Beyond Dance

This is my daughter’s second year here and we couldn’t be more pleased. The teachers are so caring and really work with your child. I also really love the neighbourhood feel this studio offers. My daughter and I have gotten to make some nice friends as well.

My daughter has begun her 9^th year of dancing with Beyond Dance. She began as a shy three year old taking ballet and tap and is now an outgoing, passionate 11 year old taking as many classes as her school schedule will allow. She LOVES every minute she spends at the studio and in class. Beyond Dance is an incredibly nurturing, professional and loving environment with dedicated staff. My daughter was accepted into Mark Twain’s dance program due in large part to her training at Beyond Dance. She goes into all auditions feeling confident and well prepared and behaves in the professional and friendly manner she was taught. The faculty she has had the great fortune to work with have stunning professional resumes. Her ballet teachers have performed professionally at Lincoln Center, her contemporary teacher has performed all over Europe and in New York based dance companies, her tap teacher studied at the Ailey school and has danced on Broadway, and her hip hop teacher was a finalist on So You Think You Can Dance.
The owner of the studio, also a wonderfully accomplished dancer, offered her students a thrilling opportunity this summer by hosting master classes taught by professionals such as Chris Judd, Lauren Froderman, Courtney Galiano, Dana Foglia, The Spellman Sisters and Rhapsody James.
I have recommended the studio to many people who are so happy having their children dance at a studio with such positive energy. I feel so fortunate to have found a studio that is a professional dance training facility and not just a competition mill. It is a studio that cares deeply for all of their students and goes the extra mile to insure customer satisfaction.

The studio is gorgeous but the staff is disorganized and fail to communicate efficiently with parents.
The teachers are average with no special or outstanding qualities. Many children in my daughters’ 3 year old 1^st year tap/​ballet class complained they were yelled at often by the instructor.
More than anything, though, the owners were so awful and rude to the parents during photo day and dance rehearsal for the recital it was truly one of the most unprofessional and chaotic displays of poor customer service I have ever witnessed and had the misfortune to personally experience.
I would recommend any serious dancer or anyone with interest in a school that CARES about the students go to Vicky Simegiatos Performing Arts Center.

My 3 year old daughter was a «newbie» going into this year. Since Sept I have watched her progress wonderfully with phenomenal intro teaching and the willingness to have each student bring their own flair and personality. Ava will be a student for years to come! A definite recommendation for anyone looking for a dance school where you child can flourish into a wonderful dancer. Stay tuned for my review after next season as well!
