I went to this salon for the first time a couple of weeks ago. I went for a pedicure and a fill. All in all, I am pleased with the results. The pedicure was fast(not too fast) and thorough. I have had the range of pedis from super expensive milk baths to the around the way spot 10 minute pedis and this falls somewhere in the middle. The fill I must rave about. I must admit I went in with a pretty jacked nail situation since the place I went to originally for the tips did a hack job. I left with brand new hands! Now, the not so great things about the spot. 1. She didn’t use a base coat for the pedi. I was a little confused about this and mentioned it to her and she said she normally doesn’t. huh? ok, whatever. 2. They do not have a large selection of polish. I found only one polish I was ok with for fall. 3. There was no drying station– not sure if they have the lamps hidden or what but I got a basic fan. Not a huge issue then but it may be necessary in the winter when you are layered up. All in all, i love that it is so close to home. I will visit again, with my own base coat and polish and lots of time to dry!

Wanted to wait a few days before writing my review. I tried BEAUTYSPALOUNGE for the first time 5 days ago. The place is newly renovated and the décor is nice. It’s a full service Dominican salon(hair, mani/pedi). Not sure if they offer spa treatments as their name suggests. I just went for a basic wash and set(lavado y rolo). Was offered a glass of wine and was enjoying my time there. Until it came down to blowing my hair out. The woman could not get it styled the way I wanted it to save her life. I wanted my roots straightened leaving the curls from the roller set at the ends. It wasn’t turning out that way. To her credit every way I suggested she do it to achieve that look she tried. After going back and forth and getting really frustrated, It just wasn’t working out somehow my hair was getting bigger and bigger so I opted to just get my hair bone straight which I’m not as fan of but I must say five days later my hair still looks and feels the same way as it did when I left the salon. I am very pleased with how my hair is holding up and have been getting lots of compliments. Dominicans specialize in bone straight hair and I have to remember that. I do wish that when she realized it wasn’t going to look great she said something right away could’ve saved me the extra hour and brief frustration. Will try them Again for hair and the nail services.
