bagel but also want to pretend like I’m trying to be healthy.
Pro Tip: Definitely order ahead! They’re very busy, all the time, so anything from the kitchen will take 15 – 20 minutes to be ready, sometimes longer, even things that you’d think would be quick. Also, they close at 5 PM most days and are not open on Sundays.

Stopped in for breakfast early one morning for the first time while waiting for the housing works store to open. I can’t stand Mcdonalds anymore so I was looking for an alternative.
Looking at the menu they had lots of options to chose from. Everyone behind the counter was really helpful and friendly. I eventually order a breakfast sandwhich with scrambled eggs, cheddar cheese and bacon. Service was fast and the food was delicious. The prices were also pretty good but can get costly depending on what your ordering.
If im in the area again I’d defintely return.

Big John’s is about a block away from me on my way to the train. I will normally stop by here for a coffee and maybe a bagel. The service is always SUPER friendly and they take the time to get to know their customers, it’s almost as if a San Francisco deli was dropped in the middle of west Brooklyn with the staff chained to the counter unable to leave. They’re that nice. And it seems like the same staff is always here… Maybe I’ve said too much.
Prices are good here, and they have some vegetarian options. One thing I would suggest if you’re in a hurry though is to call ahead, I am not sure what kind of oven they’re using to heat their bagels but it takes a looooooong time to get it back. Really. Such a long time. I love the place, love the people but hope they do something to fix that one minor aspect!

Perfect place to grab a quick bite for breakfast, lunch or dinner. It’s like a deli and diner mixed. The breakfast sandwiches and burgers are great. Fries are spectacular. Fast delivery. Great guys that work there. Even a few tables to sit and eat while waiting for laundry.
Bagels are whatever, but they’re practically the only bagels you can get in the area except Dunkin, so I’ll take it. Skip the coffee, too — it’s weak.
