Best Deli is basically the only place within a three square block radius to get some deli sundries, for breakfast and lunch, the multiple offerings from their sizable buffet had me slowly circling the long stretch of trays for a good while. Price is based on $ 6.95 per Lb plus tax and they cook 60 different kinds of food daily.
Baked chicken with white sauce, ox tail, pork chops, ziti, lo mein, meatballs and many rice, vegetable and additional meat offerings, chicken seems to get the most play.
That is only the hot options, as the cold salads are many and more with fruit salad, pasta salad, eggplant, crab meat, tuna fish, many wonderful salads to choose from and additional vegetable choices. Sweat peas, sweet corn, green beans, beets, Brussels sprouts and on and on and on. .
For a quick something in your system in the AM, who can beat a $ 1.49 egg on a roll served 6:00 AM till 11:00 AM, rock out a PB&J or step up to the omelettes which will not hit your wallet for more than $ 4.99, most are a dollar less.

Great little deli near my Dad’s warehouse… good coffee, breakfast sandwiches, hot lunch buffet and salad bar. The bagels are not necessarily up to par (Brooklyn standards, you know), so if you go there early for breakfast get your sandwich on a roll. The service is GREAT, I’m in and out of there in less than 3 or 4 minutes with a sandwich and coffee. If you go in, watch how fast the guy at the register opens the bags — its ridiculous!
