Beverley Pizzeria & Cafe

Their food is some of the better Italian offered for delivery in our area (the pizza isn’t the best — Enzo’s or L&B are better options, even Papa Johns). Unfortunately they take FOREVER. Last time we ordered (~2 wks ago), it took almost 1.5 hrs. They had to figure out where our order was, and never offered to take care of anything. Tonight, they’re late again. Trying alternatives…

Make no mistake this is a pizzeria and not a restaurant, but we have been ordering from here for a long time now and their food is good. I like all of their apps, the grandma pie and vodka sauce pie has yet to disappoint and the lasagna is really delicious. Sometimes their delivery can take a while but if you order over the phone they’ll at least let you know up front if it’s a busy night. Very happy to have them in the neighborhood.

My dad always orders from this pizza shop because it is the closest. I give it 5 stars for convenience, however as time goes by I have noticed the quality of this place declining. The food gets a 3. The pizza is OK but if you leave it out overnight or put it in the fridge, it gets hard and cardboard like. The pizza is only good if you eat it on the spot while its fresh. The garlic knots are alright, but they are just rolls of dough with not much flavor; the flavor has to be inside the dough. All in all, we continue to order from this place despite the quality.

As a resident in the neighborhood for over 33 years, this is my place of choice. After a long day at the office or on a lazy weekend, I can never go wrong with their perfect slices that are made by the owner «Ben.» I don’t understand what all of the rude reviews are about, but some people just must not understand «GOOD NEW YORK PIZZA.» Love it and will be catering my office holiday party at Beverley Pizza just as I have in the past. Keep up the good work!

The pizza is sooooo good! And the large is sooooo large! Delivery time estimated it would arrive at a certain time but it was delivered 40 mins before ETA. I love it :)

This place is hands down amazing! Very clean, great service, and the best food… If you’re around the area, you have to try their food.
I definitely recommend this place to anyone looking for great food and pizza.

I love this place, This is REAL New York pizza. The food is always fresh and everything i have tried has been fabulous, The staff is friendly and it is always very clean, I recommend this place, five stars all the way!

I ordered online through seamless last night with a friend. It took over 75 min ago for my food to arrive. I didn’t receive a confirmation email and the woman on the phone said it was on its way 20 minutes before it actually arrived. The wings were good, the eggplant parm was watery and flavorless and I couldn’t eat it. They didn’t include any of my special instructions either. Waste of time and money.

I don’t get the harsh reviews. I order them through grub hub and they show up quick, food hot, and accurate. Honestly everything I get from this place has been very good. No better quick delivery chicken parm around.

My last review was moved ! Anyways I’ll say it again. This pizza place sucks, NOT CLEAN, bad customer service, worst cashiers, horrible delivery & the lady owner has a nast NASTY attitude ! She is beyond worst! They clearly cant run a business !! Sad

Since ordering multiple additional times (few decent take out options in my area) I’ve found the delivery time to generally take over an hour and usually longer than seamless’ estimate.
The Philly cheesesteak on average has very little cheese and requesting additional piece of cheese comes at a cost of $ 2!
I had buffalo wings which were ok until we noticed one still had a feather still attached. That’s a pretty basic misstep in food prep and pretty unappealing
On the plus side I would recommend their chocolate mousse dessert. Nice texture and flavor.
If there were more delivery options of better quality I wouldn’t order from here anymore.

Not sure what all the bad reviews are about. Lived in the neighborhood for 10 years and this is my husband and my fave pizza takeout place. Yes, it takes a bit long, but the shrimp parm and the pizza are very, very good. They’re also quite nice when I crawl in the shop after a long work day and need a slice to make it back to my apt.

No stars. We ordered through seamless. When the Food didn’t come after the estimated time, we called several times to see what was happening. each time we were told the food was still in their kitchen because they were so busy. this happened for over 90 minutes. During our last call the woman was so rude (because we’d kept calling) and said she had no estimate for our food delivery. we ended up picking it up. It was good but we’ll never go back here again.

