Ive been coming to Beatriz Salon over 4 years now & really love it. Ive always been able to get my hair dyed, highlights, cut and rollos without an appointment. The workers dont speak much english but are always so welcoming & sweet. Im always really happy with the job they do!

My scalp is all burn because of this lady that dont know how to deal with hair, i had to go and see a dermatology because of all the damage she did to my hair, the worst experience of my life!

standard dominican spot, the ladies were friendly and service on a monday afternoon was quick. I have medium length hair, and they charged me $ 20 for a blowout(pretty standard). As far as the blow-out, its not terrible, but definitely not the greatest. I had my hair done by an older lady with short red hair and while my hair is straight and blown out, it has no volume and no shape to the ends, it just goes straight down :/. In the end, I may go again, but I will do my hair with a different stylist. This spot seems to be kind of hit or miss, but can’t complain too much since its only two blocks from home.

Although I initially complained about Beatriz, I do enjoy going to her salon but really miss Giseal who used to do my hair.

Very nice ladies. The state of the salon is atrocious, however. There is no separate waxing area(yep, you read correctly). Otherwise the staff is courteous. If you don’t mind a messy salon then give it a go.

Beatrice has been my beautician for the last eleven years, and i never ever had any complain about her job… Actually I love all the nice comments and remarks that my close friends and coworkers tellme when they see How nice she did my hair !!! Most of them come to pay a visit to Beatrice unisex and stay as customers. Because her job with coloring and high lights is simply the best. I truly recommend it ;))… She’d and her crew/staff are phenomenal ;) Sandrye Matero

No complaints. In a nutshell, Its a standard Dominican salon. Rollers and doobies all day long. The prices are reasonable, and the highlights are gorgeous. Great job!!!

Great prices! Great highlights! Great wash, cut and set! I have been getting my hair done with Beatriz for many years, so coming here is like going to a home away from home. Never disappointed when I come here. Yeah, sometimes the wait IS a little long on the weekends! But these prices cannot be beat! The entire staff is very friendly. So no matter who does your hair, you will feel comfortable, even if you don’t speak Spanish.

After moving to Brooklyn and having to leave my wonderful stylist in Harlem I was desperate to find a Dominican run salon. I wasn’t able to find one in bay ridge but thank goodness for this gem in nearby sunset park. I did go in during the middle of the week when I knew it wouldn’t be busy and I was taken care of right away. The ladies are loud and spend most the time gossiping but they get the job done. Its a typical Spanish salon with all the usual suspects and I felt like I was back in Harlem. I got a relaxer and a trim and it came to $ 55 with a $ 5 tip which is what I used to pay at my old place. Marta who did my hair was awesome and she took great care of me. I will most definitely be going back for regular wash and sets. Like any salon expect it to be busiest on the weekends and be prepared to wait. Bring a book or ur iPod if u have to.