I ordered a half mushroom/​half pepperoni pizza through seamless. The pizza that arrived was half plain, half scattered pepperoni and mushrooms. The mushrooms were not good. The pizza was cold. I had to go downstairs and meet the delivery guy because he was afraid of double parking for a minute. The crust was tasteless. I will not go back. I’m sorry I cheated on you, San Remo. I’ll never stray again!

: Bland and not-​so-​fresh ingredients. If you order pasta you’ll end up with a bag soaked in grease because delivery doesn’t understand not to tip takeout containers upside down. Pretty nasty cleanup. The heroes are huge but don’t offer much flavor. Items are forgotten, in my case, the soda. I just plan on ordering from San Remo on Cortelyou Road from now on.

My stomach screams happiness and my mouth speaks of joy, what’s not to love about this place?! I’ve bought three pizzas and lived to speak of how good it is. The children love it, my family enjoys it, and most of all they make it right. Their «professionals» are no joke. They do pizza the justice it deserves, and you should eat some of this good stuff.

I placed an order on Saturday night 1÷31÷15 via Seamless for Beverly Pizzeria. There was a bunch of problems with this place and I am utterly disgusted by them.
1. They quoted 60 – 75 mins for delivery but took over 90 minutes to deliver (less than a mile) WITH A CAR.
2. The food was cold when it arrived (even though they drove)
3. The delivery man was extremely rude and nasty and yelled at me for not giving him a cash tip instead of the tip i put on my card — what the hell???
*4. THERE WAS A HAIR IN MY FOOD. I ordered Chicken parm with spaghetti. I ate half on Saturday night and took the leftovers to work on Sunday for lunch. I found a hair in the breading of the chicken cutlet. Most likely an eyelash hair which was BREADED INTO THE CHICKEN. SO GROSS. I immediately ran to the bathroom. That was absolutely appalling. The chicken itself was so thin and looked grey and old. Not worth the money for the food especially after finding someones HAIR in the breading. IT was breaded into the chicken.
– That’s so freaking nasty for a restaurant/​pizzeria to be unsanitary and unhygienic and send out contaminated food.
* I will NEVER patronize Beverley Pizza again. Their food tastes like shxt and it’s not worth the wait time or money. Finding the hair breaded into the chicken made me wonder — do they even wash their hands before handling the pizza barehanded? Probably not.

Pizza wasn’t bad, staff seemed ok to me. I went in to order a pie, maybe waited about 7 – 10 minutes for a freshly baked pie. Tasted… Like regular pizza. Not the best, not the worst.
The lady, who seemed to be the owner, seemed to try to get the work flowing. But she shouldn’t be so hustle-​y bustle-​y with the workers in front of customers. Made me feel like I was supposed to be doing something too before she could call me out on it. Lol.

Ordered through Grubhub– chicken parm with ziti and garlic knots with two drinks.
Food comes after an hour and the delivery kid forgot two drinks. No big deal– he said he will be back soon. I start to eat the food and immediately am disappointed. The pasta was over cooked, the sauce bland and clearly cheap, and the chicken was chicken fingers that tasted stale and gross with equally gross cheese.
I called and said very nicely I feel bad, but I’m unhappy with the food and would like my money back. The rude obnoxious lady on the phone asks me why I don’t like it so I explain and she laughs and says «Honey, we get our chicken shipped to us fresh daily.» Right– let’s be serious. Still trying to be calm and nice I say can I just get a small pizza instead and I’ll hand back the other meal– at first she says okay but then again brings up the chicken and why I don’t like it and so I say I don’t like it, it’s bland and essentially chicken fingers covered in stale cheese and say either bring the pizza or I’ll just get my money back– she starts getting loud so I told her I’ll pay for the drinks and garlic knots and she can have the chicken parm back and I hang up.
The delivery guy comes, has to call to «make sure» he can refund, the guy on the phone was being a jerk and like some bratty child insists the delivery kid take back everything including my half full root beer and to give me my money back. I say well I’ll pay and keep the garlic knots and the drinks and you can have a tip and just give me the $ 15 back for the chicken parm– the dude on the phone refused and said I can’t have anything. So the delivery kid legit takes all the food and drinks including my opened, half empty root beer. Totally bizarre and lame.
This place sucks– end of story.
